    Hi T8,

It is not the threat for not answering questions that troubles me.
I have never refused to answer questions, but ONLY questions that limit!

Your new found joy is a system where you've created a 'bully pulpit' for YOURSELF!
That is the reason Nick Hassan left here, and the very same reason Stuart is now gone.
And that is what I stand against! Do I make myself clear? Because this issue will not go away.

You play by a double-standard, because you are the Judge, Jury, and executioner – thus 'a dictator'.
It is not like that in the U.S.A., we don't have dictators, well at least not until Barak Obama was elected.

Ed J, how many tiles do you, and Nick have? Answer is zero.

So far the only advantage I have over yourself, Nick, or anyone is at best, my own words.

If I win a debate, then I win that because of my words, not because I have more money than you, or a nuclear missile pointed at your house.

You sound like a sore loser Ed J.

I expect a good debater to answer questions. I certainly answer questions.

And if this is too exposing for you Ed J, then know that this is not the only forum on the WWW.

The truth is that people often leave or feel threatened because they lose a point or debate in public and that hurts their feelings. Rather than be humble and admit it, pride causes them to leave, complain, or start accusing others of malpractice.

Get over it. Be a man of God. Always ready to answer what it is that you believe. Don't hide in the dark or behind petty excuses.

Lastly, Stu had 2 tiles to his name and chose to leave of his own free will upon getting the second tile. The first one didn't make him flinch. And why did he leave? Not because of the tile, but because he knew he had to answer a question about what he believed and was not going to be able to dodge it anymore as he had been doing for years. He simply did not want to lose a debate that was being prepared. He left because he knew he was going to lose publicly.

Oh how terrible. A fate worse then death. Oh t8 is just a dictator. Horrible. How dare we try and get honest answers from those who preach God or no God. What is Heaven Net coming to. Nasty stuff.

Are we saying stu left of his own free will? How many tiles do you need to be banished?

T8 can do as he wants. It's his play ground and his rules.

But, there does seem to be reason sometimes to not answer. (Yes, it's almost always when you have no good answer and can't explain your beliefs. And yet:)

But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge–to the great amazement of the governor.

But if you see The gospel of John, jesus is aggressive, his tounge dose not cleve to the roof of his mouth, he catapults the kingdom into the future. Because the Jews did not defend him! In which the Jews were no match for the Roman Empire, did Jesus retaliate an hit out according to the gospel of John, or was he a lamb taken to the slaughter as Mathew suggests?

We know he was destroyed by the law. All we have about him is how step by step he dies an rose under the power of law, as if law will tell him his each step of the way, an knows what to reply to his coming an going!

I am not convinced that the law the authority to have ruled over the dead, an used Jesus as power into rituals sabbath day feasts, an strange acussing an forgiveness.

    David,

Because someone does not answer could mean that they need time to think about it!

I am thinking about the two witnesses of revelation, ATM. If somebody demanded I answer them, then that is not fair! I will answer when I am ready to answer, after i have looked into it more, otherwise my answer would not be correct or adequate. Forum or reality.

I don't know is an acceptable answer.

Just trying to curb those who preach but will not answer good questions when challenged. Actually I don't even mind that too much, it is when they preach after that, as if they are right.

We should always be ready to give an answer as to what we believe. IMO, if you cannot, then don't preach it as the truth. Say it is something you are investigating or something like that.

    t8, that is true :)
    I see your point.

Perhaps where it is not right is when other members use the Hotseat for “revenge”, because the poster has not answered their question to their satisfaction, when in fact the person HAS answered the question, just not how THEY want it answered. This happened to me. It seemed more of a battle of their own doctrines rather than a true search for truth, if you understand me.

    Mary,

Yes, even though Jesus came to offer eternal life, and to set the captives free.

    Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me;
he has anointed me to tell the good news to the poor.
He has sent me to announce release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind,
    to set oppressed people free.

    Matthew 5
3“How blessed are those who are destitute in spirit,
because the kingdom from heaven belongs to them!
4“How blessed are those who mourn,
because it is they who will be comforted!
5“How blessed are those who are humble,
because it is they who will inherit the earth!
6“How blessed are those who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness,
because it is they who will be satisfied!
7“How blessed are those who are merciful,
because it is they who will receive mercy!
8“How blessed are those who are pure in heart,
because it is they who will see God!
9“How blessed are those who make peace,
because it is they who will be called God’s children!
10“How blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
because the kingdom from heaven belongs to them!

John 15:25 But this happened so that what has been written in their Law might be fulfilled: ‘They hated me for no reason.’

    Hi 2Besee,

Yes, that is the problem –  :)  – that is also what has happened to me as well.
When that is one's goal, they will get NO SATISFACTION in the Hot Seat (from me).

I do believe the Bible reveals the true Ideas of what took place in Jesus day, I do believe that there are not enough Skeptics asking the answers questions.

Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

I believe that I am faithful to myself, in those things that I have been able to see.

If you believe in the sacrificed blood of the lamb. You are numbered to the Roman Catholic Church who delivered you the book you read! Making themselves a fortune, while not being upset about the splits! So long as you keep the killing a must for sin you smell them, or a use them of cutting him off, an having the priest write for his uneducated apostle fisherman

    Mary,

Do you realize your words are vague?

I believe that Jesus sacrificed himself in order to seal the new contract with his blood. It is the contract by which we receive the Spirit that teaches us how to do all that is right and gives you the power to do it.

I know that the death of a man who never sinned condemned the Satan and his people for it revealed there kingdom as unjust in that that Jesus unjustly paid the wages of sin.

Mary is spot on with the contradiction between the original “good news”, taught and practiced by Jesus long before religion killed him, and the Pagan remix, compromise, distortion, bloody human sacrifice doctrine of the Romans.

All around the middle east, from Egypt to the Greeks, the Romans, the Persians and beyond, all these cultures had religions with sacrifice stories wherein a divine being was subject to sacrifice for the the sins of many.

The “good news” of Jesus was that all men and women are the children of a loving and forgiving Father, that salvation is by faith.

People were so glad to be free of the yoke of traditional slavery to the priestly sacrificial system, they were now FREE to have a personal relationship with a Loving God, each under their own vine, each with their own understanding.

Mary is right that the consequence of Roman contamination has Christians needing an innocent man to die for their own sins rather then reconciling themselves to God if need be.

Everything went down hill after the ascension.

    Colter
