Quote (Nick Hassan @ July 20 2010,22:33) Hi OXY,
But when you are shown the words of God you shun them.
How can you be sure you hear the Author?
So are you telling me that what God says is limited to the Scriptures Nick? And by the way, I don't shun the Scriptures. I do shun some peoples' interpretation of the Scriptures.

Why would YOU want to win?
learning is the hope.
Learning is good, but hearing is better.
oxyyou have it wrong;learning is better,than hearing;
Christ says they hear the word but they do not understand it ,what good is that?

We will have to agree to differ. At the end of the day you can be a Christian without the Bible, but you can't be a Christian without Christ. The Bible would be meaningless to me without Christ and the Holy Spirit, but He brings meaning to the things I read, but more important than that, the Lord directs my path and tells me that which He requires of me. Note, I said He tells me, using His voice.
I would much rather hear His voice and know His direction than be a learned scholar of the Scriptures. Some of the world's greatest theologians don't know the Lord.
Hi Oxy,Psalm 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shall keep them, O LORD(YHVH), thou shall preserve them(in The AKJV Bible) from this generation forever.
Isaiah 28:11 For with stammering lips “and another tongue” will (That is: in English) “HE” speak to this people.Ed J (Joshua 22:34)

I agree that the words of the LORD are pure, but they are not limited to Scripture.
Hi Oxy,You said recently: The Bible is not (according to Oxy) The word of God, so were making progress!
Of course “The Word” is NOT limited to “The Bible”, but It's certainly in there!God bless

that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

July 22, 2010 at 7:02 pm#205471NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
God is cleansing a people for Himself so that He will be in all.
But some will still be found as goats destined for the fire.[Mt25]

2) Can both inhabit the same place and time in eternity ?
God will dwell with man and man with God, but first sinfulness– badness need eliminating; all needs cleansed and purified for God to be with man3) Do you think the Earth has been cleansed of sin?
Hi Shimmer,This is not a single question, but they three rhetorical questions
that 'you' (Shimmer) believe you already know the answers to.1) God can still abide in this world even though it is yet filled with sin.
Psalm 110:1-2 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. (Rev.19:15)2) Answer #1 answers this question as well.
3) To this question I asked a conjunctive question relative to you…
“Do 'you think' you have been cleansed of sin?”Think deeply about these answers Shimmer.
To further answer this last question with another conjunctive response…
Does 'your cleansing' cleans the whole world at the same time?Witnessing to the world in behalf of YHVH (Psalm 45:17)

God was yet in the midst of His enemies in Athens.[Acts17]He was ruling in Paul though the Spirit of Christ.
That rule will be extended to all when God has cleansed earth of His enemies.July 24, 2010 at 10:21 am#205703shimmerParticipantEDJ, again, sorry to be so – harsh – earlier. Hi Shimmer,How does what you say square with…
1Kings 8:27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold,
the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee;
how much less this house that I have builded?
2Chron.2:5-6 And the house which I build is great:
for great is [Our YHVH=117] above all gods. But who is
able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven
of heavens cannot contain him? who I then, that I should
build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?Rev.21:2-3 And I John saw the HOLY CITY=117, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold,
the tabernacle of God is with men (Is.60:14), and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,
AND GOD HIMSELF=117 shall be with them, and be “their God”=86 (YHVH=63).

http://www.holycitybiblecode.orgJuly 25, 2010 at 6:35 pm#205897NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
The Spirit of Christ could not be shared while Jesus was yet on earth.[jn7 38-39]
On his entering heaven the comforter would be sent by Jesus and the Father.[Jn14-16]
In that Spirit the brothers could ever commune with God and His Son[2cor 13.14, 2jn9]
When he returns he will not spare the rebellious including false teachers[2cor 13.2, 2Peter2]
When he returns will there be faith found on earth? - AuthorPosts
