I might was well be straight up and say: “I haven’t watched the video because I think this will be more philosophical drivel rather than the revealed truth of scripture”.
Twenty or so years ago, I set out to prove once and for all if the Trinity was a true doctrine or not. As a young believer, this is what I was taught, so I accepted it and I remember defending it on one occasion. But as I read scripture, it seemed to contradict this doctrine and I was confused. I tried to ignore this conviction for years, but it kept pressing me until I decided to once and for all check it out and know for sure either way. I am glad I did because there were many more scriptures that proved that God was not a Trinity or any other kind on Poly-god, but was exclusively the Father. This truth set me free from the religion of Babylon and from men’s tradition which quite frankly I found boring. I know many just leave church because of boredom and that is the fruit of men’s traditions.
I decided to write the reasons down and put it out there on the Web in order to come under scrutiny and correction if necessary. While I could not see the Trinity in scripture, I was almost sure that someone would be able to show me why God was a Trinity and prove my writing wrong. The idea I had was to then preach the Trinity thereafter and show everyone why this doctrine was true because I would then have no doubt and would be in a good position to teach other doubters.
However, over a period of 20 years or so, no Polytarian could prove my conviction and consequent writing wrong while many tried. They could not support their doctrine and thus I gave the doctrine a fair hearing and it lost. Now we have you LU as one of the last to argue for this poly-God theory albeit you have a different spin on it. However, the same arguments that have disposed of the Trinitarians dispose of you too and we really just need to repeat what we said to them.
We know that no one who denies the Son has the Father and whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. We also know that those who hear the shepherd are his sheep. So when the shepherd said this: “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent”, many clearly do not believe because they preach not that the only true God is the one who sent Jesus into the world.
Clearly, if we do not hear the testimony of the son, then we do not hear God’s testimony either. And for all those with child-like faith, we can plainly see that Jesus cannot be God simply because he is the son of that God. The Antichrist is the one who denies the son of God and by teaching that he is God too, you subtly teach that he is not the son in the true sense or of God in the true sense.
In the beginning the Word was with God and the Church fathers taught that the Word was the first work of the Father, like a fire igniting another fire. So it is understood by some whose minds are wired philosophically that he must be God because man begets man, dog begats dog, and cat begats cat. So God begets God. However, God begets sons and he shares his divine nature. God is clearly the source of all things and not defined as the nature and characteristics that come from him. Neither is God a family like man, dog, and cat. While the Word came from God, the Word that was begotten was not God himself but of that God. When the Word became flesh, he was begotten a son and God became a Father as it is written. Yes there was a time that there was only God. Then God begat the Word to be with him and from there, God created all things through his Word. Before that, there was only God and the Word was in him as an attribute, not a person. But some vainly imagine that he existed as a person for all eternity within God and all kinds of gods are created from there. Then the next level of madness also claims that Mary who begat this God is the Mother of God. Then the journey from true faith to pagan teachings is made complete.
Jesus is the Word of God, he is the son of God, and the image of the invisible God. He is not that God, but the image of that God. This is what scripture teaches us time and time again. We would do well to steer clear of all those who deny the only true God and the son of God. And again, in case there was any doubt, Jesus and John clear this up for us with Jesus own words. Do we hear the shepherd and believe his words?
John 17:3
“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent”,Poor t8, 20 years of searching and he still does not see that apart from the work AND unity of Father with His Son and Spirit, there is no eternal life offered to anyone nor would there be a book of John to quote from. He even posts this verse as if it proves there is no unity of God but right there before our eyes it says that we need to know the Father AND the Son for eternal life. John 17:3
“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, AND Jesus Christ, whom you have sent”What you have there is one member of the Unity of God who sent another member of the Unity of God and you need to know both of them for eternal life.
Please people, listen to the video series and only comment if you have done so. I learned something new from the videos. In particular, I learned that the Jews had understood that YHVH was a complex unity before Christ was born in the flesh. The pastor takes us to the evidence of this. Please watch this. It will really help you better understand the Unity of God. You do not want to die in denial of Yeshua’s deity when you have to stand before Him.
Apart from the work within the unity of God, you do not exist my friends.
