How silly. People have been talking about the end times since Jesus left. You think because someone is challenging your faith on an internet forum that the last days are upon us? But I on the other hand am not rejecting Jesus at all. I'm simply getting you to think beyond the various dogmas you've been taught and dig deep and learn. Yet you seem to want to sit out and be satisifed with observing 10 Commandments and chanting Jesus' name. That was good for day one of your Christian walk, so don't you think its time to move on to day 2?

I believe in the “good news”, but I also believe that there is a day of judgment for every one, and that is good news also.
But you seem to be implying that if one does not choose to accept Jesus that they will be destroyed. What of the Jew who has studied Torah all his life and does not see Jesus at all in the Hebrew scriptures? Or the Muslim who believes that God is know through his faith?

Jesus is the means through whom God has made provision for a man's sins to be forgiven. He is the propitiation for our sins, and without this provision there is no forgiveness for sins.
I have already given you the scriptures that show that Jesus is the only way for anyone to be saved.
It is not God's will for anyone to be destroyed, but if a person chooses not accept what God has done for him then the only recourse is for God to judge that man according to his works.
How much love do you want for me to preach to you? Have you seen all that Jesus suffered in our behalf, so that we could have the privledge and horour of being sons of the Most High God.

I can understand your reasoning but I challenge you to think about this response. You seem to be implying that accepting Jesus will lower God's expectations of you. IOW, the non-Christian will have to be extra good while the Christian will have to just scrape by with the blood covering. Does that seem the way to promote love and peace among others?

Not at all, nobody can make it on their righteousness the price needed to be paid by one who could. Faith is what provides access to this payment. Personally I do not believe that it is the works themselves that they are to be judged by, but by what motivated them to do the works

James 2:13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!
I believe that they are saved by a faith like Abraham's, you'll notice that none of the items listed at the judgment in Matthew 25 are specified in the ten commandments, but are in full compliance with the commandments of love (love fullfills the law).My opinion – Wm

Ken, I'm sorry you are lonely and find comfort in this forum. Perhaps I will leave for good so you can have a safe haven and live your life in cyber peace on heaven.net. I apologize for asking you questions you don't have any answers for, I know it is hard on you being a new believer. When you get off of the skim milk of the Word perhaps I will come back and see if your faith is stronger.
