Satan has sent his babies who out right attack your spirit with prone trash.
t8 this is an annoyance is there no way to block such trash!
August 17, 2007 at 3:50 am#64216ProclaimerParticipantThere is no absolute way.
It takes mainly human intervention and that is what moderators are for.
Nick isn't here, so there is less intervention. But have increased moderators now for this purpose.
November 18, 2007 at 8:19 am#72178IM4TruthParticipantt8 I have to say something about Stu, I would like for you to read his post on the Scripture&Bib. Doctrine under Hebrew. It just made me sick. Tow is not getting any better either. But Stu, it is disgusting to be on a Christian Website and have to read something like that. Please for God sake do something about that.

I assume you are referring to my reference to particular body parts. I would like you to note that I was responding to someone who already had done so. I mean to give no offense, but I can't see how else I could have made the points I wanted to make.Stuart

In what way do I violate board rules?November 18, 2007 at 1:28 pm#72186TowshabParticipantIf this board wants to protects its users from those outside of Christianity the mods need to add stipulations that only Christians are allowed. I've been on some boards where not only where Christians only allowed but you had to believe that Jesus was G-d too. Of course that was some time back but you can set up all sorts of rules if you desire to protect your beliefs.

The discussion had been on homosexuality for nearly a whole page before I first posted in it.I'll keep my body parts to myself, MrsIMForT!

So you're saying that there are places to go if people want discussion from a christian perspective alone, but the mods here have chosen not to go the Boy Scout route and require belief in a higher power, and hence the discussion is more robust and therefore far more interesting, and even useful for the devout?Stuart

Yes they are quite open here! Its just the users that are running scared.November 18, 2007 at 10:41 pm#72220davidParticipantTowshab, I was wondering what you think of the Gen 3:15 prophecy, not believing that Satan is an actual distinct person.
Who was this prophecy addressed to?
After the incident in the garden, God stated this prophecy which runs through the Bible, from front to finish.
GENESIS 3:15
“And I shall put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel.””I (believing in Satan) believe that he wasn't actually talking to the serpent but to Satan and that Satan and God's wifelike heavenly organization (the woman) will have enmity. Their seeds would have enmity. The Messiah (the primary seed of the woman) would bruise Satan in the head (a death blow) and Satan would bruise the Messiah in the heal (his death on the stake)
How do you understand this prophecy?
November 18, 2007 at 10:59 pm#72226Not3in1ParticipantTow and Stu,
Are you both done beating your chests?
Listen, I think it's pretty funny that you both (especially Stu) are even here, on a Christian site. I mean, you must be so totally bored with your life that you have nothing else to do? I see why Tow is here – he is trying to “save us” from our pagen/idol worshipping ways. Stu has already said he is on no such mission. I guess he's here because he loves to hear about God. Maybe it's from guilt because he has walked away from God at some point in his life to pursue a homosexual lifestyle, and somehow it brings him comfort to be here? Who knows?
But you both are fooling yourselves if hearing that God is a “Nasty” friend in the sky edifies anyone or makes anything “robust”! That is truly laughable. No, wait – that we are “running scared” is more laughable yet. Get real, dudes.
I'm tired of your garbage. And as you can see, those who have engaged you both are getting tired as well. It's only a matter of time until you are talking to yourselves, or out of here all together.
Those who live by faith will stand by faith. Don't puff up with pride too much to think you have shed any light on the universe and how God runs it. Those who have the Spirit are taught by the Spirit. Even if the written word is flawed…….THE LIVING WORD IS NOT FLAWED. Amen.

Gen 3:15 is a prophecy in that the serpent (snake) crawls on the ground and man walks upright. A man can step on a snake's head but a snake can bite a man's heel. How much more simple can you get?November 19, 2007 at 5:20 am#72246davidParticipantQuote Gen 3:15 is a prophecy in that the serpent (snake) crawls on the ground and man walks upright. Do you not think someone was behind the talking serpant?

I think Eve really wanted that fruit and the serpent was an allegory of the inner struggle we all face when tempted.Do you know of too many people that love snakes? They are perhaps one of the most feared creatures on earth. There's your emnity.
November 19, 2007 at 6:22 am#72269Not3in1ParticipantTow,
Are you saying the serpant wasn't really a serpant at all but a “allegory” for something else? What is so different between this logic and what I was trying to say regarding the handling of snakes? Man, you can't have it your way all the time. Let's show some consistency here.November 19, 2007 at 6:31 am#72275davidParticipantQuote I think Eve really wanted that fruit and the serpent was an allegory So God was talking to an allegory, telling an allagory that it would have enmity with “the woman.”
Then you give a completely different answer:
GENESIS 3:15
“And I shall put enmity between you [an “allegory for the inner struggle we all face”] and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel.””Please explain.

Is the enmity between literal snakes and Eve?
Or is it between an allegory of something and “the woman”?Please explain

Well its good that you think it is allegorical because the verse that immediately precedes this isMar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
I guess then this is merely allegorical too. Makes you wonder if anything is literal.

When you see a snake do you see 'satan'? Do you think that snakes are demon possessed?

I think it was a rather convenient story. After all, snakes are presently loathed for the most part. If it was 'satan' speaking through the snake why would g-d make the poor snake suffer? Please.November 20, 2007 at 3:05 am#72352TowshabParticipantDarn but this board does weird stuff if you don't preview posts.
