For Nick,
Sabbath and the law of love…
Honoring the Sabbath of YHWH shows Him that we worship Him who made the heavens and the earth. It is a sign between Him and us who keep it that we are His. Also it is His way of loving us. He gives us a day to rest every week so we can be renewed, in mind, body and Spirit.July 12, 2007 at 1:31 am#59264kenrchParticipantIf we have love for one another then we have love for God for God is love
1Jo 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
If we love we produce fruit of that love. If you love someone we do the things that pleases the person we Love. This is the fruit of that love.
IHL,
Ken
July 12, 2007 at 4:49 am#59282LaurelParticipantKen thanks I sometimes forget to use qoutes. It is clear to me that the first four commandments are how we show our love to Elohim, and the last six are how we show our love for one another. YHWH covered everything in His perfect law.
Check out these verses, they show us how to love ourselves:
Jos.23:11
Isa. 48:14
Romans 12:19
1 Th. 4:9
1 Th. 15:3
Jud 1:20
Jud 1:21
Notice 7 total that all contain the words love and yourselves. The only ones in the KJV. You'll be suprised when you read them.July 13, 2007 at 1:48 am#59414NickHassanParticipantQuote (Laurel @ July 06 2007,06:00) Y'shua Messiah was sent here among us by or Father in heaven to be a giude, a light, and show us the path that leads to personal salvation.
Y'shua Messiah was a man who lived a righteous life, and the only man who did so.
Because He lived this way, unto His death, He was resurrected from the dead and now sits at the right hand of His Father.
He came not to change the law but to show us full understanding of it, or in other words to fulfill it.
The law has not passed according to the Messiah in Matt. 5:18.
Because I guard the commands myself, I can say with great confidence that we all need to obey His commands. Not as slaves, but as free servants, faithfully volunteering ourselves for the purpose of glorifying the Father, and the Son, and the power of His Spirit.
Hi Laurel,
Jesus said we MUST be born again.
You seem to suggest all we have to do is obey the OT LAWS.
IS THAT WHAT YOU MEAN?
I think we should rather obey the one who is truth, Jesus.July 13, 2007 at 4:07 am#59430LaurelParticipantNick,
I will not respond to any more of your nonsense. I knoe you read my posts in other places, so quit trying to making me look like a Pharisee.July 13, 2007 at 4:10 am#59431LaurelParticipantNick reads with eyes open, but the mind is closed. Reread whay I wrote and you amy see the word Spirit in there somewhere next to the word Messiah. You annoy me Nick. Are you happy now?
July 13, 2007 at 4:19 am#59433NickHassanParticipantHi L,
Sorry but I do not understsnd how asking for clarifications should upset anyone.
Surely we do not want misconceptions to cause confusion?July 13, 2007 at 4:25 am#59436LaurelParticipantBecause you ask when the answer to your question is right before your eyes.
July 13, 2007 at 4:31 am#59437NickHassanParticipantHi L,
So what does rebirth of water and the Spirit mean to you?Jn3
“3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. “
July 14, 2007 at 8:36 pm#59730LaurelParticipantNick,
Baptism with water is an outward sign of an inward transformation. When an individual chooses to “cross over” in faith to follow Elohim. Just as Abraham crossed over the river from Babylon into the place unknown where he followed Elohim. We become obediant to the Father.
Circumcision of the “heart” takes place. Our flesh dies to the lusts of the world, and we seek the riches that can only come through belief in the Messiah, through the Set-apart Spirit.
We who have made this covenant with our Father in heaven, are blessed with blessings greater than gold. We become heirs of the promise, the same promise YHWH gave to Abraham.
Our reward is everlasting life.July 14, 2007 at 10:09 pm#59749NickHassanParticipantHi L,
You say
“Baptism with water is an outward sign of an inward transformation.”Straight out of the catholic catechism.
Magical sacraments at work.
