Hi NickHad a quick scan, and I see this person has his own interpretation and not according to the truth.
There are many interpretations, and that is just one of many.I will look into it deeper later, and tell you why he is in error.

Thank you.April 10, 2014 at 1:18 pm#377205942767ParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ April 10 2014,10:52) Hi 94,
The Spirit of God abides in us beyond death
2.1 John 3:24
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
Hi Nick:This is what the Apostle Paul states:
Quote Romans 8 (King James Version)
Romans 8
King James Version (KJV)
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

What I liked is that the author researched the biblical usage of words such as olive tree and lampstands.
Right or wrong in the conclusions I believe that is one of the ways to find truth.Going on instinct and experience and traditional views seems to be more the custom here for some.
rev 11 is spiritual as you know

The scripture states that Christ was raised from the dead. You stated that this Spirit remained within him when he died?Love in Christ,

So you say.
Nick.I can tell by your conduct.
Not asking why is it so;but scolding instead.
If you dont agree with something you dont scold;
but ask why such and such, for I see it this way,or that way.
Provide scriptures. There are some here with that same attitude.
Very deffensive of their doctrine.
Deffend by scolding. That is a stumbling block.

Hi Nick:There is no need for the Spirit in a dead body. Our body is dead because of sin, and the Holy Spirit has raised us from the dead, spiritual separation from God, and has made us alive to God in this mortal body, but this body will go to the dust if we go by the grave, or it will be transformed when the Lord comes for the church if we are still alive at the time of his coming. We will receive a new body at that time, and will be raised from the physical death that we have suffered or transformed so that we do not have to suffer this physical death.

Yes but the promise of God is that he will not leave or forsake us.
The Spirit abides while the old body disintegrates
