yes that is what he is saying.

The Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of the Father, and the spirit of the Son which is the Word of God which was spoken to humanity by the Father through him, and that he obeyed unto death on the cross. It is that which is written in red in your bible.

    Love in Christ,

    Hi 94,
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father, the Spirit of truth.
But now Jesus is also in the same Spirit.
Now the Lord is the Spirit.

    WE shall come to you

    Hi T,
    Really?
    Well do it again.
    .2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Jesus stated that he (his spirit, the Word of God spoken to humanity,) and the Father was in him, by His Spirit.

And so, the Word of God spoken to humanity, came from God, and so yes, it is in His Spirit.

But elsewhere, he said that his Father was greater than he, He is not God but “he is the express image of his person.

    Quote
    2Jo 1:9
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son

    Bothmeans two persons.

No, and that is not what I said. Are the Father and the Son two distinct persons or not?

The Son obeyed the Word of God, did he not.

    Quote
    Jhn 17:8
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

    Jhn 17:16
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

    Jhn 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

    Jhn 17:18
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

    Jhn 17:19
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

    Hi 94,
The use of words like PERSON has led theologians into all kinds of confusion.
Better to just use the words of scripture.

We can fellowship with both in the Spirit[1jn1, 2jn9]

I am not a theologian, but I have scripture which states:

    Quote
    Heb 1:3
    Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

    Quote
    1Jo 1:3
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

    Hi 94,
Is that only reference to God as a person out of hundreds speaking of men?
    You need more witnesses[2cor 13.1]

None speak of the SPIRIT as a person

    Hi Nick,

God's HolySpirit and “the spirit of Christ” come to believers as a package deal.

    Hi ED,
    Yes.
Though Jesus suggests that he comes first and then sends the Spirit of truth from the father.

    Hi ED,
Jesus also said he could not send his Spirit till he had ascended but Peter seems to have jumped the gun.

He said “thou art the Christ , the son of the Living God”

and that seems to have come from the Spirit of truth.

    Hi ED,
    Mt 16
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

    Hi Nick:

How then is Jesus “the express image of His person”, and how does Jesus state “he who has seen me has seen the Father”?

    Also, in Genesis:

God states “let us make man in our image”, in the image of God created he them, male and female created he them.

    Quote
    Gen 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
