May you all give your views on this;
Can Christians receive a reprobate mind ?Cause of : Not having Christ….. 2 CORTH 13:3-5
Rejecting the faith….. 2 TIM 3:8
Spiritual barrenness….. HEB: 6:7,8 —ISA .5:6 to be counted as briers and thorns to be consumed
Lack of Discipline…… 1 CORTH. 9:24,27…
Rejected by the LORD…… JER. 6:30 , note Chapter 7 calls for repentance and the Lord shall restoreSeptember 17, 2007 at 7:01 pm#66212AnonymousGuestI have found that our English language is overall very weak..in other words we must examine the definition of “reprobate”
Reprobate is a combination of two Latin words
Re: opposite of, reversal of a previous condition
probare: prove to be worthy ( where we get our word probate = submit a will you must prove you are worthy). It also means to refuse to accept
to condemn strongly as unworthy unacceptable or evil.So the question is can a Christian have a reprobate mind? the answer is a solid NO! How can you be a Christian and refuse to accept…when we call ourselves Christian we put on the cloak of Christ
I refer to Romans 1: here is the entire discourse on how man can fall How he worships the Creation rather than the Creation and refuses to accept leading to Rom 1: 28 ” and God gave them up to a “reprobate mind”

Welcome, I know what you mean about the English Language , it has a lot of Latin in it, I was told when I first came to America and went to School to learn this Language. I am glad we have the spelling check, I have always had problems with spelling. I was almost 16 when we came here, I did not speak any English at all. It was very hard at first.I do agree that some men will worship the creation rather then our Creator. I think you are talking about how some will only worship Jesus now, correct? Jesus does however is to be worshipped as our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, but some in today's churches are forgetting the Father all together.
Peace and Love Mrs.

Do you have a Bible in German? I used to have one somewhere — very, very old — but do not know where it is now. Not that I could read it but my heritage is German on my dad's side.
The reason I ask is that I wonder how verses translated into German might affect their meaning…
September 17, 2007 at 11:05 pm#66244IM4TruthParticipantkeyonn Yes we do have a German Bible, but I very seldom us it. I like the King James version the best.
My Husband has used it more then I have just to compare. Even tho I have problems spelling,
I have mastered English fairly well. Our children and grandchildren do not speak German at all.
When they were little I had a girlfriend who's children only spoke German and when they
started School they had all kinds of problems learning. So we made up our minds to only speak
English with them.
Keyonn America is our Home now, we are American Citizen and proud of it. We have been here
for over 50 years.
But one cant forget were one is born. I have gone on the Web and looked at some pictures
from Germany, and that always gives one a feeling of sorrow, kind of. We have been back to
Germany several times for a visit, tho. God has blessed us so much that we were able to do so.I better stop rattling. Bless you Keyonn for asking.
Peace and Love Mrs.
