All three “persons” the same or is it variable?
You should enjoy the love of the God of Jesus and of Israel.October 20, 2009 at 1:28 am#152179NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
I'm sorry to disappoint you about the love of your god as there is no trinity god.
That was invented by the catholics and everyone still believes the theory.October 20, 2009 at 2:51 am#152189bodhithartaParticipantQuote (katjo @ Oct. 20 2009,05:42) How many times has someone said we do not believe in 3 Gods. You should know what the trinity is and know it does not mean 3 Gods, since you where a Catholic right? Were they worshipping 3 Gods? Scripture says with our own eyes shall we see God!!)huh)
They worship 3 personsdo thee 3 persons have 3 different wills?
October 20, 2009 at 4:13 pm#152251AnonymousInactivefor those who always says jesus is the son of God, I think this explains the Son of God very well.
Jesus is not God’s Son in the sense of a human father and a son. God did not get married and have a son. God did not mate with Mary and, together with her, produce a son. Jesus is God’s Son in the sense that He is God made manifest in human form (John 1:1, 14). Jesus is God's Son in that He was conceived in Mary by the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:35 declares, “The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.’”During His trial before the Jewish leaders, the High Priest demanded of Jesus, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God” (Matthew 26:63). “’Yes, it is as you say,’ Jesus replied. ‘But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven’” (Matthew 26:64). The Jewish leaders responded by accusing Jesus of blasphemy (Matthew 26:65-66). Later, before Pontius Pilate, “The Jews insisted, ‘We have a law, and according to that law He must die, because He claimed to be the Son of God’” (John 19:7). Why would His claiming to be the Son of God be considered blasphemy and be worthy of a death sentence? The Jewish leaders understood exactly what Jesus meant by the phrase “Son of God.” To be the Son of God is to be of the same nature as God. The Son of God is “of God.” The claim to be of the same nature as God—to in fact be God—was blasphemy to the Jewish leaders; therefore, they demanded Jesus’ death, in keeping with Leviticus 24:15. Hebrews 1:3 expresses this very clearly, “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being.”
Another example can be found in John 17:12 where Judas is described as the “son of perdition.” John 6:71 tells us that Judas was the son of Simon. What does John 17:12 mean by describing Judas as the “son of perdition”? The word perdition means “destruction, ruin, waste.” Judas was not the literal son of “ruin, destruction, and waste,” but those things were the identity of Judas' life. Judas was a manifestation of perdition. In this same way, Jesus is the Son of God. The Son of God is God. Jesus is God made manifest (John 1:1, 14).

So a son is a manifestation of a father??
You wriggle searching for any way to justify a non scriptural teaching.October 20, 2009 at 6:05 pm#152273NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,

October 20, 2009 at 10:37 pm#152371NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
So you will stand behind teachers that are less than THE TEACHER?
He never taught any trinityOctober 21, 2009 at 12:53 am#152412AnonymousInactivewhy did he speak in parrables?
October 21, 2009 at 1:15 am#152417NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
He certainly spoke in parables to bring men down to the level of children from their reliance on vain intellect.
But no parable says he was also the God who sent him or that he was a part of a trinity god.
Can you show us where he did these things … or think again?October 21, 2009 at 2:26 am#152431AnonymousInactiveNick, can you understand this?
Jesus is God’s Son in that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit . But that does not mean Jesus did not exist before He was conceived. Jesus has always existed. Read John 8;58 and 10;30. When Jesus was conceived, than He became a human being in addition to being God (John 1:1 and 14.)
Jesus always had been God. BUT at the incarnation Jesus became a human being (John 1:14 word was made flesh). Jesus was one Person, fully God and fully man.
Jesus had two natures, but only one personality.
When Jesus was conceived, He became a human being in addition to being God. Remember what (John 1:1 and 14 says.).October 21, 2009 at 2:35 am#152436NickHassanParticipantHi Kat,
So he is not God then? Not the God Who sent him and by whose spirit he was conceived.
Good. I thought you were going to offer us several gods. You will remember you chose to follow men rather than him when you meet him.

No, that's not hard to believe at all but how many wills does he have?October 21, 2009 at 1:49 pm#152553AnonymousInactivefully God and fully man!
October 21, 2009 at 5:11 pm#152584NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
So catholic tradition will tell you.
But you should dig deeper.October 21, 2009 at 5:54 pm#152599bodhithartaParticipantQuote (katjo @ Oct. 22 2009,01:49) fully God and fully man!
So there are 2 Gods in heaven?God told Jesus to sit at HIS right hand so does that make 2 Gods?
October 22, 2009 at 2:12 am#152713AnonymousInactiveThe meaning of Christ is “sitting” is referring to the fact that His work of redemption is done and when the fullness of the gentiles is brought in (tells us in Romans 11:25), Christ's enemies will be made His footstool as the end of the age comes, all prophecy is completed.
October 22, 2009 at 2:26 am#152716AnonymousInactiveJesus is called the first-born, not the first-created. The word “first-born” (Greek word “prototokos”) means priority. He could not be first created if He is creator!
