    Quote (Cato @ Feb. 03 2008,16:01)
Everyone is always quick to look to the devil when they should look to themselves.  Most deceptions in life come from within, because we lie to ourselves more then even others.  We should remember the advice “to thy own self be true”.  Remember that pride is one of the seven deadly sins and when we consider ourselves one of the “elect” , is it an honest self assessment or is it our own inflated ego?  While many can argue with Tow and Stu I sincerely doubt they are agents of dark forces.  Just because people have a different perspective does not make them evil.  They may actually be doing folks here some good by stirring their intellectual natures.  Faith grows more through challenge then by passivity.
As far as the topic of anger I heard this once and liked it a lot:
The man who never angers is worth little, But the man who angers and controls it not is worthless.

I don't think anybody was considering to be the elect. We don't know who God has chosen. Besides we are talking about if those that are the elect, if they could be deceived. You say we should not look at the devil, but rather at ourselves? I think we better look at the devil He is the author of all evil. We better stay away from Him. We are under Christ Blood and Sin is not imputed to us. Will we sin, yes. If we say that we don't the truth is not in us. But we have a Mediator Jesus Christ that we can go to God's Throne and confess our Sins and He will be quick to forgive us. Do we have Pride, I believe that all have some pride, especially here in America where so much has been given to us. But if we have been Baptized and have been born again, the Holy Spirit will tell you when you go wrong.
As far as Tow and Stu is concerned, why would I take advice from an Atheist and Someone who does not believe that Jesus is my Savior and My Messiah. Why is Stu on a Christian Website? Not to learn from us. But to give us a hard time. That is good? Sorry you are so wrong about them. They have stirred up a lot of doubt in some on this site. Of course it is the end times and we should expect that will happen. But to go along with the flow I will not do. I will always stand up for my Savior Jesus Christ and God the Father. We are in the process of overcoming as a Christian, and those that will overcome will be with Christ in the millenium that is what Jesus has promised, NOT MY WORDS. I HAVE ALSO SAID THAT THOSE CHRISTIAN THAT GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR CHRIST WILL PROBABLE BE ONE OF THE ELECT. BUT WE DON'T KNOW UNTIL CHRIST RETURNES.

This reminded me of something someone sent to me:

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said “No. It is not for Me to take away, but for you to give it up”.

I asked God to make the handicapped child whole.
God said “No. His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary”.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said “No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said “No. I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you”.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said “No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to Me”.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said “No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said “No. I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things”.

I ask God to help me love others, as much as He loves me.
God said…”Ahhhh, finally you have got the idea”.

    Hi,
    God is positive.
Love is positive as is hope and joy.
To live in Christ is to live always cheerfully and positively
    2Cor 1

17When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?

18But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.

19For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

20For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Hi! There are indeed a lot of things in life that are positive.
A Baby's first cry. A Baby's first step. A Baby's first words. Then the grow up and the cycle starts all over again.
For most of the times, this website has been positive. Just wish more people would just fellowship.
Shows me what they are all about.
We had over a foot of snow last week and now it is all melting. It was so beautiful today the Sun was shinning so bright, the Birds are out. Even the deer come through our yard looking for food. They mainly travel at night tho. We see their tracks in the snow.
Spring is just around the corner and that means planting flowers. One of my favorite things to do. So positive.

One thing that is so positive that it changed the whole world. God send His only begotten Son to die for us, so we can have eternal life in Christ Jesus. We are now under a New Covenant which is the Blood of Christ. We have received the Holy Spirit and now understand which is of God. There is no greater positive then that.
Brethren lets Love each other with a Godly Love which Jesus has shown us.
Lets be positive one day at the time. Praise God on High.
    Bless you all.

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases.
His mercies never come to end.
    They are new every morning,
    new every morning.
    Great is thy faithfulness,
    O LORD.

    Great is thy faithfulness.

Refrain:                 ” Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness.'
Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hands has provided.
' Great is Thy faithfulness, ” Lord unto me!

1 ” Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changes not. Thy compassions, they fail not.
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Sun Moon and Stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness.
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
