Nick,
I am sorry for my poor grammar as I did mean MEDITATE.
May 19, 2015 at 11:30 am#797861NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
None of the verses you offer say anything about SPIRITUAL DEATH.
Do you have any more?
May 19, 2015 at 12:32 pm#797865Ed JParticipantHi davidl,
“it is only logic that the miracle in marys womb created by God, doesn’t matter if it a by the son of god or by the father, if it is a creation by god why not be spirit filled from conception.”
Yes some rely on LOGIC rather than what is revealed.
Presumption is the enemy of faith
Yes Nick,
I would say that’s it exactly:
“the spirit of Christ” conceived by God’s HolySpirit
entered Mary’s womb to take up residence as a Human. The “HolySpirit“ later entered into and re-joined with his son
“the spirit of Christ” (in the human vessel at 30)
and “The Word” became flesh
and dwelt among us
Immanuel_______________
God bless
Ed JMay 19, 2015 at 12:33 pm#797866NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
All who have not been reborn from above by the Spirit of life are prophetically dead-and by the second death.
This has nothing to do with their spirit being dead-they return to the Father of spirits.
You use a term made by men and one not found in scripture
May 19, 2015 at 12:34 pm#797867Ed JParticipant“ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them,
and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (2Cor.6:16)May 19, 2015 at 12:53 pm#797868NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
The Spirit of Christ was conceived?
The Spirit of anointing conceived?
Men are conceived and not spirits.
May 19, 2015 at 3:36 pm#797892NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
Do you have any scriptures about The Holy Spirit being CONCEIVED?
May 19, 2015 at 3:46 pm#797893Ed JParticipantHi ED,
The Spirit of Christ was conceived?
Hi Nick,
To be born into flesh, there must first be conception; do you agree?
This was before Jesus’ baptism with God’s HOLY SPIRIT at Jordan…
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David
a Savior, which is Christ the Lord“ (Luke 2:11)And so was this before Jesus’ baptism with God’s HOLY SPIRIT at Jordan…
“”And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people
together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born” ” (Matthew 2:4)These verses contradict your understanding, and that is why I reject it.
“the spirit of Christ” did not father himself Nick. No the
“Father of Spirits” (HOLY SPIRIT) instead did._______________
God bless
Ed JMay 19, 2015 at 3:55 pm#797895NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
So you say.
But the Christ was yet to be anointed from above.
That anointing announces itself in action.
No supernatural power of the Spirit was shown till the Jordan.
You see prophecy as today’s news, not the future
May 19, 2015 at 3:57 pm#797897NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
Flesh needs conception.
What is born of flesh is flesh. What is born of Spirit is spirit.
First the natural then the spiritual scripture states
But somehow you see both as simultaneous.
May 19, 2015 at 3:59 pm#797898kerwinParticipantNick,
I did not say Eve’s spirit was dead I said she died Spiritually when she sinned. In short she died to the Spirit as soon as she sinned.
May 19, 2015 at 3:59 pm#797899NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
The king of the Jews knew FROM PROPHECY in scripture about the birth of Christ.
The astrologers knew from the signs in the heavens.
May 19, 2015 at 4:00 pm#797901NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Yes you said that.
Scripture didn’t
So what guides you?
May 19, 2015 at 4:02 pm#797902NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Another new KWism.
“She died to the Spirit.”
Any scriptures?
May 19, 2015 at 4:03 pm#797903NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Scripture never said Eve had the Spirit.
So where do these ideas spring from?
May 19, 2015 at 4:08 pm#797905kerwinParticipantNick,
First: Scripture does not speaking of a third way of living. It presents two ways and one is to live by the Spirit while the other is to live by the flesh.
The fruit of the flesh is sin and it was not until she ate of the tree that she sinned.
May 19, 2015 at 4:20 pm#797908NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Of course the flesh contributes nothing.
It is SIN IN THE FLESH that motivates those who are not baptised in AND led by the Spirit.
The prince of this world pulls those strings.
May 19, 2015 at 4:33 pm#797914Ed JParticipantNick,
Satan twisted the spirit of God’s words in his argument with Eve and then said she would not die that very day. She did not die in a 24 hour period but she did become mortal as a result of eating the fruit.
Using a falsehood for a premise is unsound logic. In short Satan used what in logic is called a straw-man fallacy.
Sound and valid logic is to say since God said Eve would die that very day and God did not lie it follows that in some way Eve did indeed die the very day she ate the fruit. You and others use that reasoning though there is differences in the way each person has concluded Eve died that very day.
Hi Kerwin and Nick,
Scripture says that we should reason together in Isaiah 1:18,
and that God was going to burn up the Rudiments in 2Peter 3:12.
Rudiments are basic presumptuous thought (a rudimentary principle)_______________
God bless
Ed JMay 19, 2015 at 4:36 pm#797915Ed JParticipantHi KW,
Adam died within 1000yrs=1 day
Yep, the HolySpirit left that day,
and the flesh died within 1,000 years.May 19, 2015 at 4:39 pm#797918NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
Adam never was blessed in the Spirit.
The point that God was making is that man left to his natural resources is easy meat for the smart talking prince of this world.
