Quote (Nick Hassan @ June 01 2012,12:43) Hi Ed,
yes probably.
It is mentioned 5 times in scripture once as a twisted serpent.
Thanks
Isaiah 27:1
In that day the LORD will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.So should we surmise from this?
Hi Nick,Ezek 28:9 Will thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? (Link)

Hi Nick, It pays to study!Psalm 119:98-106 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.
102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.
103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.Your brother
in Christ, Jesus.

Yes you offer scripture as bait but lead us into what seem to be private interpretations.
Is that wise?

“no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” (2Peter 1:20)I merely explain it's fulfillment; perhaps you do not know the difference?

No scriptural witnesses.
Nick.Have you studied the old testament?
Its all over the place. One example Isiah ch.10. after reading it, can you tell me what it is all about?wakeup.
Hi WU,
Yes much.Is 10 surely is about God punishing Israel for their evil ways using Assyria, then punishing Assyria for their foolish arrogance thinking it was by their own power.
A remnant of Israel is left.

What is to explain?
Nick.isiah 52:4. For thus said the Lord God, my people went down aforetime into –EGYPT–TO SOJOURN THERE. (this happened),they were in egypt for 430 yrs,and they were oppressed by pharaoh; he turned them into slaves.
Why does it say that the ASSYRIAN (not assyrians) oppressed them without cause? Why the ASSYRIAN?
What has the ASSYRIAN got to do with pharaoh in egypt?
Isiah 14:25. I will break the ASSYRIAN (not assyrians) in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: Then shall his yoke depart from off their shoulders.
verse,26. This is the purpose that is purposed upon THE WHOLE EARTH:- AND THIS IS THE HAND THAT IS STRETCHED OUT UPON ALL THE NATIONS.(his yoke will depart also from off the earths shoulders).
question: who is the assyrian?
vers 27. For the Lord of host hath purposed, and who shall disannul it?
And his hand is stretched out, who shall turn it back?(Gods hand)wakeup.

Ed J.A man has a spirit and so does both God and Jesus. That spirit in a manner of speaking is the man. John the Baptist is called the Elijah that was to come because he has a spirit like unto Elijah.
Galatians 5:16
King James Version (KJV)16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
So walk in the Spirit of Christ and Jesus will live in you through his Spirit just as God lives in Jesus through his Spirit.
June 2, 2012 at 3:56 am#300546WakeupParticipantQuote (kerwin @ June 02 2012,08:56) Ed J.; Do you believe Jesus is a spirit?
Kerwin.Jesus is the word of God made flesh,of the root off david.
Resurrected in a spirit body,he has the truth in him,for the Word of God is truth; If the word dwelleth in us we also have the spirit of truth in us,each according to Gods measure. So Jesus is not just a spirit force,he has a body.
We all have the spirit of life in us,but we also have the spirit of truth in us if we follow the word of God in truth that is.
It is that same spirit that will quicken the flesh in the resurrection. Some have the spirit of evil in them, that makes them do evil things, satan is the father of it.
satans spirit is evil; Gods spirit is holy, which one have we got in us?This world(babylon) has followed the spirit of satan, thats why babylon will be destroyed.

Kerwin.Aspirit body can materialise, into anything at will.
sample: Melchiszedek (the word of God) translated in the flesh ( not born)then vanishes. He is the first king of peace and righteousness in salem.
In all; Jesus is preeminance. At his coming; he simply takes back what was his all along.wakeup.

Quote A spirit body can materialize into anything at will. I do know where this teaching comes from but I do know that Jesus went to special effort to prove he was not a spirit; which is to say a ghost. Shouldn’t we both be doing the same?
Quote Melchiszedek (the word of God) translated in the flesh ( not born)then vanishes. Hebrews 7
King James Version (KJV)
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.Scripture does not name his father, his mother, his descendants, his conception, his death day, or the end of his priesthood. In this he is like an angel of God. I still do not see where it teaches he has a spirit body that materialized as flesh.
June 2, 2012 at 8:15 pm#300583NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Hebrews tells us that Melchizidec was a MANThe same book uses the fact that he had no KNOWN ancestry to compare him with the Son of God.
Of course that Sonship is of the Spirit and not human parenthood.
