Hi CNB,
Is Jesus our God”.
Funny that Jesus said in Jn 8
” 54Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:”May 10, 2007 at 9:21 pm#51868Worshipping JesusParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 11 2007,08:44) Hi CNB,

NHHere is one way the Father honours Jesus…
Heb 1:
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, *And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, *Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever*: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.NH
Do you think the Angels committed Idolatry by worshipping the Son?
After all the scriptures say that we should *worship the Lord our God and him only should we serve*.
So do you honour the Son like the Father by calling him God?
Thomas gave us an example. John was an eye witness and wrote of it.

Would you apply the earthly to the heavenly?

NHI thought we are supposed to follow God.
“Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and *him only shalt thou serve*.”
So you are trying to follow a man who is in heaven?
What about following God who lives in us?

So Jesus is not your Lord?

NHJesus is My Lord and My God. Other wise I would be breaking the first commandment.
Romans 14:11
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and *every tongue shall confess to God*.How about you NH? How many Lords and masters do you have?
May 13, 2007 at 5:37 am#51976NickHassanParticipantHi W,
Then do you not know the God of Jesus?

NHYes and I also know the Monogenes Son of God, who the Father honours as God and would have us do the same.
How about you NH?
Do you honour the Son as you honour the Father?
It is his commandment you know?

If Jesus is your God who is the God you speak of here?May 14, 2007 at 12:33 am#52033Worshipping JesusParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 14 2007,12:04) Hi W,

If Jesus is your God who is the God you speak of here?
NHHeb 1:8
*But unto the Son he (God) saith , Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever*: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the *Word was with God, and the Word was God*.NH, you just rebuked charity for not believing Johns testimony, and yet you apparantly dont either.
Do you believe John when it only fits your doctrine?
Are you of those who turned back because Jesus had said some hard to be understood statements?
Jn 6:51
I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.Jn 6:60
Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, *This is an hard saying*; who can hear it?Jn 6:64
But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.Jn 6:66
From that time *many of his disciples went back*, and walked no more with him.Interesting how that for those who turned back the chapter and verse is “666”.
NH, there was a time that you believed these words in John 1:1.
When did you turn back and decide that Johns word was no longer true and that the Word who was God is no longer God?
You did tell me he was God NH! Who beguiled you?
I pray for you NH that you will return back to the one who saved you, the Lord and God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
May 14, 2007 at 12:43 am#52034NickHassanParticipantHi W,
John knew who Jesus is.
He was on the mountain when God told him.
And he believed him when he said he is the Son of God.
