Hi WJ,
Since you teach what Jesus never taught do you get the occasional twinge of anxiety about your future?September 7, 2009 at 8:04 pm#144945KangarooJackParticipantQuote (princess of the king @ Sep. 08 2009,07:39) did you come to be saved by hearing about YHWH or about Yeshua?
Acts 4:10-12:…let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”I marvel that princess could even ask such a question.

we could discuss yohanan all day, one of my fav'splease let's go on
Women, believe me, the hour is coming when you shall neither on this mountain nor in yerushalalyim worship the Father,
you worship what you do not know, we worship what we know because the deliverance of the Yehudim,
but the hour is coming and now when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also does seek such to worship him, Elohim is spirit, and those who worship him need to worship in spirit and truth………….
the woman said to him, 'I know the Messiah is coming, the one who is called annointed, when that one comes he shall announce to us all. '
Yeshua said to her, 'I, who am speaking to you, am He.'
thought just came to mind, Was your god ever called messiah, the annointed one in the hebrew scriptures?
Yeshua, the annoited one, the begotten son of YHWH, is my savior.

HiGood! He is mine too! But somehow I get the feeling that you believe that some other being other than God could forgive your sins against God!
YHWH says that he is our only Saviour! Did he change his mind!
So who was the one that was piercied here…
Zechariah 12:10
“I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.Hint, it is YHWH that is speaking!

There is only One Saviour and there has always been one Saviour according to scriptures!

HiBTW. Did you ever check out the Greek word for “worship” that Jesus used in refering to “True worship” to the Father?
Its the same word that was used in the many times that Jesus was worshipped!

When the person said this, they in no way meant that every other sport was a false sport.
They meant….I know you know this….
Their meaning was that Water polo was the most competative or water polo is competative to the ultimate degree.
NOT that every other sport is false.
DavidAgain, Google “Only “ONE” True God” and see what you get!

Was God a mortal man?September 7, 2009 at 8:56 pm#144954Worshipping JesusParticipantQuote (david @ Sep. 06 2009,01:05) “What does “no God” mean to you David? Does it mean there is “no god except” the false god that Pharaoh perceived of Moses?” –WJ (p 38)
WJ, are you saying Jehovah made a false god? You also stated:
“No, I am sugesting that Pharaoh acknowledged that Moses was some sort of “a god” who he [Pharaoh] may or may not have worshipped.”–WJ (p 17)
WJ, I don't think Pharaoh worshiped Moses in any way, but you believe he might have.
My question to you:
WHY WOULD “JEHOVAH” have “MADE” a false god for Pharaoh to possibly worship?
Jehovah condemns false gods and he condemns the worship of them, does he not?

DavidQuote (david @ Sep. 06 2009,01:05) WHY WOULD “JEHOVAH” have “MADE” a false god for Pharaoh to possibly worship? Jehovah condemns false gods and he condemns the worship of them, does he not?
david
Why is it so hard for you to understand that to the Hebrews God did not make “a god” but instead he hardened the heart and blinded the mind of Pharaoh and made Moses “a god” to Pharaoh!Did YHWH contradict himself David.
Ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: “BEFORE ME THERE WAS NO GOD FORMED, NEITHER SHALL THERE BE AFTER ME”. Isa 43:10
“Now concerning everything which I have said to you, be on your guard; and “DO NOT MENTION THE NAME OF OTHER GODS, NOR LET THEM BE HEARD FROM YOUR MOUTH. Exod 23:13
I know these scriptures do not support your theology, but just the same they are true!
For believers there are “No Gods but One”, and for the believer all other gods are false and just a figment of the imagination of the blinded hearts of men.
To a child the flying cookie monster may be real, but the flying cookie monster is an imaginary figure that has no existence as a sentient being!
So=called gods by men are just that!

7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Thanks Bye
Also let us not forget these passages. Many scripture suggest Jesus was a man, and we believe that because we have proof.
Many scripture also suggests Jesus was God, but we cannot possibly prove that. It is an idea that must be taken with faith.
And why is it so hard to see that Jesus was both Man and God?
But I can in Hebrew 1:8 His Father said to His Son:”
Your Throne, O God is forever and ever, A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom, You have lobed righteousness and hated Lawlessness, Therefor God Your God has anointed You with the oil of gladness more then Your companions. Also in John 1:1 In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was God and the Word was with God.
Verse 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.So many have problems with this, but somewhere I read and I can't remember were, that God is a title. That does make sense to me since we are called the Sons of God and also the Angels were. Then if you grasp that it becomes easy to understand. Jesus was the Son of God and we are the adopted Sons of God and the Angels were created Sons of God. The Family of God.

True! But being on offence is not being offended or neither is it wrong!
If you are having a theolgical conversation and someone is coming against your belief then the natural response to a question like yours was “why” is there something wrong”, being that so many here are against any kind of organized anythig!

In a sense Jesus was just like us, He experienced everything like us, He was hungry like us, He hurt like us, but He had God's Holy Spirit without measure. He knew what was at stake if He would Sin. Since He was with the Father before the world was, and created all by the power of the Father, He in that sense was not like us. If The Almighty God our Heavenly Father would not have send someone like His Son, we would stay dead. All have fallen short of the glory of God.
But not Jesus, He has never sinned. And for that I am forever thankful to our Heavenly Father, and our Savior Jesus Christ for. Praise God Almighty.

Hi WJ,You should know the answer if God dwells also in you.[Eph3]
You offer Jesus as God and yet tell us God dwells in him?
If God dwells in you does that make you God too?

You are right He would not. I was a Catholic most of my Life.
I am forever thankful to God that He called my Husband and I out of that Church. The Catholic Church never said to read the Bible. We had a Catholic Bible and still do, and there are other Books in there that are not in other Bibles. When we finally opened our Bible and God opened our Eyes to see, we left that Church.
