    Hi,
This word means essentially a convocation of like minded people to express their unity and catholicism demands attendance at their masses casting judgements of unfaithfulness to God against their members who do not attend. The catholic church leaders control their flock by teaching salvation is by attendance at this ritual and so by implication is almost impossible to those outside their tradition.

So what do they do there that is so vital to them?

Having read various ritual prayers and recited some scriptures they take bread and wine and perform a ceremony that they claim TRANSFORMS IT BY THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT IN THE PRIESTS INTO THE BODY AND BLOOD OF JESUS. Then they hold it up in worship and come to the altar to partake of it.

So it is taught that these men have special powers to USE the power of God's Spirit, where this blessing of God rather is shown in scripture can USE men to do God's work. They claim they CELEBRATE the death of Jesus every day despite the clear teaching of Hebrews that he died once for all.

They claim to be following Jesus teaching at the last supper, but Jesus did not transform bread and wine into his body as he was yet in that body when he said it.

They claim that Jesus now IS the bread and wine they worship by the power of their 'priests'- as if Jesus was just BODY AND BLOOD anyway. All men are more than flesh, and the flesh offers nothing.

So instead of faith, 'magic' rituals that offer false teaching about God and His Son are aligned with abuse of the Spirit of God and ritualism and idolatry of mere earthly foods is substituted for true worship.

Abomination and insults to God pour daily from this false ritualistic worship and men of faith are exhorted to come out of her lest their sharing at that table aligns them too against God.

    Hi:

At least now they are teaching the Word of God when they assemble for Mass. It used to be that all was in Latin, and none of what was being said was understood unless one knew Latin.

    Love in Christ,
    Marty
