Last fall I decided for some strange reason I was bored/dissatisfied with christianity. I don't really have a logical reason for this…maybe I thought God seemed too distant at the time, I don't know. Anyway, I was having anxiety issues and decided to meditate to an old CD left over from my prechristian days that had me do “chakra” breathing. The CD did its job & not much happened during the meditation but that night before I went to sleep I closed my eyes and noticed figures moving around in my mind's eye. I tried to focus in on these shadowy figures and I seemed to be floating up a dark tunnel & the 3 beings appeared to alternately be pacing around the top of the tunnel and peering down at me. As I came closer I noticed that all 3 of them had 2 tiny horns on their heads & I immediately wanted out of that place! I prayed for God's help & forgiveness and instantly all I saw were multi-colored lights around me, like fireworks, and I just KNEW I was under God's protection once more. Haven't been “bored” with God since (no more meditating either!)
About 5 months later, early this spring, I was watching a lesser known christian tv show while drinking my morning coffee. Suddenly a dark silhouette of a dove with a branch in its beak, just like what we see on christmas cards, took up the whole TV screen. I thought “someone messed up the graphics on this low budget show.” Imagine my surprise when the silhouette came directly out of the screen a hung there, like a 3D image. I looked down at my coffee cup and thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I looked up again and the image had moved to the right of the screen and was just floating there. Finally I said out loud “God?!?” It instantly disappeared and this feeling I can only describe as a perfect peace washed over me and stayed with me for about 20 minutes. If God had told me to do anything at that time, I'd have done it. There was no room for fear in such a feeling. I've had much less anxiety since then.July 9, 2007 at 7:36 pm#58937acertainchapParticipantWow. Seems like you had quite an experience. Don't get into those meditative practices; evil spirits lurk within them.
Seriously a dove in 3D jumping out at you?

As soon as I said something it disappeared & the feeling rushed over me. I was never frightened in the least, more curious than anything. I'd been praying to actually see an angel for the longest time, and I think God took it up a notch & let me see the Holy Spirit! I'm still quite dazzled. No more being bored with God for me!

Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
I'm the latter!
