T8,
Hi t8,
The ONLY part of a man that remains original is the SOUL.
The spirit leaves and the new body is put over the old if you are of Christ.
The soul of man does not preexist but came from the breath of God at creation as genesis shows
I tend to agree.
When did Jesus receive his spirit? 2000 or so years ago or before the cosmos?
We are told when he received the Spirit of God.
Matthew 12:17-18New English Translation (NET Bible)
17 This fulfilled what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet:
18
“Here is my servant whom I have chosen,
the one I love, in whom I take great delight.
I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations. So God placed his Spirit on Jesus at a time after Isaiah foretold it occur.

Jn 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.
Does this mean you continue to hold on to the ideal that Jesus bodily descended from heaven even though you know
1) Scripture declares he was conceived in Mary
2) Scripture declares that in regards to the body he was made of the Seed of David
3) Scripture declares he was made of a woman and made under the Law.Why do you choose to believe Jesus’ body was both made of a woman on earth and descended from heaven?
You chosen interpretation breaks Scripture and Jesus stated Scripture cannot be broken.

When natural men are confronted with claims or actions that can only relate to divine origins
they either want to kill the messenger or worship him as a god.

1 Jn 1 tells us the Word is from the beginning.
In the beginning was the Word.
And yet folk confuse the Spirit of anointing with the man who was anointed.

why are you telling me what you want me to believe in ?
no I do not believe that Mary receive the body of Jesus but his soul for how Mary a women could have a hold of God’s son ? this is why scriptures says that Jesus had to Phil 2:6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
Phil 2:7 but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
Phil 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!if you believe those scriptures then you have come to understand the truth of God if not you are still lost
November 17, 2015 at 4:34 pm#804935NickHassanParticipantHi ,
Indeed the Word was made flesh, but not in Mary but in Jesus of Nazareth.
November 17, 2015 at 4:44 pm#804936NickHassanParticipantHi,
The Word was in Jesus and should be in us-the Spirit of Christ
If we say we have not sinned we make Him a liar and His WORD is not in us.

Do you believe Jesus’ soul preexists the conception of his body in Mary?
November 17, 2015 at 5:20 pm#804938NickHassanParticipantHi,
If you cannot hear the voice of the Spirit in Jesus then you are still aligned with the Pharisees.

so far you have got the guts to address my scriptures and so refuse to believe them ,but you favor your own opinions ,we do not worship the same god for your God has no son ,you have establish what kind of son he should have or can have ,

so take care with your opinions

Should the message be modified to suit your ears?
November 17, 2015 at 6:29 pm#804941kerwinParticipantTerrarica,
I have addressed you Scriptures but you have not answered my last question. If I do not understand where you are coming from then how can I correct your misunderstanding?
November 18, 2015 at 5:05 pm#804966NickHassanParticipantHi T,
Until you know the voice of the Spirit you will always be confused as to who Jesus is.
November 19, 2015 at 2:53 pm#805009ProclaimerParticipantHi Danny. I believe this to be the case too. There are just too many scriptures that you need to address/change if you do not.
November 19, 2015 at 3:19 pm#805015NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Was the Word not with God?
Did the Word not speak through the mouth of Jesus?
November 19, 2015 at 3:22 pm#805016NickHassanParticipantHi t8
Heb 1
“God, after he spoke long ago to the fathers IN the prophets in many portions and many ways
in these last days has spoken to us IN His Son..’
Do you believe this?
November 19, 2015 at 4:04 pm#805022NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
Jn8.47
He who is of God hears the words of God.
Jesus said this but he was not saying that he is God as you know.
Was he saying God was speaking through him as He spoke through the prophets?
November 19, 2015 at 9:25 pm#805027NickHassanParticipantHi,
The words of Jesus caused confusion when he spoke them and it still is the case.
They are not designed to be grasped by unspiritual men.
They remain a stumbling block for them.
Knowledge is not wisdom.
November 20, 2015 at 8:31 am#805033NickHassanParticipantHi,
Faith comes by hearing.
Hearing the WORD of God.
rely on what you hear more than what you see.
You see a man.
You hear God
November 20, 2015 at 9:19 am#805036kerwinParticipantt8,
I think I have addressed all those passages at one time or another and in every case it is the reader’s point of view that determines how they are understood.
Scripture literally states that as far as his body Jesus was made of the Seed of David and that he was conceived in his mother’s womb. It also is clear that Jesus was a human being during his mortality and is after his mortality.
That leaves the hypothesizes that his human soul, his human spirit, and/or the Spirit of God preexists the conception of Jesus.
