Hi,
I think this matter deserves a forum of it's own. We are told in Gen 6 that
” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came into the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown”
The sons of God also are shown in Job 1,2,38 and Satan is among them. I believe Michael and Gabriel and the other princes as shown in Daniel may have been among them and perhaps too the prince of peace, the Son of God?David slew Goliath and there are a few other references to the descendants of the Nephilim. My feeling is that their great strength and large stature gave them huge physical advantages but they do not seem to necessarily have matched intellects. War seemed to be the role where their special talents were admired most. I see no reason to disbelieve that their genes are still able to be traced among mankind.
Today those of large stature are admired for their sporting prowess. Sport plays a huge role in the interests of men and generally a big strong man will be able to defeat a smaller strong man. Perhaps love of sport is idolatry of man to some, and even thence the idolatry of angelic influence? Could it be that some influence of the Nephilim is still here?
October 20, 2005 at 11:12 pm#9705AnonymousGuestAbout thier intellect, i would not not underestimate it. Remember their fathers were angels whom in the book of Enoch reveals that they introduced technologies, both in the sciences and in the realm of magic[the paranormal].
October 20, 2005 at 11:21 pm#9706NickHassanParticipantHi soxan, Yes true.
According to Enoch they introduced mining too, but also they largely wiped themslves out through foolish destrucive battles between themselves.Their introduction of magic and feminine seductive ways with makeup etc continually seduced men away from the simple ways of righteousness into unrighteousness. Their arrival coincides with the shortening of the days of men showing their evil influence.
But some may not regard the quoting of Enoch as being appropriate in biblical forums and I respect that view.

Sorry soxan,
But I do not study old paintings for hidden 'proofs' of such things. Neither do I accept that other writings apart frrom Enoch should be taken literally as equivalent to scripture.
There are many who have made such claims before about flying saucers and astral travel here but to me they are only speculations and of interest to the world rather than serious bible students.
Satan is a deceiver who loves to distract us our minds with intellectual fantasies.October 20, 2005 at 11:59 pm#9709AnonymousGuestSo when we study the bible are we to disregard what lays before us in the fields of the sciences like archeology and so forth? Yes, speculate and then you add and subract for natural deductions. Paintings are part of history, so you can say i`m using history, but the artists interpretation is what needs to be investigated. Even from legend we christians take to eloborate on biblical events,no? Yes we do. If i as a christian see a ufo and report it as such, is my testimony to be disregarded becauce its not in the bible? follow my logic?
October 21, 2005 at 12:08 am#9710NickHassanParticipantHi soxan,
I am not saying these things are true or untrue. They are just not as reliable a source of truth, in comparison with biblical revelation. History and archeology and astronomy are all helpful things but only by reference to the truth are they true.Scripture is historical fact.
Scripture speaks of heavenly bodies and star groupings such as Pleides and Orion.
Scripture can be shown to be true by archeology. But many scientists have fallen in love with their own intellectual understandings and think their discoveries prove them to be clever, instead of revealing the fantastic designs of the Creator.
October 21, 2005 at 12:18 am#9711AnonymousGuestYes, but were talking about Nephilim and their ancient technologies, which we know they had and science diregards these facts because it doens`t fit into their relgious veiws! For an example take a look; Holy smoke!
October 21, 2005 at 12:22 am#9712AnonymousGuestNeohilim pics, real ones not paintngs Say cheese mr. giant
October 21, 2005 at 12:28 am#9713AnonymousGuestProof! that the ancients were highly advanced, bible or no bible Technology
October 21, 2005 at 12:28 am#9714NickHassanParticipantHi sosan,
All the evidence in the world does not constitute proof. Many have found bucketloads of scriptural texts they feel prove a trinity but finish up the most basic truths including denying the Father and the Son.
What do you make of”the waters under the earth” or the “fountains of the great deep ” in Genesis 7?October 21, 2005 at 12:46 am#9715AnonymousGuestYour getting away from the evidence. Why? Do you want to walk around with your eyes closed, and how does this relate to salvation? It doesn`t! Now you want to talk about the doctrine of the Trinity? Okay! lets go; How do you understand the Three Persons of the Godhead?
October 21, 2005 at 12:48 am#9716AnonymousGuest“All the evidence in the world does not constitute proof” huh? Nick do you want to revise your statement?

Hi s,
Feel free to explain the trinity for us in that particular forum and there is a forum on the godhead I think in “general questions”and there also several on salvation we can dialogue in.October 21, 2005 at 1:40 am#9718NickHassanParticipantQuote (soxan @ Oct. 21 2005,01:48) “All the evidence in the world does not constitute proof” huh? Hi s,
Not at all. The Word is truth as defined by Jesus in John 17.17 Everything compared with that is only relative. Can you always, always trust your eyes and ears?
In every court of law the world round at this moment there are people giving evidence of what the hear, see and know from two opposite points of view.
But we digress.
Tell us more about the Nephilim.October 21, 2005 at 2:46 am#9725AnonymousGuestYour going around in circles. Facts substantiate the Word! How are the facts i have presented in these links done otherwise? They haven`t unless its a man made doctrine thats being attacked unbenownced to me. Is that what has you tied up in a knot? Whats this man made doctrine thats bothering you. Come, let us reason together, as the scripture says.
October 21, 2005 at 3:04 am#9727NickHassanParticipantHi soxan,
Are you able to substantiate the information in the links from scripture as well? I do not think so. In which case you are welcome to believe these or other things but do not expect that people here will treat them with the same awe as scripture itself.October 21, 2005 at 3:51 am#9730AnonymousGuestNick baby, come on. Don`t play this game with me. I`m weary now. Nnnick, i`m saying that the facts in these links are proving the Word of God! Just when i thought i was getting a handle on you. Oh! well.
October 21, 2005 at 3:53 am#9731NickHassanParticipantHey soxan,
They are just a little off the planet for us guys with limited imaginations. Are you disappointed in us? Is agreement with you essential to maintaining a dialogue?October 21, 2005 at 3:56 am#9733AnonymousGuestNick, to say your reasoning in debate is faulty would be an understatement. Your Borderline Elyiha in your debates. Just calling it as i see it. You no doubt will deny this, of course! You limit your self, to bad. Your loss!
