2nd Thess 2
[1] 'Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet him, we beg you, brethren,
not to be quickly shaken in mind or excited, either by spirit or by word, or by letter purporting to be from us,
to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.'What is the Day of the Lord.
There is only one Day of the Lord to come, and this is the end and the beginning of eternity.[3] 'Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first,
and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition,
who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship,
so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.'What is the temple of God? Is it a Temple of stone which is soon to come, in that place in the Middle East called Jerusalem? Did Paul call the temple a temple of Stone? No! He explained quite a few times that the Temple is now, The Body.
[5] 'Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you this?
And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time.'What restrains sin? What convicts us of our sin? The Holy Spirit.
Where IS the Holy Spirit, or where WAS the Holy Spirit? In Christians, In the Church.[7] 'For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way.
And then the lawless one will be revealed,
and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by his appearing and his coming.'All lawless men will be destroyed at Christs coming.
[9] 'The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders,
and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish…'Pretending signs and wonders. This can be seen now on Kundalini Warning Andrew Strom, and even on Internet Forums. Where else is this? And how bad will it get?
[10] '…because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false,
so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.'God knows the hearts, and searches every one of us. You may be able to fool people, but you cannot fool God.
[13] 'But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord,
because God chose you from the beginning to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.
To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter.
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,
comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.'Much more to say about this, but that will do.
More to come….

[5] They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago, and an earth formed out of water and by means of water, through which the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.
But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist have been stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.The day will come burning like an oven and everything will be burnt up. This is the day that is soon to come, it is the day of judgment, the end.
[8]But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Why is this and what does it mean….let us see….
[9] The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
Straight forward and straight to the point. How could you misunderstand this.
This is the day of salvation. The time between Jesus' first coming and his return, the end.[10] But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up.
This is the same day again. Peter had to repeat it.
[11]Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,
[12] waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire. What Day are they waiting for? There Peter is repeating a third time.
[13] But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Waiting for the promise, the new heavens and the new earth.
[14] Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.
[15] And count the forbearance of our Lord as salvation. So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,
[16] speaking of this as he does in all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures.
[17] You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, beware lest you be carried away with the error of lawless men and lose your own stability.
[18] But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.Until the Day of Eternity. (Not a thousand years).

[1] Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple.
[2] But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down.”
[3] As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?“
[4] And Jesus answered them, “Take heed that no one leads you astray.
[5] For many will come in my name, saying, `I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray.
[6] And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
[7] For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places:
[8] all this is but the beginning of the birth-pangs.
[9] “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.
[10] And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another.
[11] And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.
[12] And because wickedness is multiplied, most men's love will grow cold.
[13] But he who endures to the end will be saved.
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come.Next, Jesus switches to Jerusalem, however it has a double meaning I believe because it could also mean the last days (the end of the world)… Therefore “Let “the reader” understand…
[15] “So when you see the desolating sacrilege spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand)…
So, Jerusalem in 70Ad, and also today — the man of sin — 2nd Thess 2…. The temple being the Body…
[16] ….then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;
[17] let him who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house;
[18] and let him who is in the field not turn back to take his mantle.
[19] And alas for those who are with child and for those who give suck in those days.
[20] Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a sabbath.
[21] For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
[22] And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would be saved……Saved, as in saved from eternal death. The Flesh profits nothing.
….. but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
Time will speed up, otherwise the elect could be deceived as it is a spiritual battle, (a false happiness).
[23] Then if any one says to you, `Lo, here is the Christ!' or `There he is!' do not believe it.
Do not believe it! Lo, you are warned beforehand.
The whole world 'Wonders' after the Beast, it says.
Have you ever wondered what it means to wonder?
When the Son of God comes, there will be no need to wonder.[24] For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
[25] Lo, I have told you beforehand.
[26] So, if they say to you, `Lo, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out; if they say, `Lo, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.
[27] For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man. There it is again, as plain as day. The Son of Man comes in flaming fire.
[28] Wherever the body (carcass) is, there the eagles (vultures) will be gathered together.
Revelations 20:17 – Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly in midheaven, “Come, gather for the great supper of God
Back to Matthew:
[29] “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
The Sun and the Moon (Jesus, the Spirit, truth and the people) will be darkened and will not give their light and the heavens will be shaken.
[30] then will appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory….
The world will mourn because they will not know what to do. It will be too late. Just like with Noah and the flood.
[31]…. and he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
There is more to that, but i will not be posting it here.
[32] “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near.
[33] So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.
[34] Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all these things take place.Double meaning. That generation and this generation. Jerusalem 70Ad and now.
[35] Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
[36] “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
[37] As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
[38] For as in those days before the flood
they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark,
[39] and they did not know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
[40] Then two men will be in the field; one is taken and one is left.
[41] Two women will be grinding at the mill; one is taken and one is left.As in the days of Noah when the flood came and took them all away so shall it be. (What took WHO Away?)
[42] Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
[43] But know this, that if the householder had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into.
[44] Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.A lot to say about that but I will not.
[45] “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?
[46] Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing.
[47] Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.
[48] But if that wicked servant says to himself, `My master is delayed,'
[49] and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eats and drinks with the drunken,
[50] the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know,*reason for late edit: Bolded the wrong words.

