Hi,
Scripture tells us there is a god of this world. He offered Jesus worldly glory and power and Jesus did not argue that it was his to give.
Luke 4:5
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.6And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
James warned us that it is adultery to prefer the friendship of the world.
James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.So did John
1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
We are told we are stronger than Satan, in Christ
1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.and how to recognise his agents-by their worldly talk
1 John 4:5
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.Paul was offended by the worldly idolatry of Athens, with it's mocking philosophers, the lovers of logical debate.
Acts 17
16Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.17Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.
18Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.
19And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?
20For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.
21(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
He was not obliged to remain there but having taken a crop for God moved on.

You say:
Quote He offered Jesus worldly glory and power and Jesus did not argue that it was his to give. And he still can still give us these things in this world, but we know that this world is temporary and what God has promised us, his heirs, as His children in the world to come is for as eternity.
Quote Jhn 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. Jhn 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: [but] the Son abideth ever.
Jhn 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Jhn 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
