Not to atone for mans sins, no.
As a personal experience, on our behalf, yes.
As a requirement for becoming sovereign Lord of his own co-created world, yes
Colter. Then what was the sacrifice for?
wakeup.
There was no sacrifice, God was already forgiving. The Pagans added their interpretation to their remixed religion about Jesus the Christ, “Christianity.”Jesus said the cross was to prove his authority to teach:
18 The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”
19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

The answer to your question is that I believe the words of Jesus in the bible to the extent that they were accurately preserved. Matthew 26 seems to be mis-remembered, influenced by Paul's Pagan baggage.
Paul's domineering preaching had already begun to influence Christian theology BEFORE the writing and subsequent editing of the gospels.
Jesus had never connected sacrifice with forgiveness in his gospel, to the contrary, Jesus lead men away from the sacrificial system into real spiritual salvation and transformation. God was already forgiving, he always has been, it was primitive man that concocted all sorts of “eye for an eye” systems of approach.
Having the actuall records from the life of Jesus we can now listen to what he said, it makes much more sence based on his three years of teaching.
(1941.6) 179:5.1 As they brought Jesus the third cup of wine, the “cup of blessing,” he arose from the couch and, taking the cup in his hands, blessed it, saying: “Take this cup, all of you, and drink of it. This shall be the cup of my remembrance. This is the cup of the blessing of a new dispensation of grace and truth. This shall be to you the emblem of the bestowal and ministry of the divine Spirit of Truth. And I will not again drink this cup with you until I drink in new form with you in the Father’s eternal kingdom.”
(1942.2) 179:5.3 When they had finished drinking this new cup of remembrance, the Master took up the bread and, after giving thanks, broke it in pieces and, directing them to pass it around, said: “Take this bread of remembrance and eat it. I have told you that I am the bread of life. And this bread of life is the united life of the Father and the Son in one gift. The word of the Father, as revealed in the Son, is indeed the bread of life.” When they had partaken of the bread of remembrance, the symbol of the living word of truth incarnated in the likeness of mortal flesh, they all sat down.

Dont you know that God taught them the levitical laws?
And how to perform animal sacrifices?
Well; all those animal sacrifices has been replaced with one
sacrifice for all; and that sacrifice is Gods only begotten Son.There is no need for anymore sacrifices;all is done away with.
Gods Son has fulfilled all.Why would God need sacrifices?
To show him respect and dedication, and honour.
To obey him in all things.
God does not need animals; but its the obedience he wants.
Teaching us to be obedient. And his Son was very obedient, unto his death.
Let us learn from this, and let us follow his trend. You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, with all you soul, and with all your strength.
wakeup.

Hi Colter,1) Coulda fooled me.
“all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.” (Luke 18:31-33)2) Do you consider Jesus dying for the remission of sins – an atoning sacrifice?

The NT is the Pauline recollection of the story of Jesus having become a religion adopted and cooped by the Pagan world who already believed in deity sacrifice.Jesus died for the experience of dyeing and so that Michael could resurrect a likeness of himself to prove his authority. The cross was the ultimate marketing for the kingdom.

Because your foundation is false, God is changeless, he has always been forgiving. The crass injustice of requiring his blameless Son to die in the place of you taking responsibility for your own separation from God was not “the good news” of the gospel, that Pagan idea is the news of evolved Christianity. It doesn't occur to self centered man that perhaps The Son accomplished something for himself, in his own right, in the service of man; victory in death, an inspiring example for all the inhabited worlds.

So you're saying he died for himself rather than for us?June 6, 2013 at 10:12 am#354736SpockParticipantQuote So you're saying he died for himself rather than for us? Christ Michael lived and died for us, as a result” all power and authority in heaven and on earth was given to him.” He is now sovereign Lord of his own co-creation.
Christianity tends to overlook his valiant, inspiring life and focus on the Pagans interpretation of his death.
Christ Michael had incarnate 6 other times within diverse celestial orders of his creation. The final requirement of the Father is for the creator Son to incarnate as a babe of the realm, and live the human life subject to the will of the Father.
Jesus said his last words as a mortal in the flesh just before breathing his last breath, they were “it is finished”, that is, his entire career of 7 different incarnations.
Only on a backward, fallen, primitive word would the savage mind interpret killing Gods innocent Son as requirement for a cold hearted God to forgive.
“Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.”
Among the other 10,000,000 inhabited worlds of Michael's creation, Urantia has become known as “the world of the cross” for the unconscionable treatment of the incarnate Son and his willingness to endure if for the Love of his children.

Because God did lay down his human investiture to experience what man is called to experience.Jesus faced death, he now has that as part of his experience as his children pass through the same.
The ransom quote is an outrage, why won't you address that?
Christians unwittingly require the betrayal of Jesus, the trumped up trial, the torturous death because you are unwilling to get off your fat ass and face your own sin!
Your lazy scapegoating leaves the blood of Jesus on your hands. This contorted theology has Jesus saying in effect “trust me, love me, betray me, kill me, so my Father can now forgive you.”
The forgiveness of sin is real, a real change of heart is required, our merciful Father forgave before we ever thought to ask. Human sacrifice is theoretical.

No, that theory comes from the Paganized version of the gospel that you were born into, a religion ABOUT Jesus, Christianity. In the religion [/B]OF Jesus “the gospel of the kingdom of heaven”, salvation and forgiveness was by faith, it always has been.
Forgiveness and salvation in the religion OF Jesus was not tied to human sacrifice while in the Roman Mysteries it was.
Bible fragmnet:
44 Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

The 7 mansion worlds are in effect rehabilitation worlds, ascenders therin pick up where we left off in spiritual growth on the world of our origen. We pass through all 7 of the satalite worlds before going to transition world number one. After that there are many many others as we progress towards paradice if we desire.Christ Michaels headquaters is on Salvington.
(367.7) 33:2.5 Although Michael’s headquarters is officially located on Salvington, the capital of Nebadon, he spends much of his time visiting the constellation and system headquarters and even the individual planets. Periodically he journeys to Paradise and often to Uversa, where he counsels with the Ancients of Days. When he is away from Salvington, his place is assumed by Gabriel, who then functions as regent of the universe of Nebadon.
