Quote Hi WJ: Jesus said God was His Father, and he was conceived of the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Ghost is God's Spirit as the scriptures state, and not a third person as you are teaching. It isn't that difficult to understand.
Jesus was going to ascend to the right hand of God, and so he was not going to be on earth as the Apostle's helper, and so, he said he would send them another helper, and he also made it clear that the helper was already with them but would now be in them. He was speaking of the Holy Spirit which we already have stated was God's Spirit.
Jhn 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever Jhn 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
Love in Christ,
MartyMarty,
Jesus said that the Father would send the Spirit IN HIS NAME (on His authority). You have avoided this like the plague. Paul said also that the Spirit is Christ's:
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Romans 8:9)
This not only says that the Spirit is Christ's but it also infers that Christ is God.

The Son of God is a “man made mystery story” to you? He is your Savior and the “SOURCE of eternal salvation to all those who obey HIM” (Hebrews 5:9).You err in saying that you need only the apostles. The apostolic church was given prophets, teachers and pastors IN ADDITION to the apostles (Ephesians 4; 1 Corinthians 12).
You are under a delusion.

Hi thethinker:I have already explained the verse that you quoted out of Romans, but as for Jesus sending the Holy Spirit in his name, he does this through praying to the Father as the following verse states:
Quote Jhn 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever–
Jhn 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.Love in Christ,

Hi Thinker,If you are one of the 'skilled', when I ask you to explain something, then why do you sometimes refuse to explain?
You tell me to address your points, yet you don't address any points to me?
Don't you not see this can also be seen as another inconsistency?
You tell others if they cannot remain consistent in their views, they need to be dropped.
You can drop this inconsistency on your part by responding to my questions; Yes?Do you not want “us” to understand your views?
OR is your intent to break others down?
Should not your intent be informative, offering others a choice to consider your views?
OR do you enjoy getting NOWHERE telling others they are wrong?
Think about it Thinker?God bless

how many spirits do you have?you are trying to say that the true spirit is different than the one we are given?
January 16, 2010 at 4:21 pm#170485terrariccaParticipanthi PoK
the spirit of God is the will of God ,and it is clear that God as given all powers to Christ so he can bring all people who believes in him to the father,in the way he had teach ed his disciples, and lay down the foundation to salvation for anyone who believe in him.
so the spirit of Christ is his voluntary zeal to obey is father Will and accomplish all things in his father name.so that at the end of it all we be one with him and his father.January 16, 2010 at 5:09 pm#170493JustAskinParticipantterra, you have true faith if you hold to the statement in your last post.

Nothing direct but extrapolate from the following two qoutes:
Quote 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 (King James Version)
10: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11: For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.[QUOTE2 Peter 1:21
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.[/QUOTE]Could “Will” and “Spirit” be successfully substituted and the exact meaning be retained?
January 16, 2010 at 6:05 pm#170503NickHassanParticipantHi T,
The intellectual will of man is always opposed to the mind transforming Spirit of God.January 16, 2010 at 6:09 pm#170505JustAskinParticipantNick, can you let us know what you are talking about?
January 16, 2010 at 8:36 pm#170522terrariccaParticipantnick
man is made with physical attributes, like muscles, nerves and arms hands feet's ,brain, nervous system, ect
without the spirit or power to move that machine it would stay on the ground,so God give it a spirit of live or power to be alive, from now on man can start is journey to learn and how more he learn how more he want to learn, this learning ability is to me your intellect you have also the ability to use that knowledge this i call intelligence, intelligence is connected to the understanding of your acquired knowledge.
now man is face with a variation of possibilities in learning because there is good and evil knowledge
this will be related to the wanting of is personality and hearth(center of feelings).wen it comes to the knowledge of God what is the true knowledge of reality ,man as to learn this true reality to see it the way God sees it and understand it the way God want him to understand it not himself, because only God knows the mind (plans) of God ,the plans of God are related to his will because wen he execute the plan, his will put in place to act or to put in motion the plan.
is first manager so to speak is Christ the WORD this is his Job so to speak to perform all the requirement acts to execute the plan, for this he receives all powers accordingly(all power have been given to me )
it says in the scriptures “my word do not come back to me without being accomplish”(God talking)
in is term God as shown us what he likes and not likes then he send us his Son to make sure that he make the father know to the world so that we may love him the way he really is an Spirit Being, and that the way he want to be worship ,Christ being the image ,not the flesh of Christ the spirit of his personality from the time of is anointed baptism to is dead on the stake.to make sure that it was so Christ reappears to his disciples to confirm all the things God in is plan told him to say and to do.
this is the way i understand it (in a condensed version)
