Here is the answer for all your worries. Get saved, as the Bible tells you to do. It will be the smartest thing you ever did. Then, you will not worry about the things coming on this world, because they will not come nigh you, as the Bible says.

    <>
    King James Bible

    ——————————————————————————–
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

    9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

I'm a so-so Gospel song writer and once when I first started out, I wrote these heavy, joyless songs about the end times. :( One of the songs was “Abandon Hope” which resides in the pile of very forgettable songs I have written.

But one line in it was “There's no way back and there's no back way)…your post just reminded me of that very awful song. Almost as bad as Bill Gaither's first song, “No hoof shall be left behind” …at least his was joyful. But we were both lost in Revelations. :D He went on to become quite suscessful, I am told. :p

My Cristal ball is broken, and I have not yet gotten a new one.
Maybe you should read Nostradamus prediction, I think the History Channel has a program on to night.
You were the one that said, “the book of Revelation is a tangled mess”, I was trying to help you untangle it, I ask you to ask questions from the book of Revelation, not the News Paper.

    Georg

Ah, and thus I expected the book of Relevations to have some relation to major things happening in the world today, that will lead to the most likely candidate for your “end”.

I would have expected if the book were relevant to today, that it would be relateable to today.

This is nothing to do with either Nostradamus, crystal balls – or the bible (my original contention).

This is everything to do with what I can see with my own eyes in the real world around me. No need for the bible, Nostradamus or crystal balls – I can just look at the world here and now. I think I have at least a basic grasp of the science involved, and thus these are my own questions, not ones from the newspaper.

Rather than ask a single question, perhaps better if I form a brief synopsis of my world view – and you could do the same from Revelations (a very brief and clear summary of the content in understandable terms if you like). Here goes:

“The world is entering a time of probable significant climate change. This means big changes to what crops can be grown when and where, undermining food security for a large portion of the human race. We are already into a period of positive feedbacks where processes in the natural world are starting to irreversibly amplify themselves. The tendency of humans to fight when presented with limited resources gives a poor outlook for the continuation of our current civilisation.”

In 4 sentences, that's my synopsis – what would Relevations say – strictly in the context of, say, the next 5-10 years? (no need to mock me with Nostradamus, since I don't yet see how Revelations is better)

Mandy! You are right as far as being the elect. There are Millions that lost their lives and were persecuted and died for Jesus. Those are the Saints, that are under the Altar waiting. I don't believe either that we are in the first resurrection. But we will all be taught in the Millennium by Christ and His Saints, only all truths will be taught. No more confusions. Satan will be bound for that time and at the end will be loosed
,and all will be tried. Unfortunately there will be a Multitude that will follow Satan right into the Lake of Fire. You know, I believe that God is showing us some truths so we will not have to much of a bad time then. Who knows what all we are missing right now. As long as we stay under the Blood of our Savior, we are going to be just fine. Just like David said a long time ago, that He would rather be the Doorman in the Kingdom of God, then any King here on earth. I always remember that and hope too. Awesome is our God……that He send His only begotten Son, that soever believed believed in Him, will not perish, will not perish, but have everlasting life. That is a song.

    Cindy,

It is the spiritual Israel, the born again saints, the 42nd generation that is spoken of here. The generation of Jesus from the cross to the end of time. You must look at this with spiritual eyes and not carnal. This is not speaking of the modern day Israel in 1948.

“Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

According to Mattew in the 17th verse, the total generations (14+14+14) would be 42.  But when we count the generations down through Jesus, there are only 41!  As we read the first sixteen verses of the book of Matthew we find that David was the 14 th generation, from David to the Babylonian captivity made Jeconias the 28th generation and from Jeconias to Joseph (husband of Mary) was another 12 generations making Joseph the 40th generation. This makes Jesus, according to the generations of law, the 41st generation so where is the 42nd generation?

There seems to be a missing generation, or is there?  Note that the scripture says UNTO CHRIST!  The answer is that there is only to be one generation since Jesus and it is a nation of sons that have been coming forth since the resurrection of Christ! They are the CHRIST generation, those who are born of the Spirit of the Living God. It is an eternal generation born of the Holy Spirit of the LIVING GOD!  It is the generation of THE CHRIST! The Psalmist declared a 'seed' that would be accounted for a generation!”

With a little help from the teachings of Bill Britton. Mama once told me, “You don't have to know everything, but you do need to know who does, so you can ask them”… :D

Greetings E….. Your Mom taught you well….It is your responsibility to discern who knows and who doesn't…. A biblical generation I believe is 40 years,if that is the case we are living in the 50th generation and BTW the 50th year biblically is a time of a jubilee where by debts are forgiven and land is returned to its original owners..If David was the 14th generation, than 560 years before or ( 14 Generations) is when Abraham started his geneology….Iam confused with mathamatics and the geneology….If you want to extrapalate and play with numbers….I would think the 42 generations you speak of would bring us back to around the time of the founding of the universal church..( Nicea council 300+ AD )

It contains much about trumpets being blown, seals being opened, thunders and so on. Not to mention large quantities of plants and ships being destroyed and things falling from the sky (e.g. Wormwood). Then there's the stuff about the Beast and so on. I'm not intending to waste time reading it again to be honest.

If it were so easy for you to answer my simple question – to relate the narrative of the book of Revelation to current events in a simple summary, I imagine you'd have answered already.

