Hi Danny,
You are a temple.
True worshipers worship God in spirit and in truth.
Your heart is the temple where you can communicate with the Father and the Son.
April 12, 2016 at 9:24 am#811657NickHassanParticipantHi Danny,
Freedom is a little daunting.
Men often want to fall back into the comforts of false religion.
But God hates the whore with a passion and we do now need to walk in the light of faith
April 12, 2016 at 9:50 am#811658NickHassanParticipantHi Danny,
Our minds tell us we need to do more.
They lie.
Anything useful comes from the works done by God through us.
“be still and know that I am God”

Hi KW,
Where is the written evidence?
When was he first tempted and how?
Assuming you have been tempted as common to humanity, when were you first tempted?
Jesus was tempted as you are.
April 12, 2016 at 10:31 am#811660NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Yes he was and he never sinned.
That is no proof of having the Spirit.
Do you have any?
April 12, 2016 at 10:43 am#811661NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Did you receive the Spirit before birth?
If not what hope have you of following him?
April 12, 2016 at 1:13 pm#811663kerwinParticipantNick,
Yes he was and he never sinned.
That is no proof of having the Spirit.
If you truly believe that hen you must not believe that will know them by their fruit.
Either that or that he was not tempted even as other human beings.
Gene believes the later.
April 12, 2016 at 1:52 pm#811664NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Yes we know no man can attain to the righteousness of God.
God does not expect men to so he gave them the law.
Jesus fully obeyed the law and never sinned.
It was enough for God but not for you?
April 12, 2016 at 2:28 pm#811666NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Do you believe that no man can obey the law unless they are anointed?
April 12, 2016 at 4:36 pm#811668kerwinParticipantNick,
The Law is Spiritual and so can only be upheld by those that live by the Spirit. That is why it made allowances for those without the Spirit in the form of sacrifices. Those sacrifices are symbol of what would be and now is.
Elisha was anointed to preach God’s words and to do miracles but he did not receive the Spirit as an advocate because because it was first given to Jesus and then through him to others. That is why it is written “that they without us should not be made perfect.” (Hebrews 11:40)
Jesus received the Advocate but was not anointed to preach the word and do miracles until later.
April 12, 2016 at 5:01 pm#811669NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Another series of dogmatic statements with no proofs offered.
Are you saying it was impossible for men to obey the law?
April 12, 2016 at 5:03 pm#811670NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Are you saying that obedience to the law is a fruit of the Spirit?
April 12, 2016 at 5:13 pm#811671NickHassanParticipantHi KW.
The law is summed up as
You shall love your neighbour as yourself.
Is that impossible for men without being anointed from above?
Why was the law given?
April 12, 2016 at 5:24 pm#811672kerwinParticipantNick,
So according to you passages from Scripture that are inconvenient for your chosen doctrine are “dogmatic”. That is not being Spiritual.
April 12, 2016 at 5:29 pm#811673kerwinParticipantNick,
The Law was a schoolteacher. (Galatians 3:24-25)
April 12, 2016 at 5:30 pm#811674kerwinParticipantNick,
There is no law against doing what is right.
April 12, 2016 at 7:03 pm#811675NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
You are a few questions behind.
Was the law designed to be ineffectual?
April 12, 2016 at 7:27 pm#811676NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
From the law comes the knowledge of sin.
Rom3.20
Surely a godfearing man can avoid sin by this knowledge?
April 12, 2016 at 8:25 pm#811684kerwinParticipantNick,
Without the Spirit it is impossible to obey the righteous requirements of the Law, which is why animal sacrifice was written in the Law. Animal sacrifices are not part of the Law but a symbol of things to come. (Colossians 2:16-17)
That is also why Jesus told the Jews he would free them from bondage to sin. He also stated anyone that sins is in bondage to sin. (John 8:30-36)
Paul speaks of this believers being freed in Romans 6 and states it happens at baptism in Christ.
April 12, 2016 at 8:29 pm#811685kerwinParticipantNick,
Knowledge is not power and so cannot successfully overcome the flesh.
That is why it is written:
Romans 8:3-4Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