What does it say in Scripture?Luke 11:47-52 Woe to you! for you build the sepulchers of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. Truly you bear witness that you allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and you build their sepulchers. Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: That the blood of all of the Prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; From the blood of Abel to the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: truly I say to you, it shall be required of this generation.
Matthew 23:35 That on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom you slew between the temple and the altar. Truly I say to you, All these things shall come on this generation. O JERUSALEM, JERUSALEM, you that kill the prophets, and stone them which are sent to you.
Revelations 17:5
And on her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.Revelation 18:10 -24

- The Ten Commandments.
Deut 5:
LOVE OF GOD
“‘I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt—from the house of slavery.
“‘You are to have no other gods besides me.
“You are not to make for yourselves a carved image resembling any form in the heavens above, on earth below, or in the waters under the earth.
You are not to bow down to them in worship or serve them, because I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the iniquity of their parents to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing gracious love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.
“‘You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, because the LORD will not leave the one who misuses his name unpunished.
“‘You are to keep the Sabbath day holy, just as the LORD your God commanded. Six days you are to labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath for the LORD your God. You are not to do any work—neither you, your children, your male and female servants, your oxen and donkeys, nor any of your livestock—as well as any of the foreigners who live among you, so that your male and female servants may rest as you do. You are to remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, but the LORD your God brought you out from there with great power and a show of force. Therefore, the LORD your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.
LOVE OF NEIGHBOR
“‘You are to honor your father and your mother, just as the LORD your God commanded you, so that your life will be long and things will go well for you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
“‘You are not to murder.
“‘You are not to commit adultery.
“‘You are not to steal.
“‘You are not to testify falsely against your neighbor.
“‘You are not to desire your neighbor’s wife nor covet your neighbor’s house,p his fields, his male and female servants, his ox, his donkey, nor anything that concerns your neighbor.’”
Mark 12:28-34
‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord, and you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
Then the scribe told him, “Well said, Teacher! You have told the truth that ‘God is one, and there is no other besides him.’ To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
When Jesus saw how wisely the man answered, he told him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”Old Testament.
Deut 11:13-22
“And if you will indeed obey my commandments that I command you today, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, he will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the Later Rain, that you may gather in your Grain and your Wine and your Oil. And he will give grass in your fields for your livestock, and you shall eat and be full. Take care lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them; then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and he will shut up the heavens, so that there will be no rain, and the land will yield no fruit, and you will perish quickly off the good land that the Lord is giving you.“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them As a sign on your Hand, and they shall be as frontlets Between your Eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth. For if you will be careful to do all this commandment that I command you to do, loving the Lord your God, walking in all his ways, and holding fast to him, then the Lord will drive out all these nations before you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.
Deut 6:
“ And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a Sign on your Hand, and they shall be as frontlets Between your Eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.New Testament

