Enjoy your life because there is probably no god.

    That is an oxymoron.

Enjoy means to have joy and joy comes from God.

Without the ability to have joy, you couldn't enjoy anything.

When people say ignore God and enjoy life, what they are really saying is ignore God and sin.

After all. To enjoy life is what God created us for. And I am all for enjoying my life and I do. The only difference we probably have is that you enjoy sin and I enjoy doing good things, generally speaking and judging by your comment.

I do admit that sin can be fun, there is no doubt about that. But it is for a season. It is written that sin gives birth to death. That is why sinners need a bigger kick, a bigger drug, a bigger thrill when they continually sin. As they die, they need more sin to give them the same kick.

No thanks. Not for me. I lived like that once, and even in my atheistic state, I saw how sin brings boredom and death.

The best enjoyment I get is loving God and appreciating what he has created. When you truly love God, you have a greater respect for people and creation. And in that, there is great joy, sometimes unspeakable joy.

So I enjoy life. What about you?

Do you enjoy life or do you enjoy sin?

Life comes from God. Sin comes from ourself.

    Your choice again Stu.

If it is a sin not to accept a human sacrifice for one's own selfish ends, or to love a god that has committed genocide upon genocide by its own brutal admission, a god that will blind people then punish them for not being able to see, then I guess I will be opting for what you call sin.

I will make idols and covet my neighbour's domestic animals. I will not be bowing down to any god, and especially one that would punish my descendants for maybe the next 125 years. I will carry on blaspheming and will have no regard for anything called sabbaths.

No one, not even I, will be victims of these things you call sins. What a nonsense concept it is.

Anyway t8, your megalomaniac hemidemigod Paul puts the lie to your comparison, in Romans 3:23. Your choices must end in you sinning. As I am not a christian or Abrahamist, I am not a sinner.

Good luck with your sinning, and enjoy it! There probably is no god to keep you under constant paranoiac surveillance anyway.

Care to substantiate this assertion without using ancient texts?

i am focusing on the word PROBABLY regarding the ten thousand dollars sign, you think all the monies spent they would be more precise with the wording, so really what some are saying is a good cause, is not really their cause at all. just poor mismangement of monies that could have been spent on an actual good cause and a unsound call on the PR department. what a waste.

The word 'probably' has been questioned by the religious in every place the Atheist Bus Campaign has been mounted. It is simply the honest reflection that everyone on the planet is either agnostic or mad.

It is dishonest to claim there is definitely no god, just as it is dishonest to claim there definitely is a god.

The word 'probably' has been questioned by the religious (whose religion) in every place (where/when are the places)

the Atheist Bus Campaign has been mounted (this is the last one, what)

any one with knowledge ^ wisdom knows that it is a mis management of monies, a fool rushes in……

nothing comes from this, nothing at all.

All answers to your excellent questions here.

I presume you are happy with people being allowed to spend their discretionary income how they want?

Advertising works, even the really dumb ones (and especially the really dumb ones – maybe they should make this one dumber!). I don't think nothing will come of it at all: there will be little interest from moderate mainstream church-goers who may or may not actually believe, but those who have harboured doubts about silly religious claims like Imaginary Supernatural Friends might be encouraged to speak those thoughts aloud. Also, I think christian fundamentalists are affected by messages like this. There appears to me a greater likelyhood of conversion between atheism and fundamentalism than with anything in between: for some people there is no middle ground. Fewer religious fundies in the world will by no means be a bad thing. Atheist fundies don't present much of a threat to anyone!

But the difference is that this Atheist Bus message tells you to think for yourself.

All religious messages, and soap powder adverts, tell you to start thinking like other people.

you not sure now, or your not sure how that you are a bore like the others.

you think of ways to dispute every individual that does not think like you, believe like you. what you accuse other's of you do the same.

intellegence proceeds common sense in your world, you are like the other's. common sense tells you to look both ways when you cross the street, intellegence needs the maps, traffic conditions, time of day to establish when it is the best time to cross the street. then others that blindly just cross without thinking.

    stuart of other's.

you ask what if there was no God, what would history be like, where would mankind be right now, would mankind be better off.

if some of us did not have the faith, this world would have crumbled alot sooner then now.

    do not murder
    do not lie
    do not steal
    do not covent

you underestimate us stuart, thinking we are weak minded, cowards.

I do not imagine what the world would be like without gods, because you don't have to imagine that: there ARE no gods! It is the believers here doing all the “what if”s!

Do you seriously think that prior to the big tablets being received by Moses, the Hebrews thought it was fine to kill or steal?

Judeo-christian mythology has only existed for about 5% of the total time humans have occupied the planet. How on earth do you think we made it up to that point if we did not already have a successful moral code in place?

I do dispute people's ideas when I disagree with them, just as I expect my ideas to be criticised in turn. It would be a mistake for anyone to take any of that personally.

Where did I say I think you are a coward? I think many people posting here have low standards for what they are prepared to believe. I like to think I have high standards: I wont believe just anything. Convince me with unambiguous evidence and I will stay convinced. Can you do that?

    Hi Stuart,

    You present a false argument.

How long of a time in history have we had “nuklier bombs(Pres.Bush43)”?

How on Earth can we possibly exist “now” without a moral code?
The 10 commandments was delivered to us by “YHVH”=63; the God of “The Bible”=63.

We don't exist without a moral code. I exist very well without your religious moral code, and I would suggest that the actual moral code you live by has only a fleeting relationship with scriptural laws, and has far more to do with your evolutionary heritage.

    stuart,

how is the air up there, tends to get denser, delusions occur

your right stuart, it is easy to find our codes. your code has really never been brought up

so when your closer to some oxygen, why don't you share with the class

I do not require false promises of eternity, lies about there being things morally wrong with me when I was born and the nasty business of accepting for my own personal benefit a man being murdered by the Romans.

My codes are not perfect. They are a work in progress, and part of that is their refinement by learning, discussion with others and application of principles that I think are actually foreign to christian scripture (although most christians would probably share my codes even though they might not understand why they follow them – it has little to do with any Imaginary Sky Friends).

How is the air up where you are?

    Stuart
