August 12, 2004 at 2:02 am#3985NickHassanParticipantI come from a large very catholic family and I learned about the bible through that church. I learned about the Holy Spirit through the charismatic renewal and was baptised in the Spirit during Good News 80. I was baptised in water when I realised my catholic baptism was a fraud in 1984. I started reading the bible and realised there was considerable conflict with catholic teachings and decided I could not stay and live a lie.As a catholic I believed that Jn 6 about eating the flesh of Jesus meant attending communion -but verse 63 showed me it was the Spirit that gave life and Mt 4 .4 explained that I could not live on bread alone but on every Word that proceeded from the mouth of God.
I have baptised my 7 seven children and they are all going on the right path, though my dear wife still remains catholic.
My work as a doctor brings me daily into the realm of satan's mischief and I can sometimes share a word with them.We also have a small vineyard in Marlborough NZ.
My son encouraged me not to hide my light under a bushel so I am putting my talents in God's bank in case it might help someone else. I had found the trinity doctrine wrong many years ago through personal study and am grateful to find a forum where my views are not regarded as wrong becuse they are not orthodox. I am not a follower of man but my views ,with all their faults, reflect what the Lord has taught me through prayer and the study of the Word.April 12, 2006 at 11:10 pm#12660davidParticipantHi Nick. Your wife is Catholic? That must be difficult. (mt 10:34-37) What kind of doctor are you? I somehow didn't picture you as a doctor.
david.
