hi to all
it seems to me Nick you statement with a twist in it ,is this christian and well intended ?
i do believe what it said in the scriptures ,that we all will face the tribunal of christ according to Paul, but on the other side the person who has devoted is live to make pease whit is God and lord King by follow his commands has already stand in the face of the tribunal of Christ ,because the jugement starts with the people of God .November 13, 2009 at 6:26 pm#156555NickHassanParticipantHi T,
Judgement indeed begins in with the people of God. Our God is a consuming fire and His Spirit burns out the dross and those buildings that survive that fire[1Cor3] are ready to be used for greater things. Those sufferings are being endured all over the world by God's people as the Spirit sanctifies them and changes them into the likeness of Jesus. But some shrink back from the changes that must occur and do not let the Spirit rule and use them. But after we die and are raised in the first resurrection and meet with the one who is our Lord at the tribunal of Christ the level to which we have attained usefulness to God is measured.

If you are not yet a servant or slave of Christ it is necessary that you become one for the proper function of the Body of Christ.
Learn from the Roman Centurion in Lk 7 who understood the true function of all authority.
Any action by a member of Christ's body that is not ordered by the head is iniquity.November 13, 2009 at 9:35 pm#156586georgParticipantNick

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.
1Pe 4:13 But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
1Pe 4:14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
1Pe 4:15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler.
1Pe 4:16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
1Pe 4:17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
1Pe 4:18 And,
“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
1Pe 4:19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do goodthis is wath we should all do has true christians

You quoted
Luke 12:48
King James Version (KJV)48But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
I think this is relevant here

True; Those are the true believers. Not too many I'm afraid.
They will not see death. They have *secured* everlasting life,
but can still die.Jn5

what is the tribunal of Christ
May 5, 2014 at 9:15 pm#380672NickHassanParticipantHi T,
This is the tribunal for the servantsMt 25
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 and I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.May 5, 2014 at 9:20 pm#380675terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 06 2014,03:15) Hi T,

hi Nyes in part ,
Jn 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
Jn 3:20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
Jn 3:21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”the true judgment is for what we have done and for what we should have done and did not do,
