If you want to get the Holy Spirit then you have to obey all the teachings of Jesus the Anointed one.
If you walk according to the way of the Spirit then you will not sin.

So we must become perfect first?No just walk through the door of Christ and ask your Father for His Spirit.[Lk11]
You are then given sufficient help to start your journey, fed, guided, given instructions on how to find refreshment and any help you need.
You may choose to go back, stop walking or sit down feeling sorry for yourself but the aim is salvation of the soul and becoming a son of God.

I agree with this statement as well though I am not sure “help” is a strong enough word.

Perfection is only possible by the grace of God that comes through Jesus Christ, for us the source of the Spirit.
Sanctification is the work of the Spirit not the result of our useless striving.

The way of Jesus we follow begins for us at the Jordan.
We are not under the Law and cannot cleanse ourselves by perfect obedience to it.

But How do you follow Jesus?
Is it not by following His words in the Holy bible?
Is not the Holy bible that brings us to Jesus?
Or is there some other way?Is it not through the Holy bible that we can build our strong foundation? And receive the HS.
Or do we just believe without any foundation?
A house build on sand will fall in the storm.
This will be the problem for many christians.
All is fine: Untill the storm comes.There is no security in blind faith.
We need to feed on Jesus words.
His Spirit flesh,and blood.Without watering down His blood with some strange blood.
And yoking His flesh with some strange flesh.
What has the temple of God has in common with
corruption? Are all men not corrupt?
Mans thoughts are not God thoughts.
The Word of God is the way;which is Jesus.wakeup.
