I have really learned here how much people do not read their bible. They get verses here and there from different people and places but do not really thoroughly read to get a thorought picture.
For instance most every Christian I have ever met thinks “Thou shall not Kill” is a general statement when it is a communal/community statement anyone could easily know this simply by understanding that directly after the commandments were given those who decided to reject the covenant were immediately slaughtered.
Instead of always trying to manuever your thought to match what you think something should mean why not honestly study what it does mean no matter how much you may dislike it.
Some here will even say all sorts of things about other religions that they call detestable and the same things or worse (in their opinion) are right in their Bible and when they find out instead of digging deeper into the actual study they conjure up excuses such as “Jesus changed all that” but where do they get that info? After Jesus the people including the disciples were still sacrificing animals in the temple and of course the laws of the Jews were still being carried out and Just because Jesus spared an adulteress that in no way indicates that the killing or stoning of adulteress had ceased that day so these people make erroneous claims as if that is actal validation or justification of excepting things in the Bible that they say they detest in other religions

Hi BD,The correct modern terminology is “THOU SHALL NOT COMMIT PREMEDITATED CRIMINAL HOMICIDE”,
perhaps you don't even know this; as it is apparent that YOU don't know very much about the bible.
This is because you put the quran above what the bible says, even considering the bible to be in error.PREMEDITATED CRIMINAL HOMICIDE is what the quran teaches muslims should do to 'kafirs'(those refusing islam).
YHVH DOES NOT CHANGE! (Mal.3:6)
Unlike 'al-Lah'(the god of the quran), where
many Sura's become abrogated by later Sura's.Like I said: I would be willing to discuss the bible with you at any time,
so that YOU can learn what our heavenly father really says on many biblical issues.B'shem, יהוה (YÄ-hä-vā)

If you went into the tent of your neighbor or brother with plans to kill him, regardless of who told you to do this, and then hacked him to death with a sword, it would be PREMEDITATED CRIMINAL HOMICIDE.

I wouldn't call it PREMEDITATED CRIMINAL HOMICIDE, if a murderer
was killed, before a national judicial system was established.
The means of death wouldn't matter, what do you got?God bless

EDWhere do you get tha information? It is not in the scriptures, is it your position that the scriptures should or could be updated?
What would modern terminology have to do with WHAT IS WRITTEN? Are you saying that what you wrote is the accurate Hebrew translation if so you know that is not true.
Now although I have already explained to you that I do not prefer to discuss the Quran with you any longer you said
Quote PREMEDITATED CRIMINAL HOMICIDE is what the quran teaches muslims should do to 'kafirs'(those refusing islam). Without even arguing the point(even though it is incorrect) does the Bible ever prescribe this for unbelievers? If so, why isn't it criminal?
I recall Moses ordering the killing of thousands that didn't accept the covenant and God ordering the killing of ALL the Amalekites even if they were children. How do you reconcile this with your belief?

Would you call it premeditated criminal homicide to kill non-murderers? Such as the children of the Amalekites and the children of those who didn't accept the covenant or the children that lived in Sodom and Gomorah or the children thatlived in the days of Noah or the children of the Cannanites…etc.?March 17, 2012 at 2:02 am#285473Ed JParticipantDo you have any real questions, or are you just filled with complaints?

If you weren't ready to respond why not just wait instead you pretended there was no question given to you and believe me they were not complains as I unlike you don't doubt God.March 17, 2012 at 5:14 am#285527Ed JParticipantHi BD,

You started the word game by changing words in the bible to something that seemed more palatable to you.
Bod is not ashamed to answer the same questions that he asked about your new definitions.
Why are you Ed?Tim

I will say one thing I do not know what you believe in but to me I often find there are some people who are believers of God
more than they know but there are these hypocrites and convoluters that are so corrupt and so dishonest with what they share with people about God, that any person in there right mind would declare disbelief just to not be associated with hypocrites Jesus was right when he said:Matthew 21:28-31
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Parable of Two Sons
28 “But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go work today in the vineyard.’ 29 And he answered, ‘I will not’; but afterward he regretted it and went. 30 The man came to the second and said the same thing; and he answered, ‘I will, sir’; but he did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father?” They *said, “The first.” Jesus *said to them, “Truly I say to you that the tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the kingdom of God before you.
My point is those who are resisting God often are only resisting the false representaions of God but their heart and actions tell a different story there are so many with Honesty and Love that are bombarded and blocked on the path for the self aggrandizement of others these are the ones where it is written
Luke 11:52
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
52 Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you yourselves did not enter, and you hindered those who were entering.”
Excuse my short rant Tim but this is how I truly feel, God Bless
