Hi Ed,
So those who are given of the Spirit are able to partake in the divine nature.
We follow the Lord Jesus.
April 2, 2016 at 7:08 pm#811232kerwinParticipantDanny Dabbs:
Rather this is true:
GOD’S WORD® Translation
This is why God has given him an exceptional honor- the name honored above all other names- 10so that at the name of Jesus everyone in heaven, on earth, and in the world below will kneel 11and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
Another controversial passage. If I look then once again either Jehovah was inserted into the Aramaic or removed from the Koine Greek.

2 peter 1
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Perhaps this is what you meant.
That by the same Spirit we too can be partakers in the DIVINE NATURE?
Yes
April 2, 2016 at 11:39 pm#811240Ed JParticipantHi Ed,
Of course this refers to the DIVINE NATURE of God which the Spirit in Jesus Christ fully revealed.
Yes, the spirit of Christ Jesus was born with.

Born with?
April 3, 2016 at 6:59 am#811248NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
We follow a man like ourselves.
And as his anointing allowed him to partake in the divine nature so we also are enabled to do the same.
And that nature was revealed after his anointing at the Jordan.
April 3, 2016 at 7:12 am#811249kerwinParticipantNick,
The sum of the Law is love and love is a fruit of the Spirit. Do apple trees bear pears or cheery trees plums? You will know them by their fruit.
April 3, 2016 at 7:43 am#811251Ed JParticipantYes, the spirit of Christ Jesus was born with.
Hi Ed,
Born with?
Yes Nick,
We have talking about this in The Ordinary Jesus Brigade thread for some time now… …(Link)
So please don’t play dumb in this thread, OK?

Hi Nick,
Are you claiming that Jesus (according to you) did not have a divine nature
before he was baptized by John the baptist? y/n
(remember “I don’t know” is also an acceptable answer)_______________

Ed JApril 3, 2016 at 7:57 am#811254NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Yes.
Jesus of Nazareth was conceived in his mother’s womb and this man was born in Bethlehem.
What else do you doubt?
April 3, 2016 at 8:15 am#811256NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
It is by receiving the Spirit that we can be gifted with a share of the divine nature.
The Holy Spirit came down on Jesus at the Jordan.
He was filled with the Spirit
Then he was led by the Spirit into the desert.
Surely you know these things.
April 3, 2016 at 8:38 am#811257kerwinParticipantEd,
Your teaching is confusing.
1) You claim Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit.
2) You claim Jesus Christ has the Holy Spirit.Either one or the other is true not both. So which is not what you believe.

Hi Nick,
That “the Spirit of Christ” (according to you) is the “Holy Spirit” (The Spirit of God).

What else do you doubt?Hi Nick,
Tell me this: Why would Jesus use the term “another Comforter” if he is the same comforter (as youprofess)?
If ye love me,
keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter,
that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you,
and shall be in you.” (John 14:15-17)________________

1) You did not answer my question.
2) No, I do not read every post you write.
3) Nick may not understand what you teach either as he only addresses aspects. - AuthorPosts
