    I have been considering Cindy's remarks to Gene in a recent post, about name calling.

    I plead guilty.

    I responded to her post but the things I said did not address her issue.

    She was right.

    The name calling she referenced was not the name calling Jesus engaged in.

    I have been wrong on several posts, by engaging in name calling for which I apologize, specifically to the thinker, and WJ. I do not remember abusing any others on the board, but if I have, I apologize to you also.

    And I thank Cindy for having the courage to post her remarks.

    I also apologize to Gene and others for setting a bad example in my use of rhetoric designed to belittle some who honestly believe they offer truth.

    I do not promise to be perfect, as that is not my pay grade. I do however promise to try to communicate as a Christian should and stop with the incendiary remarks.

    I will perhaps take more time between responses, so I can deal with issues instead of attacking personalities. If I fail in this endeavor, anyone who sees it, feel free to remind me.

    And thank you again Cindy.

    Hi PD

    No Problems here.

    I can come across pretty stern at times. I think there is a place for being firm however it should be with sincerity and truth and without resorting to attacking the person by calling them names like “worshippers of satan” or “Stupid” or “idiot” or “ignorant” or “ministers of satan” Etc..

    Most here name the name of Christ and we should not Judge their personal relationship with God. IMO

    Your response shames me even more.

    I will take a break for today and get back into discussion later, maybe tomorrow.

    I really do respect anyone who would defenc trinity doctrine from scripture.

    I just lose it from frustration of my own inability to get my point across.

    I really will try to be more civil, and display Christian virtue.

    Hello WJ;

    You make an excellent point, about our personal relationship with God. Only God knows, which is a good thing.

    Sorry I got all worked up. I will make sincere effort to avoid such again.

    This is a clear example of how by humbling ourselves, God will be exalted and He will exalt us (I certainly think more of these individuals now), furthermore it is by this attitude we show we are of God through our love for one another.

    It was you who initiated the peace making and it speaks highly of you and I respect you for it. No need to be shamed.

    Way to go guys!
    1 Cor 13:4-13
    4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
    5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
    6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
    7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
    8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
    9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part;
    10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.
    11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.
    12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.
    13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

    Hello sister;

    Again, I have to thank you for reminding me that I am supposed to be humble. When that certain frustration kicks in, I forget who I am and start behaving like I am my own worst enemy, or like I have a thorn still to place on Jesus' brow.

    I do hope I do not again set such a bad example.

    In Christian love

    a brother in Christ

    by the grace of God
