Do you believe this God has spoken to men?
Audibly? No.
Not to Moses? Not to Abraham?
It is written, but not proven. Has G-d spoken audibly to you?
Yes, He has!!!!
Also, I believe that you would be in trouble with the Jews if you did not believe that God spoke to Moses. The scripture states that he spoke to Moses face to face.
What Jews? Depends on which ones you speak with. Some would agree with much of what I say.December 24, 2007 at 5:17 am#75992TowshabParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Dec. 23 2007,23:09) Hi Tow,
But you heard about Moses through the bible.
If so and you believed it why do you not believe God worked miracles through him?
You cannot pick and choose from the sacred works-all or nothing.
Yes, you are right. All or nothing. Since you have never raised someone from the dead, healed anyone, fed multitudes with very little food, walked on water, calmed a storm, then according to your Jesus and 100% correct bible, I say you are not a Christian.December 24, 2007 at 5:21 am#75994NickHassanParticipantHi tow,
You do not even accept the miracles of your own prophets
or even accept God can do them
so who are you to judge us?December 24, 2007 at 5:28 am#75996TowshabParticipantNick,
You are a broken record. You often repeat the same arguments and never offer any substance to back them. Just your own words and die-hard desire to get the last word in. I can play your game as long as you can.
December 24, 2007 at 5:36 am#75997NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
What have you to offer people of faith?December 24, 2007 at 6:12 am#76005TowshabParticipantDepends what you have faith in. If it is Jesus, I can offer deliverance from fallacy.
December 24, 2007 at 6:16 am#76007NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
You have rather a litany of what you do not believe.
It erodes your credibility.December 24, 2007 at 6:18 am#76008TowshabParticipantAnd your tendency to be repetitive and twist words erodes yours. Are we playing a new game now?
December 24, 2007 at 8:26 am#76010NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
We can stand on the rock of the teachings of God.
You do not yet even believe them.
You need more than your opinion to carry any weight.December 24, 2007 at 1:12 pm#76012TowshabParticipantBut sadly Nick, 99% of your posts that I have read have no teachings of G-d in them, but your opinion. Yet you accuse others of opinion while you obviously think you have all truth. Well tell all of the others who have all truth to move over so you can jump in their boat. The resulting conversation would be like a field full of mockingbirds.
December 24, 2007 at 5:25 pm#76021NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
The way is narrow and few choose it.John the prophet of God came to lead us to the Christ.
Christ will come again as judge and who will stand except those who have obeyed the simple demands of salvation.
Mal3
“See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the LORD Almighty.2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap. 3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, 4 and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the LORD, as in days gone by, as in former years.
5 “So I will come near to you for judgment. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive aliens of justice, but do not fear me,” says the LORD Almighty.
December 24, 2007 at 5:42 pm#76024TowshabParticipantIf John was a prophet, what prophecies did he give? Surely it was not that Jesus was coming because an angel supposedly told that before Jesus was born. Plus, since they were cousins, why did John act like he had never met Jesus until his baptism?
In order to be a prophet, one must prophecy. What were John's prophecies?
December 24, 2007 at 6:03 pm#76028NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
When the spiritual eyes of John saw his cousin he recognised the One anointed as the Christ.
He predicted the fate of those who would not receive him.
Jn3
26And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.27John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
28Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30He must increase, but I must decrease.
31He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
34For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
December 24, 2007 at 6:19 pm#76029TowshabParticipantBut that passage still did not show how John was a prophet. Plus, since an angel already supposedly told Mary and Joseph who Jesus was, why did no one else know? Seems they supposedly knew when many beheld the child (shepherds, wise men, Simeon). What happened in Jesus' early years that they all seemed to forget who he was?
Hmm, might explain why he needed John's baptism of repentance.
December 24, 2007 at 8:15 pm#76032NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
So Mary and Joseph knew but did not tell the world.
The prophecies of John will find their fulfillment in the judgement when those who did not respond to the Son meet the wrath of God.

Hi Tow,
Since you do not accept the OT.
And you do not accept the power of God.
And you reject the saviour Christ sent by God
do you really expect us to prove anything to you?