Douglas I think I will say something to you, about my Husband. He does not have to be worry if He will be saved. He not only knows so much about Prophecy, but also about other doctrines that re kept by so many Churches, which He and I can prove to be wrong. After all it is in proving all that we are on the right track. My Husband not only takes care of me, since I am disabled and can't do much, but He also takes care of our Daughter who is a single Mother to two of our Grandchildren. He is a Christian through and through. So don't short change Him, just because you can't understand the things He says about
Prophecy. I don't know if He has told you, but before He starts His study, He asks God in Prayer to help Him understand.

Greetings Douglas……The book of Revelation is just that a revelation of events to those that have ears to hear and wisdom to understand….and let me say this, there are many who profess to understand but have no idea what they are talking about….This is a book…Not be dismissed because of its symbolic nature, but should be embraced with fervent prayer and a contrite heart so as to be understood…The message is frightening and at the same time is representative of the Hope through the mercy and love of God for all….Your very survival from the trials that will befall all of us could very well depend on your understanding of this book….It is the Revelation of Jesus to his servant John…

Hey guys: I don't know anything about the rapture(a good feeling) it is not in the Bible. Yet I do know what happens at the end of the ages because Jesus said at the harvest even though the wheat and tares were growing together the tares would be gathered and burned. One can follow man created doctrines with scriptures taken out of context and believe them as truth but I know what Jesus said. The righteous remain. Bless you, TK

    JUDGMENT DAY:

The final day of Judgment has come. The word of God is the final judgment. You have been judged as perfect in Christ! You are the righteousness of God in Christ! If you believe your righteousness in Christ, then your judgment is over! Judgment is by faith. God said it, that’s final! The great judgment is at hand and the eternal word of God (Jesus) has gone forth to judge the sinner or one that thought he was in sin, as righteous. Remember, the eternal word of God was, is now and forever will be. Gods word has purified like fire any wrong doing or sin. God’s word is purifying and God’s word will purify. Gods word (Jesus), has cut away the chaff from the wheat and is separating the goats from the sheep and is making mankind perfect once and for all. It is for all that will believe. Those who disbelieve have denied their perfection/salvation and condemned themselves to pain and suffering on Earth. Can you hear the Spirit call? Now, you judge yourself, either perfect in Christ through believing what Jesus says or condemned to hellfire somehow for eternity! You are the ruler of your Kingdom, not anyone else’s. The choices of what to believe are yours alone. Jesus said, “judge not others, lest ye be judged, for by the same judgment you use for them, it will be measured back to you”!
There is therefore now, no condemnation in Love. Condemn no one, lest you be condemned. Did you hear? Don’t judge/condemn what people do as wrong in Gods eyes. If they are transgressing your personal space ask them kindly to correct the situation. You see, telling someone their wrong in God’s eyes, or that they are sinning, is totally different than telling them you don’t like something their doing. In other words don’t tell them they are sinning or doing wrong against God! That is not your right to judge. If you judge at all judge in righteous judgment. All are righteous in Christ. What they are doing may or may not be wrong in your eyes or your brother’s eyes but if you judge it wrong for him in God‘s eyes, then the judgment becomes yours personally. You rule (you) God’s Kingdom. You’re free to do and experience anything in and of yourself, but leave others alone to rule their own Kingdoms. Your freedom is their freedom. If you attempt to condemn others it will not affect them but it will affect you because you are condemning yourself. Actually with the freedom given in Christ, there are no rules or laws from God. So, if you take your power and set a rule or law for another person it doesn’t effect them, it establishes a rule for you where there was no rule, only freedom. For those of you who think that there will be a final, great white throne judgment day before God, and God will be the judge, know that, he will judge you by the same eternal word he gave to Jesus to give to all who would accept. You were cleansed, you are clean and you will be clean! Now, then, always, Heaven is home. You don’t try to get there, you live there. You are spirit, animating a soul and living in a physical body in the Earth. The essence of you is the eternal life force or Soul of God and you are experiencing life in physicality. There’s Heaven and Earth and when you leave your physical body, you are in Heaven. We have been made free in Christ. Where there is freedom, there is no law, where there are no rules, there are no laws and there can be no punishment! This is in relation to God, not this earthly physical world. Here there are rules, and laws. Gods kingdom is peace, love, and joy in the holy spirit. No law needed! Do I believe in reincarnation as truth, yes absolutely! Jesus said that John the Baptist was Elijah whom it was for-told or prophesied he would come back into the world again. Try to expand your mind a bit and live outside the small box you have created. You have not only lived many, many lives here on Earth but I believe you are living multiple contiguous lives or parallel lives right now. Come on, stretch your mind a little, if you really believe you are the offspring of God, the Source of all Existence you will investigate a little about who and what you really are and are capable of doing. Its recorded that Jesus used teleportation, transfiguration, walked through walls, through people, walked on water, created money in a fish, stilled the wind, opened blind eyes and many more supernatural evidences of his control of the physical world. If you are just finding out that you are a child of the creator of all, are you not interested what your family inheritance might be. Especially if you are the creator’s son. An unlimited creator wants for nothing!! “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want…”! He just creates it himself!! Therefore, what could he possibly need? Give love to all, always. Give all people your same freedoms and gifts that God has given you and you will experience joy unspeakable.