April 11, 2013 at 9:54 pm#3415982beseeParticipantHere are some points from an Audio on Amillenialism, which I think are significant:
Pastor Jim Gables:
http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=63011831190
(Quote)….”Your position says that only in the 20th chapter of the book of Revelation does it allow for the time period for the unfulfilled prophecies of a golden age as foretold by the old testament prophets to be fulfilled. In other words, your position says that we only have a Revelation 20 to get all these prophecies fulfilled in, and we object to you and your position because your position doesn't allow for all these prophecies to be fulfilled, and thus the only place left to fit all these in is in Revelation 20.
But there are glaring omissions occurring in the 20th chapter of the book of Revelation, which many people assume will be there.
For example, omission number one, that is not found – Jerusalem and Palestine are not mentioned in the chapter, and yet multitudes of people just assume that Jerusalem and Palestine are found in the 20th chapter of Revelation. No mention.
Omission number two – The Jews are not mentioned. Neither is anything said about their restoration to the land. Their conversion, or any of their activities – none of that is found in the 20th chapter.
Omission number three – An earthly throne is not found in this chapter. Where is it? It's not there. There are thrones in heaven that are mentioned on which martyrs are reigning with Christ, and the location of the great white throne is not given or identified. Thrones in heaven, a great white throne of judgment, but no earthly throne is mentioned in the 20th chapter of Revelation. Wouldn't you think it should be there? But it isn't.
The 4th glaring omission that you assume is there or would have us believe is there – There's not a word about universal peace occurring in this chapter.
The 5th omission – There is no mention to abundant prosperity occurring in this chapter.
The 6th glaring omission – The productivity of the earth is not mentioned in this 20th chapter.
And the 7th omission – There is nothing about longevity of life in this chapter.
Now these are all statements that are found in the old testament prophecies. So you say “This has all got to occur in the 20th chapter – this is not occurring now, it is not occurring in the eternal state of affairs, it's got to occur in Revelation 20. But when we come to Revelation 20, all of these things are omitted. I ask then if these omissions are not significant? Especially as we cannot find them taught by other new testament writers.
Where would we find any of these descriptions? We got to go back to the old testament. But no new testament writer gives us these reaffirmations. Don't you think that's significant?”… (Unquote)

I can see that we are both fiery personality types, so lets try to rise above if we can yes?
Lets drop all the back and forth accusations can we?You started it not me, but YES THAT WOULD BE GOOD!!
Quote
Yes I agree Jesus is in heaven, but i'm not sure who you mean by “His saints”?
If you mean the Apostles, I would agree because of certain scriptures which reveal this, but if you mean believers in general I would have to disagree because of scriptures like this one:1 Corinthians 15:51-52 >Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
So the dead do not get resurrected until this event takes place…it says ALL get changed (resurrected) at His 2nd coming, so then, it is impossible for any other saints to be in heaven atm except the Apostles who are a type of firstfruits, Paul could not be any clearer on this matter.
Also it says the dead will be raised incorruptible, meaning that they are ACCEPTED by Christ, therefore they MUST be Christians who have died since Christs first coming into the world…and since they are DEAD, then they in no wise can be in heaven with Jesus…because they were DEAD.Jesus said:
Jesus the Resurrection and the Life
17 When Jesus arrived, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. 18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia away, 19 and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them about their brother. 20 As soon as Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, while Mary stayed at home.
21 Martha told Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever you ask of God, he will give it to you.”
23 Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha told him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.”
25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The person who believes in me, even though he dies, will live. 26 Indeed, everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe that?”
27 “Yes, Lord,” she told him. “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who was to come into the world.”
Do you believe that?

