Hi Ed,
Was John the Baptist Elijah?
Hi Nick,
“Art thou Elijah? And he (John the Baptist) saith, I am not” (John 1:21)
_______________
God bless
Ed JApril 15, 2016 at 8:26 am#811844NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Compare the words of Jesus.
April 15, 2016 at 8:28 am#811845NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
If you cannot substantiate your rash claims about Jesus bearing the fruits of the Spirit before the Jordan
will you withdraw them?
April 15, 2016 at 8:56 am#811846NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Mt 11
And IF YOU ARE WILLING TO ACCEPT IT John himself IS Elijah who was to come.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Jesus was speaking SPIRITUALLY.
Have you yet got ears to hear spiritually?

Why would God the Father even want to make a human being who alread preexisted in the first place, what would that show mankind ?, “NOTHING”, all those who believe Jesus preexisted his berth on this earth have bought into the biggest “LIE”, EVER TOLD. You have not “yet” come to see that.
You “unknowingly” ARE robbing GOD THE FATHER, and Pay JESUS, SOMETHING JESUS NEVER DID. Come out of those false teachings brother.
===================================================================================================================================================
God did not make a human being the process of making human beings he did already put in place ;so it was only to take his first creation and bring him to receive flesh through a women ;
if you tell me that a man born of a woman can save us this is false ‘ Mary was a surrogate mother to Jesus the son of God ,
read your scriptures just do not interpret them as you go ;
only a voluntary action of the spirit world could take that position for all man have sin in Adam,and so none whatsoever could pay the price to God for their lives ,
Ps 49:7 No man can redeem the life of another
or give to God a ransom for him—
Ps 49:8 the ransom for a life is costly,
no payment is ever enough—
Ps 49:9 that he should live on forever
and not see decay.even the riches man in the entire world could not pay to God the price ,
for this reason ;MT 21:37 “But afterward he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
1JN 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.you have mist the very truth that scriptures teaches ; don’t believe me ;believe in the scriptures
April 15, 2016 at 9:07 am#811849NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
mt 17
And his disciples asked him
‘Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?’
And he answered them and said
‘Elijah is coming and will restore all things,
but I say to you that Elijah already came, and they did not recognise him,
but they did to him whatever they wished.
So also the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands’
Then the disciples understood that he had spoken to them about John the Baptist.
The disciples learned to hear spiritually.
Can you?
April 15, 2016 at 9:16 am#811850kerwinParticipantNick,
Hi KW,
It is not written so human reasoning is proven useless.
The letter of the words you say can be interpretative as true but the spirit is false.
Reasoning based on principles of the Spirit is both sound and valid and there many examples of it in Scripture.
Reasoning based on godless principles is flawed and there are examples of it in Scripture as well.
The reasoning that caused you to write the words above is not from God as God is not afraid to reason with those that would use reason that is not flawed.
April 15, 2016 at 9:18 am#811851NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Note too that the scribes were correct.
But because they could not see spiritually they murdered the anointed man John and Jesus Christ.
It is vital that we do learn as the disciples did.
April 15, 2016 at 9:28 am#811852kerwinParticipantNick,
I have substantiated my claims that Jesus bore the fruit of the Spirit before he was immersed in the Jordon but you choose not to see them.
So which fruit did he not bear?
Was he not at peace with God?
Did have joy in knowing God?
Did he love?
Was he long suffering?
Was he gentle?
Was he good?
Did he have faith?
Was he meek?
Was he temperate?Did he not bear all these fruit for when tempted not to bear them he resisted the devil and the later ran away.
Galatians 5:22-23Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Do want to answer my question or do you want to run away by sidetracking the conversation?
That last question will answered by your actions.
April 15, 2016 at 9:38 am#811853kerwinParticipantTerrarica,
;your scriptures is only addressed to the Jews ;but Jesus sacrifice was done to /for all men ;
I was not addressing his sacrifice but only the fact that he was anointed to preach the gospel and do miracles.
You are correct if you are stating his mortal ministry was limited to the Jews with a few exceptions. I do not see where it is relevant.
In short you prevent no evidence that changes what observed about Luke 4:18-19
I have a lot of work to do and I will try to correctly interpret the rest of your words later.
April 15, 2016 at 10:10 am#811854terrariccaParticipantKerwin
you seem not to understand that Christ was anointed for his sacrifice what was the fulfilling of the law for all men sins ,and not for the Jews only of course he came to call on the Jews first ,
you seem to consider only one scripture and so believe in a tiny little truth and believing that now you have it right ? unless you know all the scriptures and then understand the reality of God’s purpose or don’t talk for you just don’t know enough to speak about God will but ask questions like a student should do
April 15, 2016 at 10:21 am#811857NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
I have very little information about the infancy and childhood of Jesus.
Clearly you must have more so please share your evidence with us.
Or are you saying that spiritual fruit is what is apparent in all?
April 15, 2016 at 10:31 am#811858NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
mt 13
He came to his hometown and began teaching them in their synagogue SO TYAT THEY WERE ASTONISHED and said
“where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers.
Is this not the carpenter’s son?
Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?
and his sisters, are thy not all with us?
where did this man get all these things?”
So his neighbours were astonished at what had happened to a man in their neighbourhood.
But you prefer to imagine he was born that way.
April 15, 2016 at 10:50 am#811859NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Produce the written evidence for your claims or withdraw them.
Vague generalisations do not wash as evidence of the fruit of the Spirit.
You risk insulting the Spirit.
April 15, 2016 at 11:19 am#811860Ed JParticipantMary was a surrogate mother to Jesus the son of God
Hi Pierre, FALSE!
Why do you preach what is clearly false?
“Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;” (Romans 1:3)

Jesus was anointed for many things, including burial (Matthew 26:12), but I was not speaking of him being anointed to be King. I was speaking of his being anointed to preach the gospel and do miracles.
April 15, 2016 at 12:03 pm#811866kerwinParticipantNick,
I have very little information about the infancy and childhood of Jesus.
There is little evidence but there is enough to answer my question.
April 15, 2016 at 12:12 pm#811867kerwinParticipantNick,
“where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers.
I already claim he was anointed to preach the gospel and do miracles. You want to add to what is not written and claim he was also given a new spirit at the same time. Your invention is ludicrous that I do not think you realize what you are saying.
His neighbors did not comment on his fruit and what they did comment on just confirms some of what I claim.
Thanks for the passage.

“Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;” (Romans 1:3)
====================================================================================================================this does not change anything for he was forecast to come to be the King in the throne of David and he came through Mary line ,but that does not change that she was a surrogate mother ,what you believe is wrong ;for you don’t believe that Jesus was sent from heaven ,just as he said he did ,
you know better than Jesus himself ,yeah,heard this before ;
Heb 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.
Heb 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.did Paul lied in the next scriptures ?
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Col 1:16 For through him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created through him and for him.
Col 1:17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.and did John lied also when he said ;
Jn 1:10 He(Jesus)was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.
and again Paul;
Phil 2:6 Who, being in very nature/form of God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
Phil 2:7 but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
Phil 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Phil 2:9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
Phil 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Phil 2:11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.so you don’t believe those scriptures and so many other ;but you believe what you make up, the placebo faith ,untruth believed as truth
April 15, 2016 at 1:33 pm#811873Ed JParticipantyou don’t believe those scriptures
Hi Pierre,
The NIV is corrupt – Get yourself an “AKJV Bible” so you can learn truth