But does it agree with scripture?1Peter 3
” 21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: “An appeal.
requires understanding of our sinful state
And a repentant aheart pleading for forgiveness.Acts 22
' 16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. 'July 14, 2007 at 10:17 pm#59753LaurelParticipantNick,
Why I ask again do you question, the things I speak of that come srtaight from the Spirit of truth?Read the entire post rather than taking numbered sound bites. like the heathen do, that keep repeating and repeating…
I said the outward sign of an inward change. All you are doing is ignoring how the inward change takes place.
YES, to have this inward change we see that by the law we are guilty, we REPENT, we then follow the law that was made clear, so that we sin no more the thing we know is sin. We turn over a new leaf, we cross the river, we cross the sea, we are baptized into a new and Spiritual way that leads to righteiosness, by faith. We leave the ways of man and spiritual Babylon, and walk in the way of the Messiah, and Spiritual Truth.
July 14, 2007 at 10:32 pm#59765NickHassanParticipantHi L,
When you are reborn from above are you not washed internally and made as white as wool?
Are you still burdened by sin or is it forgiven?
The gospel of Christ is a gospel of FORGIVENESS.
Lk 24
“46And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:47And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
Acts 2
“38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. “July 14, 2007 at 11:04 pm#59783LaurelParticipantYes, when born again our robes are washed white and free from sin, the Spirit can not dwell in a place of sin.
If we sin on purpose after we have received that knowledge, then there is no more forgiveness of sin. We fall under judgement.
July 14, 2007 at 11:06 pm#59785LaurelParticipantNick,
You claim to know many things. So let me ask, on which day of the week was Messiah resurected from the dead?July 14, 2007 at 11:34 pm#59794NickHassanParticipantQuote (Laurel @ July 15 2007,11:04) Yes, when born again our robes are washed white and free from sin, the Spirit can not dwell in a place of sin. Hi L,
Not so.
We all still sin.
We who have been washed all over still need to wash our feet.Jn 13
” 4He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.5After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
6Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
7Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
8Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
9Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
11For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
12So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. “
We have a mediator, an advocate who works on our behalf with God.
5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
July 14, 2007 at 11:44 pm#59798LaurelParticipantHeb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith, he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Not, so hey? You argue with the One who inspired the book. You have no argument with me, for what I speak comes from the Word and the Spirit of Truth.
July 14, 2007 at 11:53 pm#59802NickHassanParticipantHi L,
You think to sin is to trample underfoot the gospel?
Then how do you understand 1 Jn1?
Ther are sins and sins.Jas 5
” 13Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. “
1 John 5:16
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.1Cor 10
1Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;2And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
14Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
15I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
July 15, 2007 at 4:21 am#59836NickHassanParticipantHi L,
If Christians never sin
why is it that the daily prayer Christ gave us
asks for forgiveness?Mt 6
” 9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

The gospel message is what Y’shua Messiah (Jesus) proclaimed while He walked the earth. The gospel message will be proclaimed throughout the entire earth by His followers before the Last Great Day. The gospel message contains three main parts.
1.Fear Elohim. Elohim is plural and includes the Father YHWH, the Son Y’shua Messiah who are One in the mighty power of His Spirit. This type of fear is not the fear of death, but rather a great respect for Him, His creation and His ability to give us eternal life in heaven, and on the new earth. These Words are found in the 10 commandments. To deny the Spirit is absolute death. Matt. 10:33 Rom. 1:4, Rom. 8:12-17
2.Worship Him who made the heavens and the earth. These Words are also found in the 4th of His great 10 Commandments. Ex. 20:8-11
3.The hour of His judgment is come. We can say we must be ready for the coming of Messiah as Judge and King at any given moment. To be ready at all times let us keep these 2 great commands in our forethoughts and our hearts at all times.
1.Love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart, and all your mind, and all your soul.Ex.20:3,Deut 6:1-9,Matt. 22:37
2.Love your neighbor as yourself is like the second found in Ex. 20:4-6. This is the whole duty of man in a nutshell. Mark 12:31 , Ecc. 12:13
