Quote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 25 2007,02:33) Hi charity,
Will you also be the judge of their honesty?
Would you have listened to Elisha and bathed seven times?2Kings 5
13And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?14Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
15And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.

Behold one of two motives of which I have no desire towards entertaining.I pray God would never allow me to close my eyes on striving to understand
Where there’s growth there’s more growth yetIn a sky full of stars theirs always one to search out
And during that time I'll judge and search my own heartWhether I bathed myself or not put my son on alter to be sacrificed
Can I hear the words as Abraham DID
stop theirs not need now your hearts PERFECT before God
Or will I still continue on and deliver up a Sons soul
FULLY Thinking sacrifice shall bring me close to GodGal 3:19 ¶ Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Gal 3:20 Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is one.
Gal 3:21 [Is] the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. To reach Christ and the law has served its purpose, faith their after, who should forbid transformation of position to annul the justified, surly not my pick?
Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Who shall judge who is and who isn't.?

Object of hate carried over generations concerning the fathers and prophets rewards of faithfulness.
Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. We are yet to be born, but their( Fathers propets old creation) judgment has begun, and we are judged acording to our hearts towards them?
Psa 9:8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
Jhn 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
Jhn 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
Jhn 16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Jhn 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
1Jo 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.charity

Both new and old appears in the final structure.
Rev 21
“10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”

Rom 9
“13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.14What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

It is my belief that far more will find salvation through the loving mercy of God than by following the way.
But we are urged to ensure our election.March 26, 2007 at 8:22 am#46192davidParticipantQuote I would have to disagree with that quote you have there by Archibald?? It was the Jews that were the principal victims for religious reasons I believe.
“…the definition of the Holocaust, defining it as the genocide of the Jews, or what the Nazis called the “Final Solution of the Jewish Question””
Hi Phoenix. I don't think you read the actual quote you're speaking of:
“The principal victims of RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION in the United States in the twentieth century were the Jehovah’s Witnesses.”
–The Court and the Constitution, by Archibald Cox (1987)
(BOLD and caps added)There's no question that the Jews were pesecuted during the Nazi Regime. They were by far the biggest of several groups that were targeted by this regime.
I was simply pointing out to Is 1:18 (someone I think lives in the states) that JW's were and have been persecuted. We have also gone to the supreme court there dozens of times, bringing all kinds of freedoms to that land, because the government kept trying to suppress our preaching work (Mat 24:14)
It's interesting that in Nazi Germany concentration camps, JW's were the only ones that could leave at any time. All they had to do was sign a piece of paper renouncing their faith and showing their subjection to Hitler. As a group, JW's stood firm against Hitler in a way that no other group did.Quote The JW's were only executed because they refused to participate in any of the NAZI regime. Jews were executed because they were… just Jews. They were destined to die anyway. They never got a choice. JW's did.
My point exactly. JW's would rather die than kill their brothers in other lands or “heil” a human government.
They look only to God's kingdom as the solution to mankinds problems and they loyally support this govenement despite anything thrown their way.March 26, 2007 at 8:29 am#46194Is 1:18ParticipantI don't think you live in the States David…what makes you think that “Eh”?

April 1, 2007 at 5:26 am#46967davidParticipantQuote David, if you think the Watchtower are genuinely persecuted, you need to get some perspective. Read up on the christians in China, for example, who are tortured, imprisoned and die for their faith in Jesus. What WT has ever died for their faith in Jesus? –Is 1:18
Quote Christians have theological differences with the Watchtower adherents David – but this is not persecution. –Is 1:18
I would suggest before studying up on China, you first figure out the history of your own country Is 1:18.
“The principal victims of religious persecution in the United States in the twentieth century were the Jehovah’s Witnesses.”
–The Court and the Constitution, by Archibald Cox (1987)Any idea how many times we've gone to the supreme court in the U.S. If you study law, you must study some of the cases of JW's, as we have gained some freedoms for you Is 1:18 “in the defending and legally establishing of the good news.” (Phil 1:7)
I'm uncertain how you have defended and legally established the good news in your land?In the last days, certain things would be happening:
(Luke 21:12-13) ““But before all these things people will lay their hands upon YOU and persecute YOU, delivering YOU up to the synagogues and prisons, YOU being haled before kings and governors for the sake of my name. 13 It will turn out to YOU for a witness.”If I remember correctly there are about 26 countries that do not recognize the religion of JW's. China is one of them.
Is 1:18, do you think that we preach in China? I know that China is extremely intolerant to unrecognized religions. JW's know this far better than you do Is 1:18. I mean, really?Quote What WT has ever died for their faith in Jesus?
The very word “witness” in Greek is something like martyr or at least comes from the same root word that the word martyr comes from. And for those with a little knowledge, it is a name that fits Jehovah's Witnesses in more than one way.I say these words back to you Is 1:18:
“you need to get some perspective.”
Of course, where you live now, presently, you won't find JW's being jailed and killed, or tortured or anything like that. You won't even find them being imprisoned anymore. But it took about 50 Supreme Court cases, most of which by far, we won. Your welcome on that by the way. You now have freedom's you take for granted because of the lives of and persecutions of JW's.
We tend to take freedom for granted when we live in such countries. One second, you are free to talk to others about the Bible, thinking there is no way the government could take away that freedom. Then the world goes to war and suddenly it's illegal to be a JW in Canada (a very liberal country). It's suddenly illegal to go from door to door or even to meet together for worship. Things change very quickly. JW's have learned this.
