Hi ACC,
Still there.
God has dwelled on earth before -with the Israelites.
Exodus 25:8
And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

Just as God was still in heaven
when He was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself[2Cor5]

February 6, 2008 at 1:00 am#80825davidParticipant“heaven” doesn't come down. “heavenly Jerusalem” does.
Heavenly Jerusalem is essentially Gods heavenly kingdom.
HEBREWS 11:10
“For he was awaiting the city having real foundations, the builder and maker of which [city] is God.”HEBREWS 12:22,28
“But YOU have approached a Mount Zion and a city of [the] living God, heavenly Jerusalem, and myriads of angels, . . . .Wherefore, seeing that we are to receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us continue to have undeserved kindness, through which we may acceptably render God sacred service with godly fear and awe.”Also known as the bride the lamb's wife.
Rev 21:9-11
'Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.’ So he carried me away in the power of the spirit to a great and lofty mountain, and he showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven…”This bride, is not heaven. It is heavenly jersusalem.
REVELATION 19:7
“Let us rejoice and be overjoyed, and let us give him the glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has arrived and his wife has prepared herself.”REVELATION 21:2
“I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”Other apostolic writings apply the same figure (the bride) to the Christian congregation of anointed ones. (2Co 11:2; Eph 5:21-32)
These are the ones that make up the kingdom. Jesus made a covenant with his followers for a heavenly kingdom, a government that they would rule with him, as co-heirs.

You say
“These are the ones that make up the kingdom. Jesus made a covenant with his followers for a heavenly kingdom, a government that they would rule with him, as co-heirs. “
Yes.

What does that even mean?
Which part of this is wrong:
“These are the ones that make up the kingdom. Jesus made a covenant with his followers for a heavenly kingdom, a government that they would rule with him, as co-heirs. “February 6, 2008 at 4:17 am#80834NickHassanParticipantHi david,

Is 11 describes delightful aspects of the rule of Christ on earth.1And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
6The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
9They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
February 9, 2008 at 8:59 pm#81023942767ParticipantThe following was copied from JFB Commentary:
Quote Revelation 13:1. As the physical corresponds to the spiritual and moral world, so the absence of sea, after the metamorphosis of the earth by fire, answers to the unruffled state of solid peace which shall then prevail. The sea, though severing lands from one another, is now, by God's eliciting of good from evil, made the medium of communication between countries through navigation. Then man shall possess inherent powers which shall make the sea no longer necessary, but an element which would detract from a perfect state. A “river” and “water” are spoken of in Revelation 22:1,2, probably literal (that is, with such changes of the natural properties of water, as correspond analogically to man's own transfigured body), as well as symbolical. The sea was once the element of the world's destruction, and is still the source of death to thousands, whence after the millennium, at the general judgment, it is specially said, “The sea gave up the dead . . . in it.” Then it shall cease to destroy, or disturb, being removed altogether on account of its past destructions. This is the millinium reign of Christ. After that will come the destruction of this earth when it will burn up all the wicked along with Satan and all the demons and Antichrist.
2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth which now exist are kept in store by the same Word, reserved for fire until the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men.

Nick According to 2Peter 4:7 the earth is kept in store, reserved for fire until the day of judgement. It goes along with what it says in Rev. being the Lake of fire. Peter just puts it differently, but that is what it means. The second death and all will be destroyed. I don't think that a merciful God is going to let hellfire burn forever. Just what I belief.Peasce and Love Mrs.

Visions of the endtimes when the sea is dried up.
Nahum 1
2God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.3The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
4He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
5The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
6Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
Hab3
3God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.4And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
5Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
6He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.
7I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.
8Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?
9Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.
10The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.
11The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.
12Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
13Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.
14Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.
15Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters.
16When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

““But the wicked are like the sea that is being tossed, when it is unable to calm down, the waters of which keep tossing up seaweed and mire.”DANIEL 7:2
“Daniel was speaking up and saying: “I happened to be beholding in my visions during the night, and, see there! the four winds of the heavens were stirring up the vast sea.”HABAKKUK 1:14
“And [why] do you make earthling man like the fishes of the sea, like creeping things over whom no one is ruling?”REV 17:1
“Come, I will show you the judgment upon the great harlot [BABYLON THE GREAT] who sits on many WATERS,REVELATION 17:15
“And he says to me: “The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues.”DONE! In the book of revelation, the highly symbolic book, False Religion (babylon the great, the harlot) sits on many waters, which “mean peoples.” And we are told in Revelation that the “sea will be no more.”
Of course, we're also told that false religion will be no more. The people that support false religion (the sea of wicked people alienated from God) will be no more.REVELATION 21:1
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more.”February 10, 2008 at 11:59 pm#81126NickHassanParticipantHi david,
