Hi KAT,
Did Jesus come to tell us of his Father, the God of Israel, or to tell men actually God is a trinity?October 15, 2009 at 1:01 am#150436AnonymousInactivetrinity!
October 15, 2009 at 1:15 am#150443AnonymousInactiveROKKAMAN- since your not a believer of the trintiy, you quotted; YHWH as being King of Kings and Lord of Lords just as also Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. But there is only one lord , one God!

Really,
Where did Jesus teach that he was God and that he is part of a trinity God with God's Spirit and God?October 15, 2009 at 4:16 pm#150586AnonymousInactiveIve already given you plenty of scriptures, You ignore them. God is spirit, right? Are you a spirit that lives in a body?

Scripture doesn't say there is only one Lord…It actually says there are many gods and many lords. What it does say is that there is only One true GOD.
Which is YHWH king of kings, lord of lords.
Jesus is his Son who is to inherit his kingdom.
If he does that, Jesus doesn't become The one true God, but he does become King of Kings and Lord of Lords…that is why he is given that title in revelations…after he conquers all.
Let me note, I was a trinitarian last week, I gave it up a couple days ago realizing that God is beyond a trinity.
He is everything in creation and out of creation, he transcends human comprehension, lol even human existence…
So how can we conform him to a triangle to udnerstand his being? lol

Hi KAT,
You have never given any scriptures that teach that God is a trinity and so Jesus is not the Son of God.
Now you resort to greek logic to defend the indefensible folly of trinity.
Wake up.October 15, 2009 at 4:48 pm#150598AnonymousInactivenick, if you know so much you need to start answering questions and explaining your self, enstead of just leaving your little remarks.
October 15, 2009 at 5:34 pm#150606NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
Why divert from the issue? Why do you not believe Jesus when he says he is the Son of God, and the Father is the God of the Jews and his God?
Are the words of religious men more convincing?
October 16, 2009 at 1:48 am#150762AnonymousInactiveWhy do you not believe Jesus when he says ;I and my Father are one? Why He blesses Thomas for calling Him ” my Lord and my God? John; he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.why dont you believe when Jude tells us he is our wise God and Saviour, Isaiah- Our Everlasting Father, Rev. the Almighty -Colossins 2:8 Beware least any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, and not after Christ. (9) For in Him dwelleth ALL the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (ALL NICK), Ive gave you so many over and over so im going to stop. If the word tells us He was there in the beginning , all things were made by Him, The word was God and became flesh, God is spirit. Are you not a spirit that lives in a body? Yes, we all are. Does that make you seperate; No. The same with God when He became flesh, and His spirit is what lives in us.(After you except Christ) Not just a spirit, the Holy Spirit. How do you not see any trinity there? You could never change my beliefs. There is way too many scriptures that would contradict each other if it were not true. I dont see how people look over them. I really dont.(Here is another one on the Holy spirit being a He JOhn 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth; for HE shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak; and HE will shew you things to come.) Everyone seems to think if we believe in the trinity we are so focused on Jesus that we are leaving God out. Thats not so. And no we do not believe in three Gods. One God. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one. What a awesome God!!
October 16, 2009 at 1:49 am#150764NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
Do you think he was saying he is his own father?
No he is the Son of God.

October 16, 2009 at 2:26 am#150769NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
God was IN CHRIST.[2Cor5] and Thomas recognised that truth.
He had just been taught it in Jn14Christ was not the God Who was in him and neither was God a man.
You have been misledOctober 16, 2009 at 2:28 am#150770NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
Did a trinity come in the flesh?
Was God as a trinity in Jesus -that makes four so far .October 16, 2009 at 2:30 am#150771NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
Are you a true worshiper?Jesus said they worship the Father in Jn4.
Men prefer their own ideas.October 16, 2009 at 3:09 pm#150880AnonymousInactiveyou quotted God was in Christ and Thomas realized the truth. God is spirit. Your spirit lives in your body, does that make and your spirit different than you ? No, your still ONE person. Just as Jesus tells you, the Father and I are one. If Colossians tells us all things were created by Christ, and he is the image of the invisable God, and all fulness dwells in Him , and John tells us the Word became flesh, Genesis tells us we are created in his own image(but God is spirit) what image do we look like than? spirit ,flesh? THe creator God, became flesh as a perfect man, so He could become sin for us by dying on the cross and suffering the penalty for sin. BUT because He is the creator, and has ultimate power, He rose from the dead, and overcame the curse. (THis is quotted in a pamplet I have from church.) The last Adam, Jesus Christ, also experienced the judgement of God- not for His own sins(He lived a perfect life) but for the sins of mankind. He died on the cross to atone for sin(Isaiah 53:5 1Peter 3;8 Hebrews 2;9) But He did not stay dead, nor did His body “see coruption”(Acts 2;27, 13;35-37. On the third day He rose again, thereby overcoming the devil and the power of death for all people who beleive in him(Hebrews 2;14) and bringing resurrection from the dead(1Corith 15;22-23)This is the message of the babe born in Bethleham. It starts with the creation of a perfect world, and than, because of our sin in Adam, leads to our need for a Saviour-which is why Jesus stepped into history to become flesh 2000 years ago.
October 16, 2009 at 3:10 pm#150881AnonymousInactiveI hope your worshipping Jesus!!
October 16, 2009 at 5:39 pm#150888NickHassanParticipantHi KAT,
Yes the spirit of Jesus the man was in him till it parted from him at calvary.[mt27.50]
The Spirit of God was also in him just as that Spirit can be in us with our spirit till we die too.[Rom8.16]
But that anointing Spirit only came onto him at the Jordan and He and his God were one in the Holy Spirit [Lk3.22, Lk 4.1]
He revealed God living in him and working through him till he died by the hands of men who hated God preferring the traditions of men [mk7]
We too can be cleansed and made suitable vessels[2Tim2.20] for the Spirit of Christ so that God [Eph 3.19]can continue that work of reconciliating the world to Himself.[2cor 5.18]But no the vessel of Jesus Christ was not the God Who was in him.[2Cor 5.19]
