Has he? Last time I looked “satan” seemed to be having his way. The fastest growing religion in the USA, with Christianity on the decline at the same time, is Wicca. Worldwide, Christianity is declining while Islam is growing. But of course the Christian will say this means were are in “end times” right?
Well, it may be an “end time”, but likely it will not be a world end-time, more like a certain religion end-time (end of it, that is). Faith that is based on a 2000 year old book tends to lose adherents although Judaism seems to be more resilient (although small). Its amazing, I think, that Judaism has survived so long despite the many people, including Christians, who have tried to destroy it.
Part of the reason is that Judaism tends to be a way of life while Christianity is belief in a fantasy. Just like kids outgrow Santa, many are outgrowing Jesus. I often wondered why Christians wanted to dupe their kids with Santa all of those years and then expect those same kinds not to be skeptical about Jesus after that. At least Santa brought them presents every year.

We cannot understand the peace given.
So only Christians have peace? Strange, I know of many unhappy Christians and some joyful atheists. Wonder what that is all about?

The peace that passes understanding is not to do with an easy life.
Rather it is the the enabling power that makes stress no problem.So you did this Nick?

But should you not do as Jesus says and sell all you have? Or are you waiting on the handout from the rich guy? That is how Jesus said to inherit eternal life: obey the commandments and live like a pauper. Notice also that in the synoptics he never once since salvation comes through believing in him. Who changed the plan?
