What is the identity of Mystery Babylon the Mother of Harlots.

Traditionally I have understood Babylon in Revelation to be The Vatican (RCC).
The guy in this video believed that too, but he believes it is the USA for the reasons he states in the video.t8

WJI have to disagree with you ,because you do not explain my scriptures I presented ,and so it is only your opinion ,
I do agree that any one that break's away from the truth of God his already in a confused world ,so Satan according to scriptures would be the very first cast into that confusion .

It is too late to add another option now.So you say it is Satan.
That means that Satan rides on the back of the Beast, whereas I would have thought that the Beast came from Satan.
I tried to add “None of the above” as an option in the poll, but for some reason it would not stay at the bottom of the list, so I just removed it after a few tries and created a new poll, hence why that option is not there.
Also, I should have put in “European Union”, but I guess that people who beleive that can vote “Roman Empire” as they tend to think Europe is the revived Roman Empire. Although the woman is usually seen as something else that is supported by this beast because she rides on the beast.

Yes that is how I have traditionally seen this.
I also include the Trinity as a doctrine of Babylon. It is confusing to all, and Babylon has their own Trinity.And original Babylon was judged for her idols if I remember rightly, and not her commerce and other exploits.

The USA has stood out to me sometimes.
I was teaching in Colombia once and picked up a text book and there was a section about the USA and how it was likened to Babylon, where all races and people were represented and where both had great trade. Sometimes it seems obvious to me that it must be the USA, but then it also seems pretty obvious that it is Rome or even Christendom itself.
Babylon had 2 sides to it. The religious side and the commerce side. God judged Babylon for her religion and idols, leading me to the religious view of Babylon. Especially with descriptions of being clothed in purple and holding a golden cup in her hand. But if Babylon the Great was referring to an economic power that collapsed in one day either by attack or financial ruin, then I would guess it to be the USA. When it talks about trading boats mourning her destruction because of her trade, I think of the USA. Although New York could fit that description too.
This is why Babylon confuses me somewhat. Ironic I know. But there seems to be 2 horses in the front of that race and for different reasons.
the other reason that I came to the conclusion that it was Satan ,his that the beast he (the women )rides , the scarlet beast ;his ,then his not ,then comes again

because the mother of harlots is sitting on the scarlet coloured beast,with the seven heads and ten horns.The roman church is not, in the days of the first head (egypt)and the second head(syria), and the third head(babylon), and the fourth head(medo persia),and the fifth head (greecia),and the sixth head(rome),untill king constatine ruled.The roman church only started in the yr 330 ad.
The mother of harlots has daughters; and they are all kinds of religions,since the beginning of mans kingdom.(egypt).
Since the gospel has been preached,the christian churches has become the daughters of babylon,in the name of christianity. One can not tell the difference between a christian and a non christian IN DEEDS;accept the christians go to church, and the non christians go to the horse race or the pub.

The love of money is the root of all evil.This world does not consider God to be worshipped,but the power of wealth,and greed is the motive,and oppression.
Oppressing the poor,grinding their faces in the dirt.

Many christians also seem to worship God ,but still have the spirit of babylon. The spirit of the world is still in them.They have not yet received the renewing of the mind.
