Hi PierreYes Pierre, but it's the spirit of the antichrist that has gone into these churches. The followers need to be careful what spirit they listen to. If they read and study for themselves, then they can let the holy spirit teach them, being equipped to discern.
What do you think about the verses I quoted from 1John 4:1-3. Do you understand the meaning here? It's talking about the spirit, not the people.
J421Jn 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
1Jn 4:2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
1Jn 4:3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
1Jn 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
1Jn 4:5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.
1Jn 4:6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.Jas 1:6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
Jas 1:14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Jas 1:16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers.I have added some scriptures to make it clear that it is us in our mind and heart that either developed corruption or truth of God,Devil or God will enhance each their own SO IT IS US THAT HAVE TO BELIEVE IN THE SON OF GOD ,
there are only two ways in the universe “the devil OR Gods way;the grace of God is for us to chose but if we take it we can not have doubts about it
what is sin ,sin is thinking and believing things and doing things that are not permitted to do ,by a righteous person devoted in faith to God,
so the spirit of the Antichrist is a way of thinking that is taking us away from God righteousness and protection through his teachings of his words the scriptures,
so the spirit is in deed tied in with all of us in this world
Hi PierreThat is fine, that you added some more scriptures to support, because this is how we seek by comparing scriptures with scriptures.
Nick, please don't turn this into an argument. You are missing exactly what God is revealing here, and I just want to point out…because that is what this thread is about.
First of all the KJV words it exactly how God wanted it to be translated for us, for this original version is how the word of the Lord was delivered to us gentiles. I think there is power in those exact words given us.
1John 4:1 Beloved believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.God has a certain lingo. A way of explaining things. The deep meanings are contained in the exact structure of his sentences, the exact way he intended us to read it.
This NIV looses the power in those words. Can you see it?
NIV
1Jn 4:3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. This is not what the original version says. The original KJV says that
“And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:”See how the meaning gets lost in the newer translation, watered down with words twisted. Ever so subtle.
The point of this thread is to show that there is a spirit out there not from God who teaches that Christ did not come in the flesh. Every christian knows that Christ came in the flesh, but this spirit has somehow tricked many people (christians) into believing it was actually God who came in the flesh.
This spirit of antichrist is against Christ. What is the best way to attack a follower? Go into the church and twist the truth subtly. Make a new doctrine, mainly the same, but slightly different, and re-write the bible so that the false doctrine doesn't become obvious, and wolla, you've got all these people feeding on a different flesh.

April 6, 2012 at 12:43 am#290184NickHassanParticipantHi J42,
Yes scripture has a strange lingo.
Because Jesus is utterly wedded to the Word then what is said about the Word historically is now said about Jesus Christ and even Jesus.Jesus of Nazareth is flesh.
Yet because he is now the Christ, the Word, it can be said that JESUS CHRIST HAS COME IN THE FLESH.The same applies to Phil 2.
Scripture carefully avoids speaking of the flesh man knowing carnal men cannot get past the flesh. It causes many to stumble.

Nis that what Paul wanted to say
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Col 1:16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
Col 1:17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

Hi Georgie, the many of man's corrupted bible versions will certainly get in one's way of understanding “Bible Truth”! (Link)Psalm 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silv
er tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them (in the AKJV Bible) from this generation for ever.
Isaiah 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue(that is English) will he speak to this people.1Cor.14:27 (AKJV) If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two(Hebrew, Aramaic),
or at the most by three(Greek), and that by course; [and let one (“AKJV Bible”) translate].“The Bible” we have today was no accident, it is exactly the way YHVH wanted it!

Hi PierreYou have quoted the KJV.
It means exactly what it says, and nothing else.
It doesn't mention here that Christ came down from heaven,
it says every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God. (does not belong to God)God has angels, ministering spirits right? They are there in the background, we can't see them, but they are busy doing the Lords work. Go here, go there, guide, protect, rebuke etc ..whatever the Lord commands them. They are for the truth..I suppose they all have their own jobs to do.
This other spirit that went out into the world. A spirit of satan, has his own job to do as well. And that is to corrupt the truth. This is the spirit of antichrist, the same spirit. Whether this spirit is Satan or one of his angels, makes no difference, it is Satans will being performed.
The trinitarians believe the spirit which teaches that Christ is God the Father, one and the same. Therefore they believe that it was not Christ that came in the flesh but God the Father.

Scripture tells us Christ means MESSIAH.So the antichrist spirit denies that Jesus is the promised messiah and would have us wait for another.
This is the spirit of the scribes and pharisees who denied that Jesus was who he claimed to be, the Christ and the Son of God.The Jewish religion lost its value and became the false religion of the antichrist when John the baptist offered all forgiveness through water baptism.

And so far, not one person can see the connection of the scriptures I quoted on page 1 or even wants to try and analyse what the Word is actually saying regarding this different type of Antichrist Spirit, so subtle.1John 4:1 …..because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1John 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hearth them.
False prophets start new beliefs, new teachings, new churches. And when the prophets are dead and gone, their teachings carry on, and many believe it as truth.. Test the spirit thats teaching.
j42ANTICHRIST ,persons, are actually people well versed in scriptures but have turned away from the truth of God and so his purpose ,
and by following ,and listen to them you are cutting the grace of Gods promise.
it is a miss use of Gods word, but fulfill the will of the devil
Make a new doctrine, mainly the same, but slightly different, and re-write the bible so that the false doctrine doesn't become obvious, and wolla, you've got all these people fee
ding on a different flesh.
J421John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
would this verse not say that Christ came down from heaven and became flesh
J421Jn 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
1Jn 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)does it not say;; WITCH WAS WITH THE FATHER ,AND WAS MANIFESTED UNTO US,?
