    Hi Ed

    Quote
ὀπτάνομαι (optanomai): signifies an earnest but more continued inspection (θεωρέω)

    θεωρέω (theaomai):

    behold, consider, look on

From a derivative of theaomai (perhaps by addition of horao); to be a spectator of,
i.e. Discern, (literally, figuratively (experience) or intensively (acknowledge)) –
    – behold, consider, look on, perceive, see. Compare optanomai.

What is all this jargon?  Do I have to read back 20 posts to see what you are talking about?

    Quote
Not “see physically”, but to understand and experience “Spiritually”.

Oh is this what it means?

could you tell me what you mean by “”THE WORLD”””???

JN 14:19 “ After a little while the world will no longer see Me,
    but you will
see  Me; because I live, you will live also.

    Hi Pierre, Good post!

“See” clearly means “perceive” in John 14:19; do you agree Journey42?

    A progression away from sin:

1John illustrates a progression away from sin. Starting at 1John 1:8:
“If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves”…
    Sinners practice sin!

Progressing to 1John 3:9: “Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; For his seed
remainith in him: and he cannot sin (AS A USUAL PRACTICE), because he is borne of God.”
    Practice of sin diminishes!

    Finishing in 1John 5:18: “We know that whosoever is borne of God SINNETH NOT;
But he that is begotten of God keepeth (GUARDS) himself,
and that wicked one (Satan) toucheth him not.
All sinning STOPS; fulfilling Matt. 5:44! (Eph.4:13)

    1st John 3:7-10.

The person who practices righteousness is righteous, just as the Messiah is righteous. The person who practices sin belongs to the evil one, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason that the Son of God was revealed was to destroy what the devil has been doing. No one who has been BORN FROM GOD practices sin, because God’s seed abides in him. Indeed, he cannot go on sinning, because he has been BORN FROM GOD. This is how God’s children and the devil’s children are distinguished. No person who fails to practice righteousness and to love his brother is from God.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father
will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” (John 14:23)

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice:
and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come:
but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the
anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow:
but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.” (John 16:20-22)

“Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death,
till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.” (Matt 16:28)

“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him
shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Heb 9:28)

    God bless

Just put away all your fancy stuff.

To all the born again spirits.
NO ONE IS GOOD, BUT THE FATHER ONLY.

So stop walking around as if you are floating in the air,
and hide those wings in your pockets.

I can say it with confidence, because I believe what God says, and it clicked with me. Two of the same spirits in agreement.

    And he says:

Isaiah 32:9 Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech. ALL THE BORN AGAIN COMES OUT OF THESE DAUGHTERS.

Isaiah 32:10 Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come. ALL BORN AGAIN WILL BE TROUBLED. (ITS JUST GOD SPEAKING,WHAT DOES HE KNOW).

NOW IF THE SPIRIT IN YOU IS NOT THE SAME WITH THE SPIRIT OF THESE WORDS. IT WILL MEAN NOTHING TO YOU. THEY ARE JUST WORDS OF NO MEANING.

    Hi Georgie,

These Scriptures (John 14:23, John 16:20-22, Matt 16:28, Heb 9:28) indicate that Jesus returned (in spirit form)
on “Pentecost”. Since you say otherwise, please let me hear your 'spin' as to what you believe they mean; OK?

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father
will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” (John 14:23)

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice:

No thanks. I'm not jumping on the band wagon. I might look like a brown nose!

I just had a little read over there, and you are getting all upset. This is close to your heart Ed, and we know that. If you really believe what you say then speak and answer with confidence like you always do. Don't get offended, it's a debate. We have to test all things to see if they stand or fall as you are introducing something different here.
