Have you guys heard much about this?
A documentary is airing on it this sunday.
Basically, the claim is they found the Jesus family tomb.
Including Jesus, Mary, Mary Magdalene, his brothers (which supposedly could have included the James ossuary, famous a few years back but claimed a fake, before it went missing) and Juda the son of Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
Here is the site:

btw, I am only posting this for the sharing of information not supporting it. It's looks to be the next Davinci Code only with far more aggressive repercussions. It is helpful to know what is being said in order to defend your faith.

When you want to prove something, you can always find something if you look hard enough, but it doesn't make it right of course.
Evolution has fossils of supposed ancestors of man, but I doubt the conclusion regarding these fossils.
Likewise a tomb with the name Jesus, Mary, and Judah proves nothing to me. But if someone wanted to manufacture a conclusion to make money, they make the obvious claim it is proof that Jesus fathered a child and given the popularity of the Da Vincii debacle you've got a guaranteed money maker.
Or maybe it could be used to promote a Trinity as there are 3 mentioned on the tomb?
Vain imaginations are aplenty.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so. Amen. (Rev. 1:7)I am praying that God will somehow reach them with the knowledge of the truth and so that they may be saved.
Maybe, the motivation is the love of money. I can't say for a fact, but I do know what they propose is a lie.
Anyway, like you say it is good to have knowledge of this so that we can let people know that it is a lie.
God Bless

You bet! These people are making a film. MONEY that's what it's all about, that and deception.I look for far worse lies (false proof) than this in the near future to shake the faith of Christians and strengthen the heathens.
March 2, 2007 at 2:26 pm#43439Morning StarParticipantThe thing that bothers me was that I enjoyed watching this flimmakers (Simcha Jacobvici) weekly show called “The Naked Archaelogist”.
I understood he was a Jew and not a Christian. (I mean that religously not ethnically, he really believes in the Torah) And realized he wouldn't be supporting anything Christian. I was content with him supporting the Old Testament though. I didn't expect something like this.
He has very good programs on confirming the old testament accounts of Moses and the Patriarchs.
So it came as a bit of a shock to see this. Saddened me really. His show was the only tv show I watched faithfully.
March 4, 2007 at 11:35 pm#43681kenrchParticipantNot long ago they were saying that Jesus was married and had a child. That would mean that somewhere on earth a descendent of Jesus is walking around. Now they claim they found Jesus' tomb and bones along with Mary Jesus wife and His family in the same tomb.
My point:
What if a Pope claims to be the descendant of Jesus?
Just a thought
March 5, 2007 at 1:07 am#43692seekingtruthParticipantI watched a show once that Prince Charles believe he is decended from Jesus.
Quote The Resurrection
It is the central tenet of Christian faith that, some time around 30 BCE, Jesus of Nazareth rose from the dead three days after his crucifixion. The Resurrection is described in each of the four Gospels.“The Lost Tomb Of Jesus” does not challenge the Resurrection. It asks viewers to consider the possibility that the Resurrection occurred from a second tomb.
The writer of the Gospel of Matthew (28:12-15) addresses a rumor that was circulating in Jerusalem at the time of the Crucifixion, a rumor that we suggest can be taken for the truth. The rumor was that the disciples came by night to remove Jesus’ body from the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. They would have done this to safeguard his remains from desecrators.
His followers then would have taken the body of Jesus to a permanent tomb.
Even if Jesus were moved from one tomb to another, this does not negate the possibility that he was resurrected from the second tomb. Our documentary does not address this issue. Belief in the resurrection is based not on which tomb he was buried in, but on alleged sightings of Jesus that occurred after his burial and that are documented in the Gospels.
This is what they have posted on their web site
March 5, 2007 at 1:24 am#43700seekingtruthParticipantI'm not afraid of any legitimate evidence it will always end up supporting truth (even if it conflicts with my current belief). My concern is the twisting of partial truths for the sake of sensationalism and the promotion of a lie which destroys the faith of the immature.
March 31, 2007 at 11:14 pm#46948PhoenixParticipantHi MS
I forgot to mention that I saw a bit about this on Fox News a few weeks ago. Unfortunately i had missed the first half of it and only just caught the part where Kirk Cameron was interviewed in regards to the allegations. “They cant even figure out who the father is of Anna Nicoles baby” was the statement I heard him say lol. Made me laugh i know that. Not sure why he said that though. Anyway, just a piece of useless information that I thought Id jot down lol
Hugs
