Friends,
Preterism is the view that ALL biblical prophecy has been fulfilled including Christ's second coming in ad70. We are in the new heaven and earth (i.e., the eternal new covenant age).
Futurist Christians have been saying for 2,000 years that Christ is coming “soon.” But many people are starting to wake up. A coming that is “soon” cannot be delayed for thousands of years. If you have it in you to question futurist tradition then check out Preterist radio and tv,
God bless,
Kangaroo Jack

Sort of frog like spirits of deception?July 17, 2010 at 1:08 am#204327942767ParticipantMatthew 24:11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Quote Matthew 24:29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Quote 2 Peter 3 1This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up

Further proof that Nick has nothing more to offer then his canned replies.Jesus said that the destruction of Jerusalem was the fulfillment of ALL things.
Nick has yet to make an attempt to disprove Preterism scripturally.

For God, a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. By that measure, JC has been gone for less than two days. What's the hurry? II Peter 3:8-9.If I was God, [which I am not, I have to say this for the folks that believe that JC is God. Just because I am a man that loves and believes God, does not mean that I am God].. I would give it at least a week so we could get a weekend in there.
My humor is not always appreciated.

To God a day is AS a thousand years and a thousand years is AS one day. Note that it does not say that one day IS a thousand years and vice versa. To us “shortly” means “shortly” and a “little while” means a “little while.”
Hebrews 10:27:
37For in just a very little while,
“He who is coming will come and will not delay. Heb. 10:37 NIVJesus came back to His generation just as He promised. If He failed them then we have no good reason to trust Him.

But many are still deceived by things like the Trinity Doctrine.
KJ, if you can preach the false Trinity Doctrine, then you can also preach other false messages and you need to move toward being without spot and blemish. You don't give us confidence in your words considering the array of other teachings you bring here, so why would we take this topic seriously?

Amen Amen on KJ's credibility in doctrinal matters.Everyone wants to look at the things that happen in the world and think it is definite sign of the end. Most do not realize that Christ is coming back for a perfect spotless bride. Christ will not come until that happens.