April 13, 2013 at 12:51 pm#3417652beseeParticipantPaul said “To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord.”
(The separation of the Body and the Spirit)
1Cor15:21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him
Jesus was the first to be resurrect (firstfruit), and so it will be for all of those who belong to Him.
What happens to a man when they die?
Ecc 12:7 “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
So add onto that what Jesus said,
“I am the resurrection and the life. The person who believes in me, even though he dies, will live. 26 Indeed, everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe that?”
April 13, 2013 at 1:22 pm#3417672beseeParticipant2Cor.12 1 I must boast, although it does not do any good. Let’s talk about visions and revelations from the Lord. 2 I know a man who belongs to the Messiah. Fourteen years ago—whether in his body or outside of his body, I do not know, but God knows—that man was snatched away to the third heaven. 3 I know that this man—whether in his body or outside of his body, I do not know, but God knows— 4 was snatched away to Paradise and heard things that cannot be expressed in words, things that no human being has a right even to mention.
**BTW, the state of the dead in Heaven is a different topic than what is to come which is the uniting of the Spirit with the Body resurrected, which is still to come.
**Late edit – Added the line above.
April 14, 2013 at 2:21 am#3417972beseeParticipantQuote 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 >And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. This is not saying that Satan still had full reign.
“For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Hebrews 2:14.
Satan was BOUND..(Limited)
“How can someone enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.” Matthew 12:29.”
Quote As you'd know, The light came into the world with Jesus' first coming.
Thus, for Satan to be showing himself as an angel of light, he is therefore imitating that very same light…that is, Christ…Christianity…It dies not say that Satan was still transforming Himself into an Angel of light but it is comparing that which Satan could do with that which his ministers could do, also.
Quote If Satan were locked up, it would be pointless to masquerade as an angel of light, to pretend to be of Christ.
Who would he be hoping to trick?
Christ's Angels?
God?
Who else could he be masquerading for?
He'd be helpless in prison…otherwise, what's the point of prison if it fails to stop him from influencing those on the outsideFirstly: Why do you fear, as Jude says, things that you know nothing about?
Fear God.
Secondly: For all of your opinions you ar enot seeing the verse in the Bible which says that Satan had been BOUND. DO you understand what BOUND means? It means LIMITED in Power. It is not to say that Satan can not still influence people, but those who are in Christ will not be deceived, however, toward the end, or now, this is possible, because Satan is given back power to deceive again the Nations.

One only hides his identity when in the presence of those he is fooling, not when he is out of sight (locked up), so for Satan to be masquerading as an angel of light, he is obviously still loose in the world even now.A Dog on a chain can still bark and guard and cause damage, especially if on a LONG chain. However, that Dog IS limited.
Quote 1 Peter 5:8 >Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: As above.
Quote Revelation 12:17 >And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. In this chapter we learn that Satan was banished from heaven and cast to the earth.
No mention of being locked up at, instead we are told that Satan went to make war with those who keep the commandments of God.
And who keeps the commandments of God?
Well, Christians do.
And what was Satan showing himself to be again?
That's right, an angel of light…Christian!!
So Satan is warring against Christians. Not only that, but Satan went to make war…went…meaning, going forth…
but if he is locked up, exactly HOW can he go forth?
Go forth to where?
The other side of his otherwise empty cell room?
To wage war against his prison walls?
To devour his “prison cell”?
NO, Satan is free atm beyond doubt. That is now. Satan has been let lose, and he knows his time is short.
Devo, I am tired of posting on forums, and need a break. If you want to know more, then Google search “Satan was bound”.
Bye for now.

Quote 17 When Jesus arrived, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.
“I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who was to come into the world.”[/font]
Do you believe that?
Of course, just not in the way you do.
Notice Lazarus was brought back in the FLESH?
But the resurrection of the saints is the receiving of SPIRIT BODIES.
Thus Lazarus took no part in the first resurrection which is set aside for ONE future DAY…just as Martha understood, but was revived in the FLESH.
This was an example of the POWER of God in the world as a WITNESS.
Don't forget of that young girl that was brought back from the dead also.
These weren't examples of the first resurrection, but examples of Christ's POWER.Don't forget Romans 8:11, that SPIRIT which is IN us….that very Spirit will be used to raise us…
Thus, that Spirit which is given unto those who follow Christ, that Holy Spirit, it is this that Christ was speaking of, this Spirit which NEVER DIES though the flesh returns to ash.
Christ was not speaking about us going straight to heaven when we die, but of the INDWELLING Spirit that is given to His people that NEVER DIES.
And on the DAY of resurrection, that SPIRIT will be used to raise us into NEW ETERNAL SPIRIT BODIES.Devo.
