It would be nice if you come in and join in the prophesies, so all can learn.
This would be not a contest. but seeking the truth of the matter.

From what I have seen on this forum, all of you just want to promote you own beliefs and are not interested in listening to anyone else’s.

Seek the truth? Be a nice change!

But I don’t mean to be rude and am quite happy to discuss genuine issues.

    Hi camellia.

You want to know about isreal? Go to prophesies, old and new.
You can always join in our dicsussions re’ prophesies, and ask questions, and compere prophesies with prophesies.
Without saying it is my opinion, or I am biased before checking it out.
You can not just listen to your own voice, and consider the scriptures as of no use.
The scriptures are there to seek.

Isaiah 33:6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure. (I have noticed of no fear of the Lord, because of many scriptures ignored).
I and t8 will start discussing prophesies soon, hope you will join.

    OK thanks.

(I have noticed of no fear of the Lord, because of many scriptures ignored).

Mhm. Look whos talking! But thanks anyway, Wakeup.

I find it absolutely remarkable how many people on forums believe in a literal one thousand years. I give up. Well no, I don’t give up. Explain to me please somehow how on earth you will know it is Jesus come back if you believe Jesus will sit on a literal throne in the earthy Jerusalem?

    Does nobody understand this verse:

If anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him. “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. “Behold, I have told you in advance. “So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. “For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28“Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

Well, don’t say nobody warned you.

Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

    Camellia.

Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the THRONES were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

Zechariah 6:13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

Ezekiel 21:25 And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel,[/Color] whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,

Ezekiel 21:26 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the DIADEM, and take off the CROWN: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.

Ezekiel 21:27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until HE come whose right it is; and I will give it him.

Zechariah 14:6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:

Zechariah 14:7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

Zechariah 14:8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

Zechariah 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD,
    and his name one.

Well, Camilla, I believe that Jesus will reign on earth for a literal 1000 years. And I believe it because the Bible says so: Revelation 20:6

    Wakeup and all, listen up.

    Read closely.

Zechariah 14:6 In that day there will be no light; the luminaries will dwindle. For it will be a unique day which is known to the Lord, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will be light.

This is not speaking about a literal day and night with no darkness. This is speaking about Jesus who is the light:

John 8:12 “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

John 12:46 “I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.”

1 John 1:6 “If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.”

Zechariah 14:8 And in that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.

Again, this is not speaking about literal water flowing out from a literal Jerusalem.  It is speaking about Jesus. Read:

John 7:38 “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive.”

John 4:14 “Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

    Do you see that?

Zechariah 14:9 And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one.

This is fulfilled for those who know God, and it IS worldwide.

Do you deny Jesus is King?

Keras. How will you know it is really Jesus who comes and sits on a throne in earthly Jerusalem when Jesus told us ‘not to go out, not to believe it’?

Do you believe there will be a false return of Jesus, a false messiah?

    To whomever is concerned,

    a correction:

Prophecy does not occupy 95% of the bible as anyone who reads Scripture should be aware.

    gracethrufaith.com

    A. According to “The Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophecy” by J. Barton Payne, there are 1,239 prophecies in the Old Testament and 578 prophecies in the New Testament for a total of 1,817. These prophecies are contained in 8,352 of the Bible’s verses. Since there are 31,124 verses in the Bible, the 8,352 verses that contain prophecy constitute 26.8 percent of the Bible’s volume.

    To whomever is concerned,

The most important part of Scripture is the gospel of salvation. If you have that teaching wrong then no matter what else you got right you are an unbeliever as you cannot believe what you do not understand. If you try to jump ahead to those things that are less important before getting the gospel right then you are not seeking God’s righteousness and his kingdom.

    Hi Kerwin,
Yes, you are right, eternal life is knowing Jesus, and the Father.

However, I think prophecy is a very important thing because scripture says the witness of Jesus is the spirit of PROPHECY. Also, Jesus said to know the time we are in. “Be on the ALERT, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. “But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. “For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.” (Matthew 24)

This is the time that is coming:

3 Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” 5 For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, 6 through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. 7 But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, 15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.(2 Peter 3)

So, the world which was once destroyed with water, will again be destroyed by fire. The Lord has been waiting the past 2000 years hoping that all will come to repentance. But, that day will come like a thief, and the heavens will pass away and the earth, and all that is on it except for the chosen. Peter states that they wait for a new heavens and a new earth (no mention of a temporary millennium on this present earth). Be careful of those who say something else.

I agree; One thousand years = one thousand years, not 2014 years plus…..what? 20..30..40…50…?
They change scripture to suit their flawed doctrine.
Christ is going to rule for 1000yrs in His kingdom with His saints.(a season and time).
His throne in Jerusalem the city of peace.
What is written in scripture seems not to mean anything to them. Just stamp it with the feet
Just hooked on false doctrine given.

PR 15:12 A scoffer does not love one who reproves him,
He will not go to the wise.

1JN 3:10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

    Hi Wakeup,
So then, if the one thousand years is to be taken literally, do we also take literally the chain used to bind Satan [a spirit] up? Is Jesus a literal wooden door and a literal lamb? There is a literal woman attacked by a red dragon, and a literal beast rises up from the sea?

Oh, so none of that is literal, but the one thousand yeas has to be exactly one thousand years.

Match scripture with scripture. Listen to Jesus, Peter and Paul – they told us EXACTLY what would happen, yet you refuse to hear them, because you have to fit your understanding, instead, into an allegory and symbolic book – Revelations.
No WONDER the early church said not to allow everyday people to attempt to understand such an allegory and symbolic book as Revelations, because they said all kinds of diverse doctrines would come out of that. Well, they were right.

    Author Frank Schaeffer writes:
“This weird book was the last to be included in the New Testament. It was included as canonical only relatively late in the process after a heated dispute. The historic Churches East and West remain so suspicious of Revelation that to this day it has never been included as part of the cyclical public readings of scripture in Orthodox services. The book of Revelation is read in Roman and Anglican Churches only during Advent. But both Rome and the East were highly suspicious of the book. The West included the book in the lectionary late and sparingly.”.

We have to have a good relationship with God in order to understand even a part of the particular book, Revelations.
Start with the words of Jesus, Peter and Paul, and then, cautiously move onto the Book of Revelation.. and only as the Lord allow.

I believe you can do that, Wakeup.

When I get the time, I will get the scriptures for you.
