Yes exactly.  Israel was not around during the days of Abel, but because Israel chose to serve Babylon, then they share in her sins.

No I don't think that television is the mark of the beast.
Television can be used for good and for evil.
Through tv, we can see how the world is developing.  We see all the evil out there, we see all the idols that the world worship like actors, musicians, and material things (buy, buy, buy)

We see the way man has raped the earth and how he has destroyed our planet.
We see what's going on whether good or bad, and we can sift through whatever we want to watch.

Then we have the internet, or the papers.  All are media outlets.  All are used for good or evil.
But information is available to us at such a fast rate now, and we can communicate, like you and I are communicating right now, and others are following and learning.

We are learning at such a fast rate today.
As christians, information is readily available to us.  We can sift through and discern and see all the things that Christ warned us about over 2 thousand years ago, and even going further back to the things the prophets warned us about concerning the end times.  All these things are concerning what is going on in this physical world, Babylon.
Without knowing all we know, we would be ignorant of the times, and in the dark.
Even the wicked are learning.
They learn how to do evil even on the other side of the world where they live (internet)
They are learning real fast too,
and as technology increases, and evil grows,
this gives a breeding ground for Christ to return soon and intervene,
as he says evil has to grow to the maximum till he comes and cuts it down.

We compare everything going on to what is written in the holy scriptures.  Old and new.
Television is not the image of the beast.

The image of the beast, is the new system to come.  How this world will operate.  It will have new laws, and a new way of trading.  It will be a cashless society, and we will need this mark of the beast to buy and sell, and we will have this mark on our right hand or forehead in order to do it, otherwise we will starve.
And we are warning all, better to starve than accept this mark and this new system, because it's the devil's own mark to mark anyone belonging to babylon, his kingdom.  Sealed by him.

Isaiah 28:9   Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

You asked me some questions/ made some points week or so ago on a subject…sorry I didn't answer, it is because I could not find it but instead found pages and pages of Ed flooding EVERY subject/post with his Muhammad thing…every single post!!

By the time I get on heaven net, there are at least 5 pages of this Muhammad debate on EVERY SINGLE POST!! It's turning me off coming to this site.

One reason against TV being the image of the beast is that the false prophet forces people to worship this image! So this image is going to represent/speak for this first beast and that first beast ONLY…TV is not exclusive nor does it stand for one thing and one thing only.
Every nation already has its own image that speaks and acts, but these images are not THE image…because that beast has not yet come out into the open to be acknowledged yet.
These images are the laws of the land…and they speak:do not kill…and they act: detain/punish the killer.

Just some things 4u 2 ponder.
