    Jesus (Jehovah) the Rock

1Co 10:4  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Deu 32:3  Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
Deu 32:4  He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
1Sa 2:2  There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
1Sa 2:2  There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
Psa 78:35  And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.

Yes! God was their Rock.    Who was that Rock?

1Co 10:4  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

    Hi CB,
The drink that Christ offers is the Spirit[Jn 7].
The Spirit was with Moses[1Peter 1].

    Hi kenrch,
    How is the synagogue going?

    Hi Nick,

I have no empty words or cute phrases or even words of wisdom for you. Only the truth.

Rev 2:9  I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Rev 3:9  Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

These people say they are Jews [spiritual Jews] but are of the synagogue of Satan.

    Wonder why?
Mat 7:20  Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
Mat 7:21  “Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Mat 7:22  On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?'
Mat 7:23  And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you WORKERS OF LAWLESSNESS'.

Know anyone like that Nick?  Have you a mirror?

       :D

What do the remnants of the true church do Nick?

Keep the commandments of God.  Do you keep the Commandmentds Nick?

Rev 12:17  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev 14:12  Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Ummmmmmm  Saints keep the commandments of God.  Why? They don't have too!  :D

    Hi kenrch,
Christ is the cornerstone of truth and he established that the OT law was good.
But that does not mean he reaffirmed it's continued preeminence over men.
He simply confirmed it was what God had put in place for His chosen people.
But the monitor had to give way to the new indwelling law of the Spirit.

    Hi kenrch,
Jesus spoke a lot about the Law to those under it.
    He spoke of individual laws.
    Mt 19
” 16And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

18He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

19Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. “

Can you show me the verse where he reinforced the sabbath?
    He did not.

Instead he offered all men the new way, the new law of the Spirit.

    Mt 19
” 20The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

23Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

Luk 6:9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

It's good to do good ON THE SABBATH. Did He say the sabbath was done away with? No He said to do good on the Sabbath

You can't choose which commandment you will keep. It doesn't work that way Nick

Jam 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Jam 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

    Hi kenrch,
You aptly demonstrate the problem with the OT law.
It is a measure and men love black and white measures
You should prefer not to be tested against a black and white measure
[as who is righteous?], but with compassion and love.
Such is the law of the Spirit,
    the law of love.

The law of love is to keep the commandments because we love God and wish to please Him by doing His will.

Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Mat 7:23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'

1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

What does the Word of God say the very truth of truth. How do you please your wife is it by doing what she does not like? Is that how you show her your love or with just lip service.

    Hi kenrch,
To be under the freeing law of the Spirit is not to be lawless.
    Gal 5
1Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

Do not reject the stone of Christ for the slavery of Judaism.

I love to do the Fathers will that is love to do the will of the Father. Because I keep His law I am free. Those who break the Law are in bondage because they break the Law. Those who keep the law don't fear the police only those who break the law.

2Jo 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

This is the commandment. That we walk after His commandments.

1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

If everyone kept the commandments this earth would be paradise. So why are you arguing Nick would you not like to live in paradise?

If all were led by the Spirit then they would not be striving and carnally minded
and rather at rest in Christ but the law of love would surely be fulfilled.

You are at rest to sin? Is that why Jesus died? So you could break His Commandments which is sin.

    LOVE:

2Jo 1:6 And this is love, that we should walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, even as ye heard from the beginning, that ye should walk in it.

Love is that we walk after His Commandments (do His will). This is the Commandment from the beginning.

2Jo 1:6 And this is love, that we should walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, even as ye heard from the beginning, that ye should walk in it.

1Jo 5:2 Hereby we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments.

Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

You speak of love but disobey. What kind of love is this? I love you but I will do what you hate!

Those who do the will of the Father Jesus recognizes. Anybody else He will tell them He never knew them.

Mat 7:20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
Mat 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER who is in heaven.

Mat 7:23 And then will I declare to them, ***'I never knew you; depart from me, you WORKERS OF LAWLESSNESS.'

Jesus says only those who do the Father's will enter the kingdom of heaven. Those who break the Law He will tell them He NEVER knew them.

How are you to enter heaven Nick if you don't do His Commandments.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

The saints keep the Commandments of God.

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
