Hi Nick:
Maybe the following verses will answer your question about the verses that you quote in Ezekiel:
Quote Eze 9:1 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man [with] his destroying weapon in his hand. Eze 9:2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them [was] clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
Eze 9:3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which [had] the writer's inkhorn by his side;
Eze 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Greetings Georg…..Lets get back on the topic….We are told that,no one will be able to buy or sell without the mark…symbolicly I would think that the inference of the mark on the head of those would have to pertain to how we think or an individuals belief system…. In addition the mark on the hand would pertain to labor with reference to work being performed within the cannons of a bankrupted christianity that would declare sunday sabbaths and hold to pagan holidays….(eg.Easter,Christmas etc.)March 8, 2009 at 5:45 pm#124555CindyParticipanttheodorej
Lets look at the scriptures.
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.We have to begin with verse 15.
First; who is it that has power to give life to the image of the beast?
Second; who is the image?
And third; who is the beast?
When Justinian died in 565 AD, there was no other Roman emperor that was able to control the east, and the west. That was the time when the pope of Rome took full charge of state and church, of what used to be the western empire, just as the Roman emperors had done. Then he structured his “government” after the Romans.
The pope, the emperor,
the cardinals, the senators,
the bishops, the governors,
the mayors, the priests and monks.
So, it was the pope who gave himself life, power to speak (command), and any one that opposed him, would be killed.
Verse 16, his “MARK” was his doctrines, every body had to except (right hand) his doctrine, and believe it (forehead), again, if you refused, you would be killed. The saints did refuse. Notice also it says, “a mark”, meaning, a doctrine.
Verse 17, we know the beast was Rome, the mark of Rome was the cross; the emblem of the Catholic church is the “cross”, and so is the name, “Roman” Catholic church. What no one could by or sell was the bible, under penalty of death; if you were suspected of having read the bible, any part of it, you were killed. Only those who had, or wore the mark (cross), or the name (Roman) catholic priests, the clergy.Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
“The beast” here is the image, “the man” is the pope, his number comes from the title he gave himself, and is written on his crown; “VICARIVS FILII DEI”, Vicar of the Son of God. If you take the numerical value of those Latin letters, you come up with 666.
