Of course it only applies to brothers.
But some may become so.May 19, 2014 at 6:27 pm#382933terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 19 2014,23:40) Hi T,

Nif they show the will and true repent in their hearts so that they works or deeds are showing their will to become in Christ yes then they are part of the babes to take care of in Gods name

There is no place in Scripture he is said to be God. That is just what you choose to conclude from what Paul states. Scripture instead states he is the high priest of God. God is the one he serves as high priest. He is not his own high priest.
Kerwin.Where did I say that He is God?
I said the Word of God.wakeup.
Wakeup,Then I misunderstood you.
You are claiming that the a being that you believe is the essence of the word of God was changed into a human being who was then named Melchizedek(Melchisedec).
I assume you conclude that from the words “without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life”.
You seem to miss the words “like unto” just like I missed the words “word of” in your own post. So we are told Melchizedek(Melchisedec) is not made the Son of God but was instead made like unto the Son of God.
He was made like unto the Son of God because Scripture does not name the day he was conceived, died, the length of his mortal years, his parents, or his offspring.
I see nowhere where Scripture declares he is the the being you speak of but I do see where it is said he is made like the Son of God.

Kerwin.Melchizedek is made like jesus which is then to come.
But he was not born of water and blood.
HE was *TRANSLATED FROM *SPIRIT* TO *FLESH*.
Meaning;he was first spirit; then flesh; not by birth.
He was the FIRST high priest of God.
And so is Jesus the FIRST high priest of God.wakeup.

May 19, 2014 at 11:06 pm#383020NickHassanParticipantHi J42,
The bible is the rock and the Spirit reveals from scripture..John 16:14
He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you..John 16:15
All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.The stuff from the mind of man is of deceit
May 19, 2014 at 11:11 pm#383025NickHassanParticipantHi J42,
Col2
2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
May 19, 2014 at 11:13 pm#383027NickHassanParticipantHi,
Eph 4
2 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
May 19, 2014 at 11:15 pm#383029NickHassanParticipantHi,
Eph 5
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Wakeup,I am not sure how to address what is not written in Scripture.
Scripture does not say either Jesus or Melchizedek is the first high priest. That would be Adam or possibly Able or Cain. They sacrificed to God long before Melchizedek appeared in Scripture.
Jesus is a high Priest in the same order as Melchizedek but Jesus is the greater as Melchizedek did not sacrifice himself for the salvation of men not was he made king of all things in heave and on earth.

THERE YOU GO;YOU ARE STILL IN NEED OF MILK.
Hebrews 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
BABES ACTING AS ADULTS.
Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
