    Hi ed,

    Yes.

    (1)Jesus had become the Christ.

(2)The word was made flesh and dwelled amongst us.

    Hi Nick,

    1) “The spirit of Christ” became Jesus in Mary’s womb (via God’s HolySpirit).
    2) And “The Word”(HolySpirit) was made flesh (at Jordan) and dwelt among us.

    Hi Nick,

Is Jesus’ spirit part of the “We” – yes or no?

    Hi ED,

    No.

The spirit of a man is of the breath of God given to Adam.

It is not of the Spirit of God.

    Hi Nick,

Then how do you account for Jesus living a sin-free-life
from Jesus’ birth to his baptism (at Jordan) if Jesus’
spirit was not “the spirit of Christ” from birth?

    Ed,

The Holy Spirit has many titles and each serves a purpose.

The Spirit of Christ tells us is God’s Spirit he gave to Jesus and that that Anointed walks according to it and gives it to those that in belief obey his teachings so that they may also walk by it.

The Spirit of God tells us that it originates with God and that he walks according to us.

The Holy Spirit tells us that it is the Spirit of sanctification.

Jesus Christ is a human and so he has a human spirit.

    Hi Ed,

    He obeyed the Law.

In so doing he justified the existence of that Law.

    Hi Ed,

no Jesus was conceived like any other man and had a human spirit.

Then at the Jordan having fulfilled the Law and overcome he was anointed with the Holy Spirit.

    Hi Ed,

Jesus was empowered and began his ministry at the Jordan.

He showed the way to us weak fellow mortals.

    Hi Kerwin,

Sounds like you are trying to nullify God’s word…

“None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:” (Psalms 49:7)

…but you are saying yes he can, no? ???

“And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me?
wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49)

    Hi Nick,

What “business” of his father was he going about at age 12 *IF*
he didn’t have the spirit of the son until age 30 (at Jordan)?

    Hi Nick,

So God’s spirit is a Father/Son combo to be called a “WE”? ???

If so, then why did Jesus say this…

“Hear, O Israel; The LORD our God is one LORD” (Mark 12:29)

Are you purposely implying Jesus is a sinner?

I assure you Jesus neither trusts in his wealth or boasts in multitude of his riches.

    Ed,

There is one mediator that stands between us and God and the mediator is the human being that was conceived of Mary by a miracle of God.

    Hi t8:

    You say to kerwin:

Read it carefully and remove all bias kerwin.

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.” 57 So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”[d] 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”

(But I ask you to read it carefully, and then tell me if Jesus said anything about having seen Abraham)

    Love in Christ,

    Marty,

Technically Jesus did not say Abraham saw him.

In addition the Jews’ objection was based on the age of Jesus’ human body. No one is claiming his human body preexisted his conception.

Don’t attempt to dodge my question by throwing up a red herring
    Now please address my question…

    Hi Ed,

Did you not realise God is one?

God has a son and we can commune with them in the one Holy Spirit.

    Hi Ed,

God was his Father and he knew that.

He served his Father Who disciplined him and encouraged his walk of faith.

    Ed,

It is not a red herring.

The “them” in “None of them” is anyone of the group of those are those that trust in their wealth and boasts in the multitude of their riches. Its in verse Psalms 49:6.

    No Kerwin,

The “THEM” is all the inhabitants of the world

“Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world” (Psalms 49:1)
“None of them can by any means redeem his brother” (Psalms 49:7)

SEE THE CONTEXT? …”all ye inhabitants of the world”
“None of them can by any means redeem his brother”

Can any of them(=all the inhabitants of the world) redeem his brother; “Yes” or “No”?
Please do not attempt to dodge by throwing up another red herring, OK?

    “Yes” or “No”?

But you will not answer, will you?

    “Yes” or “No”?

But you will not answer, will you?

    “when I asked of them, could answer a word. Behold, they are all vanity;
their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.”

    Hi t8,

You say Jesus was not an ordinary man but one from heaven.

What hope do ordinary men like you and I have of following him then?
