    Quote (Nick Hassan @ June 13 2008,08:56)
    For shania.
The new earth will have no seas.
? the same as before the flood?

Hi Nick, what are going to say? Was the earth without sea(s) before the flood?

    Hi Gm,
    No I was wrong
    gen 1
9And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

There was no rain but only dew.
    Gen2
6But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. …..

    Genesis 2:5
And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

6But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

The fountains of the deep are interesting
    Genesis 7:11
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
    Genesis 8:2
    The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

    What were they?

Hi Nick, the answer may be found in Gene 1:6-10 where God separates waters into two compartments Sky (heaven) and earth. Certainly we have to infer that there are two compartments of waters one above the sky and the other below the earth as it is mentioned in Gen 7:11 and 8:2.
Hope this will answer your query.

    PSALM 104:5
“He has founded the earth upon its established places; It will not be made to totter to time indefinite, or forever.”

    ECCLESIASTES 1:4
“A generation is going, and a generation is coming; but the earth is standing even to time indefinite.”

    PSALM 78:69
“And he began to build his sanctuary just like the heights, Like the earth that he has founded to time indefinite.”

    PSALM 119:90
“Your faithfulness is for generation after generation. You have solidly fixed the earth, that it may keep standing.”

    PSALM 96:10
“Say among the nations: “Jehovah himself has become king. The productive land also becomes firmly established so that it cannot be made to totter. He will plead the cause of the peoples in uprightness.””

It seems the literal earth was created to remain forever.

If you created a building and rented it out and then some bad tenents were making things bad for the good occupants, would you burn the building down?
Or would you remove the wicked people?

    PROVERBS 2:21-22
“For the upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it.”
